133. Failed snagging

Joel was still sleeping under the blanket when suddenly his hand moved around fumbling the other side of the bed beside him. His two eyes instantly opened wide as he felt the place beside him empty.

Forcing his own body to get up and sit down, he rubbed his face slowly to gather his consciousness, looked back at the side of the bed and found no one there.

His gaze turned towards the window leading to the balcony with the curtain slightly open and saw the sun had risen and was still leaning on the east side.

"Sweety,," call Joel.

Joel steps into the bathroom, but finds no one there. The big room was completely empty, there was no one but himself.

"Sweety,," call Joel again.

"It's not funny!" abugn.

Anxious feelings began to creep in his heart. Joel checked the balcony, and it was also empty. He grabbed the phone on the nightstand, intending to call his wife, but soon sat down languidly on the edge of the bed when he saw Ariel's phone was also there.

Joel unlocks Ariel's phone, but finds nothing suspicious.

"It's still very early, go where without saying anything to me?" he panicked a little.

Joel grabbed the bathrobe and immediately put it on, because he did sleep only wearing shorts. With a hasty step, he exited the room wearing only a bathrobe, forgetting one important thing where when he went out the room without carrying a cardlock, and ended up with the door locked automatically.

Ariel lowered her voice, not wanting to disturb the other room occupants who were likely still sleeping. He looked back at Joel who was scratching his head.

"Wait here, I will ask the receptionist to open our room," said Joel who immediately greeted Ariel with glaring eyes.

"Don't joke!" hardik Ariel was getting upset.

"You want to go there like that?" ariel pointed at Joel from top to bottom.

'A typical new face wakes up, a bathrobe on his body and messy hair. Although it did not diminish his good looks, that was precisely the case, moreover he was without wearing his glasses, Ariel grumbled inwardly.

Ariel gave a quick peck on Joel's lips to make the man go silent for a moment. Ariel smiled gently, putting her palm on Joel's cheek before returning to say.

"Bunny,," called Ariel for an answer because Joel kept quiet.

Joel finally nodded weakly despite not being completely willing. But he did not want to make things worse with his stubbornness.

Seeing that, Ariel smiled, then turned around and left Joel who did not take his eyes off until he disappeared when the elevator door closed.

During the trip to the receptionist table, several pairs of eyes that passed by him did have time to look at him, but Ariel ignored him.

The receptionist picked up another card and asked the room service clerk to help Ariel open the door.

"Our officers will open the door for you" he explained.

"Thank you" Ariel smiled.

"Thank you again, have a great day, miss," she replied with a friendly smile.

Ariel leaves with one room service officer behind her, following Ariel to her room.

'Oh my goodness, that lady is so sweet, ' the inner receptionist while looking at Ariel's back that is getting away.

Shortly after, Ariel arrives in front of the room, asking Joel to stay away while using her hand signals.

'BEEP, ' heard the sound of a click on the door sign has been opened.

"Please, miss," said room service politely.

"I'm very helped, thank you very much" Ariel said.

"Your comfort is a priority for us" he said.

"I'm sorry, let's miss" said room service.

Ariel nodded while maintaining the smile on her face. Just when the room service officer disappeared from his sight, he immediately asked Joel to come in and close the door. He turned and looked at Joel who was now avoiding him.

"Now what?" ask Ariel.

"It's nothing" replied Joel briefly.

"The answer you say is an affirmation that there is nothing" Ariel argued.

Joel chooses silence and goes to the bathroom, avoiding eye contact with his wife.

'I saw the way the officer saw you, and it was very unpleasant. But if I say it, I worry about not being able to control my emotions anymore and going back to hurting you. I don't want you to leave me, Joel.

"Are you angry with me?" ask Ariel.

Joel stopped in front of the bathroom door, then turned his body to look at Ariel's bead eyes.

"I don't want what I think to make things worse, so let it go" Joel replied.

"I'll take that as an answer, yes" Ariel said.

Joel turned his head quickly, setting his gaze on Ariel who was standing not far from him.

"What do you mean say that?" joel didn't like it.

'I wanted to ask her why she disappeared this morning, but what if her answer would just make me unable to control my emotions anymore? While he answered my question with a flat reaction as usual, Joel's inner self.

"The way you think is so simple, that sometimes it makes me fail to understand what you mean" Ariel replied.

Slowly, Ariel began to step closer to her husband. As if understanding what was the cause of his heart's anxiety.

"My reason for disappearing this morning? Is that what you think? And the thought grew that maybe I just left you? Or are you worried about how you react after hearing my answer?"

Everything Ariel said was right on target, and enough to make Joel swallow his saliva.

"I saw you fall asleep, and didn't want to wake you up" said Ariel, still moving forward to approach Joel.

"This morning I took up aerobic activities with other guests, and continued the gym for a while. The reason I left the phone was, because I thought I was just a little while away and would be back before you woke up. Or at least right when you wake up,"

Ariel stood right in front of Joel, making her look up when she spoke while looking at her husband's face.

"Man tempts me? Of course there are," said Ariel trying to hold back laughter when seeing the reaction of Joel's face.

"But, she was away in seconds when I deliberately showed her, this," said Ariel showing her ring finger attached to their wedding ring.

Ariel reached out her hand, pulling Joel's neck so that the tall man in front of her was willing to bend down a bit and make it easier for Ariel to say something near her ear.

"And they'd rather not approach after seeing the mark you made. Isn't this sleeveless top working the way it should?" god Ariel whispered with a small grin on her face.

Joel pulled his face away from Ariel, swallowing his own saliva several times, until a red hue began to creep on his face when he realized some red marks on Ariel's neck and shoulders were still clearly visible when he saw it up close.

Ariel with all her might held back the laughter by smothering her own mouth, but it was useless.

Ariel was blown away while holding her stomach, Joel's reaction was beyond her expectations.

Instead of answering, Joel pulled Ariel into his arms, clutching her tightly. Feeling how easily Ariel quells her anger just by giving Ariel just a little time to explain.

"All right, now let me go!" ariel pushed Joel away.

"I sweat a lot and it's sticky, it's uncomfortable, too" Ariel said.

"Then, take a bath together," Joel suggested.

"Interesting," greeted Ariel, making Joel smile happily because Ariel agreed with her proposal.

However, Ariel immediately closed the bathroom door and locked it quickly before Joel had a chance to enter.
