44. Reunite

Jesica flinched and looked back. Surprised Joel had been standing behind the two of them.

'Damn, why do you have to show up now, Joel, ' Charlie lamented.

'I haven't even been able to digest what happened exactly. How did Jesica get to know Ariel and I don't?' thought.

"JOELLL,," cried Jesica girly.

"I can't believe you're here. I always go to the hospital and can't find you" Jesica said.

Ariel stared pushyly at Joel and Jesica. Then take a step back until it hits Bram with his back. I don't know since when Bram has been standing behind him.

'They know each other? Are they also in a relationship? Why is Jessi's reaction the same as when she was with Br_,, Ariel's inner self.

Ariel closed her eyes for a while, unable to finish the sentence that came to her mind.

'You, you, everything is really messed up, ' said Bram, putting his hands on Ariel's shoulders.

Jesica approaches Joel and intends to hug him, but Joel quickly dodges and approaches Ariel. Ignoring Jesica.

"Joel,,,!!" shouted Jesica.

"Why are you treating me like this?" sulky Jesica.

Joel stopped his steps, then turned to look at Jesica with furrowed brows. It stops right between Jesica and Ariel.

"I'll return the question to you,!" reply Joel.

"I'm sorry, what else do you want?" lamented Jesica.

"What I want is clear! If you don't remember it, then I'll repeat it. Don't show up in front of me again!" answer Joel.

Joel continued his steps and stood in front of Ariel. Looking at Ariel's face with anxiety.

'I've never seen him this angry, and said that coldly before, ' Ariel's inner self. 'Why did Joel put on a face like this?' coined.

"What the fuck?" hiss Jesica when seeing Joel cares more about Ariel than him.

"You've talked too much here, I'd be very grateful if you leave here immediately" said Joel coldly.

"You knew him? You know that naive woman?" jesica pointed at Ariel with her index finger.

"I hope you can take better care of your mouth, Jes," said Joel.

"Jes, that's, enough. We're getting out of here" Charlie interrupted with Jesica's hand.

"Shut up!!" hardik Jesica brushed Charlie's hand off violently.

"Do you know any of this? And you conspired with him?" sergeant Jesica continued to refer to Ariel angrily.

"What are you talking about?" argue Charlie. "I didn't even know you knew each other" he added.

Jesica looked back at Ariel. Where Bram and Joel are standing next to Ariel, as if protecting her.

"Are you taking revenge on me, Ariel? By taking Joel away from me?" accuse Jesica.

"I don't understand what you mean," Ariel replied flatly.

"Don't quibble!" jesica Sentak.

Jesica put on a face of bleakness, looking at Joel expectantly.

"How can you be with him, Joel? How do you know him? Is he the reason you no longer care about me?" lamented Jesica.

"Is it because of him that you don't want to come back to me? I still love you, Joel. I want us to be the way we used to be" Jesica hoped.

"Ariel has nothing to do with me not coming back to you, and you know clearly what my reasons are. If that's not enough for you, then I'll give you another reason" Joel said.

"Because I love her" said Joel.

Hygiene. . . .

Ariel immediately turned to look at Joel who was still staring at Jesica with anger on his face.

"No way! It couldn't have happened" Jesica said, shaking his head.

Jesica stepped back, continuing to shake her head and looked at Ariel full of hatred.

A few seconds later, Jesica turned around and left them behind, including Charlie, running and wiping away the tears that had soaked her face.

"Jesica,,,!!" call Charlie.

Charlie was confused as to what to do. For a moment, he looked at Ariel, the next moment staring at the departure of Jesica.

"Ariel, sorry, i_,,,"

"Go Charlie! After all he is your best friend" Ariel cut.

Ariel smiled gently and nodded her head slowly. Encourage Charlie to go after Jesica.

Silence crept between them.

Ariel stepped gontai leaving them without turning around and saying anything.

"Ariel, wait!" prevent Joel from holding Ariel's hand.

"Please leave me alone, I don't want to hear anything else" said Ariel, releasing her hand from Joel.

"Give me a chance to explain, Ariel," Joel said.

"I need some time. I hope you understand," replied Ariel flatly.

"Ariel, please listen first" said Bram.

"I'm tired, Bram. And I want to rest" said Ariel. "I'm so grateful for tonight. I enjoy it and will not forget it, Joel's night, Bram" he continued.

Ariel spoke without looking at them, and returned to her feet towards her apartment.

"Arrgh, Shit," said Bram.

Joel rubbed his face, then sat on the floor. His hands ruffled his hair in frustration. While Bram stood with a waist.

Shortly after, Charlie returns to meet the two of them. He gasped and put both hands on his knees.

"Where's Ariel?" charlie asked still adjusting his breathing.

None of them answered the question, making him understand without hearing the answer.

"It's my fault" Charlie said.

"When Ariel said to invite my friend, I unknowingly told Jesica that" Charlie said.

"I swear, that wasn't my intention, Joel. I completely forgot you were here. That's why I decided to prevent him from meeting you here" he said.

"I'm too careless, I'm sorry. I didn't expect Jesica to know Ariel" he added.

"Is that why you said sorry to me before you left?" ask Joel.

"Right," Charlie replied bowed.

"I don't blame you, Charlie. Thank you for thinking of me" said Joel.

"I'm no longer even worried about meeting Jesica at any time. Now, the problem is,,,,"

"Explain everything to Ariel" Joel and Bram said simultaneously.

"Wait a minute" Charlie raised one hand.

"Explain to me what really happened between them? How do they get to know each other? Then how does he know you too, Bram?" lick Charlie.

Bram was silent, not knowing how to explain it. Besides, he felt ashamed of himself.

"Can you explain everything to me, Bram?" charlie asked again after waiting but did not get the answer

"Where's Jesica now, Charlie?" sela Joel tries to distract Charlie.

"You're changing the subject won't be useful, Joel," Charlie said.

"Jesica left before I even managed to catch up to her," she replied. " That's why I'm here" he added.

Charlie looked back at Bram who was still silent. Still waiting for the answer. Until Bram finally told me everything.

"Do you remember when we were at Ariel's show that night?" ask Bram to start.

"Of course I remember" replied Charlie

"Jesica, me and Ariel, we're all connected to the story I told you about" Bram said.

"You mean?" ask Charlie.

"Jesica and Ariel are friendly, at least that's what Ariel thinks. But not for Jesica. For Jesica, Ariel is just a stepping stone for him" Bram said.

"So you're saying, Jesica was in a relationship with you too?" welcome Charlie to be surprised by Bram's statement.

Bram nodded slowly. With his head bowed, Bram told Charlie everything.

Charlie listened without interrupting. Sometimes Bram takes a deep breath, then continues his way.

After Bram ended his story, silence enveloped them.

"Now I understand the situation. I understand if Ariel wants to be alone for now, so for a while we don't bother her just yet" Charlie said.

Bram and Joel nodded in agreement. Though clearly their faces rejected Charlie's suggestion. However, given the unexpected events tonight, it left them with no other choice.
