The atmosphere of the beach at night looks crowded. Some people prepare wood to make a campfire.

Some others light lanterns to decorate the surrounding beach that is used for the bonfire event that will start soon.

Among the people preparing for the event, Joel was sitting alone, waiting for someone.

Shortly thereafter, a smile fell on Joel's lips as he saw the person he was waiting for had returned.

"I'm sorry, I made you wait" he said before sitting next to Joel.

"It's okay. After all you're not that long" Joel said.

"It looks like the bonfire event will take place lively," he said as he circulated his pandagan.

People began to turn on the music to add to the festive excitement.

Barbeque, drinks and dancing had filled the area of the bonfire that had lit up.

Ariel sat docked at Joel's side with her hands outstretched toward the bonfire to warm her body.

"Will you dance with me, Ariel?" take Joel out his hand.

Ariel smiled, her eyes glancing at the people dancing happily to the stomping music. Seeing that, Ariel received Joel's hand and immediately stood up.

Joel drew Ariel's hand gently, joining the people who were dancing happily with the warm bonfires and the sea breeze.

Joel pulled Ariel closer to her body, staring fixedly at her eyes. Locking his pandagan just for himself. When suddenly a hand pulled Ariel's hand, it made her turn towards a tall man with a muscular body and long hair tied.

"Hi, gorgeous? Dance with me. You won't have any fun being with someone like him" the man sneered at Joel.

"Hey,,,! Get your hands off her!" hardik Joel doesn't like it.

Ariel held Joel's arm and grabbed him by the hand and squeezed him slowly. Trying to catch Joel.

"What do you mean by saying someone like him? You don't even know her" Ariel said.

" You're not even more handsome than him, you can say that silly thing, '" he continued.

The man stared dejectedly at Ariel and Joel alternately. While Ariel ignores the man and pulls Joel away from the man who has been bothering her.

"Curtain, forget it. Just go with her. You're not that hot anyway" she shouted.

Ariel ignored him, but it provoked Joel who immediately clenched his hands and prepared to return.

Before that happened, Ariel stopped Joel and said again

"Disregard it, don't serve such a person" Ariel said.

"But he_,,,"

"He's just one of the many br*gns*k people who have no activity other than to disturb others" Ariel said.

Joel fell silent, feeling useless for not doing anything when someone bullied Ariel in front of his eyes.

Seeing Joel's change in face, Ariel takes him to the beach and sits on the sand with her occasional foot on the waves.

Letting their bare feet feel the coolness of the sea at night and accompanied by moonlight reflected above sea level.

"I heard, they have a surfing community that is quite well known," said Ariel opened her voice.

"I'm not interested" replied Joel coldly.

"Didn't you like surfing? And you also said you weren't very good at making friends. This can be your first step to making a lot of friends, right?" ariel asked, looking at Joel who was looking at the sea.

"If that person becomes one of them, I'd rather have no friends at all" Joel said.

"Hey, don't say that, he's just one of them, doesn't mean it's all going to be like him" Ariel said.

"And again, I think you will be able to enjoy your time if you join them" he continued.

"You're a fun guy, Joel. And I'm sure many of them will feel comfortable around you" said Ariel.

"You feel that way?" joel asked doubtfully.

"Of course," greeted Ariel with a smile.

Joel smiled back and stared fixedly at Ariel's eyes that looked back at him. Slowly, his face drew closer, eroding the distance between them. As their distance gets closer,, the,,,

"May I,,?" joel asked as he set his eyes on Ariel.

Ariel smiled and nodded with permission, making a smile on Joel's lips.

With Ariel allowing it, Joel finally closed the distance between them, gently tucking Ariel's lips.

His hand moved towards Ariel's waist and pulled her closer. Hugged her and brought her lips closer to Ariel's ear and whispered.

"I love you, Ariel" said Joel.

Ariel pushed Joel and looked him in the eye, lowered her hand and stepped back.

"What do you mean by this, Joel?" ask Ariel.

His heart began to shake. At first, he only thought Joel was just mispronounced, but now Joel repeated his expression.

"I don't mean anything to you, I just want to say what I feel for you" Joel said.

"I don't know how this happened, but the annoyance I felt when you were close to someone else always bothered me. And it also made me worry that you'd be with someone else" he said.

"And I finally realized that I love you, Ariel" Joel said.

" I really hope this is a joke" Ariel said.

"Unfortunately, this is the truth, Ariel," Joel replied.

"The reason why I can feel comfortable when I'm with you, I can act as I please by being myself only when you're by my side" Joel said

" I didn't know at first why I was acting like that. But this afternoon, when I felt like I might not be able to go back to making me afraid that you didn't know what I was feeling, it was a strong reason that my feelings were real" she said.

Ariel was stunned, in her heart, she had closed tightly to anyone who wanted to enter her. However, the dinging he had built suddenly wavered upon hearing Joel's revelation.

His heart also did not know if he also felt what Joel felt. It makes Ariel speechless and do not know how and what to do.

"You don't have to reply, Ariel" Joel said after a brief pause.

"I'm telling you how I feel, doesn't mean you should say the same to me in return. I've had enough of you knowing how I feel, and I'll always ask you if you say no" Joel said.

"Wouldn't that feel selfish to you?" ariel looked into Joel's eyes.

Joel smiled gently and shook his head. Trying to find his disappointment.

"I'm only begging you for one thing, be the usual, consider this the worst joke you've ever heard" Joel said.

Ariel was silent again. One side is eager to give Joe a chance, but on the other hand, he does not want to hurt him if he gives him hope that cannot necessarily be granted by him.

"Should we go back to the campfire?" joel asked to stop Ariel's daydream.

" I think we can stay here, it's starting to look wild from being drunk" Ariel said.

"You look cold, Ariel," said Joel.

" Slightly, but I don't mind staying here" Ariel replied.

"Then I'll get you a drink" said Joel.

Joel moved out of place after seeing Ariel nod her head.

They spent the rest of the night gazing at the open sea and accompanied by a bottle of champagne. Their conversation just flowed, until without feeling their bottle was empty and decided to go home.
