75. Is Jesica really involved?

### Jesica Residence. Daylight

The car Joel was driving stopped right in front of the high gate and the magnificent Jesica family residence.

Jesica is shocked to see Joel coming to visit her house, but he is also happy with Joel's sudden arrival, thinking that Joel changed his mind and returned to her.

However, Jesica's warm smile was actually faced with Joel's cold gaze that pierced her heart.

"I'm so glad you visited me, Jo, but what's with that look? Why are you looking at me like you're gonna kill me?" moaning Jesica.

"You came all this way just to accuse me?" welcome Jesica narrowed her eyes.

"Then, explain why you're always in the same place when Ariel gets into trouble?" joel's upset.

"Why is he the only one in the best place when he gets into trouble? I'm even getting sick of hearing it" Jesica said.

"Because he deserved it?" greet Joel.

Jesica's jaw hardened, but he remained unmoved in his place. His eyes looked at Joel with deep anger and disappointment.

After saying that, Joel turned around and left the house of Jesica. While Jesica could only stare at Joel's back that was getting away.

"Why should he say such a horrible thing?" coined.

"I know he thinks I have full power because of my position and my father's, but that I won't use against him" he lamented.

"Ariel, you're getting thick, '" Jesica snorted.

Jesica turned around and chose to go inside her house. While Joel came out of Jesica's house with shaky steps.

"Wow, a surprise. What are you doing here?"

A question greeted Joel as he exited the main gate of Jesica's house.

"What are you doing here?" joel replied asking.

"Is it wrong to see my best friend, Joel?" insinuations.

"No, it's just that I'm surprised to see you're still in a relationship with him, Charlie," Joel replied.

"Come on," Charlie answered, raising his shoulder.

"But, it feels wrong if I stay away from her only after I become friends with Ariel. I can't just be on one side, I choose to stand between them, not stand up for anyone and believe what I think is right" Charlie said.

"Even though I knew their problems, I still couldn't turn my face away from Jesica. The time I spent with him wasn't a minute, and you know that, '" he continued.

"Well, you're right. Maybe your hardest position here" said Joel.

"Then, what are you doing here? Or rather, what are you making sure of Jesica?" ask Charlie.

"I'm just making sure if he's giving Aphrodisiac drugs to Ariel in the middle of an event he attended a few days ago" said Joel.

"What,,?" charlie was shocked.

"Why should the drug?" ask Charlie.

"Are you asking him or accusing him?" search Charlie.

"I_,, hah, well, I did accuse him because he was there when Ariel drank it" Joel said.

"Is Ariel okay?" ask Charlie.

"I mean, the person who has taken the medicine will_,,,," Charlie rubbed his face, unable to continue his sentence.

Joel's face again showed anger.

"I just can't accept the side effects of the drug that Ariel has to accept" Joel said.

"Is it bad?" ask Charlie.

"No, but still he has to have headaches and nausea" Joel said.

"Alright, I'll help investigate, just for now, don't be too hasty to draw conclusions" Charlie asked.

"You mean?" ask Joel.

"I have two perceptions of this" Charlie said seriously.

"We assume that Jesica did it, if you're too rash, it'll only make her plan things more carefully because you're watching her" Charlie explains.

Joel leaned back on his car, pondering what Charlie said was not wrong, it made perfect sense. And he also did not want to put Ariel in danger.

"Now, you better leave before Jesica finds out you're still here. I'll see him for a minute" Charlie said.

"Sure" replied Charlie.

Charlie stared at Joel's departure before entering Jesica's house.

Butler, who knew Charlie, immediately welcomed Charlie into Jesica's room.

"Jes, can I come in?" charlie said after knocking on the door.

Not long after, the door opened. It shows Jesica's flat face adorned with sharp wrinkles on her forehead.

"What business are you doing here?" grunts Jesica.

"Seeing Steven didn't ask me to leave, it didn't seem like you said anything to him" Charlie replied casually.

"Do you think it's important? You're not even that important to me, Charlie," said Jesica cynically.

"really? Then explain to me why you didn't kick me out?" challenge Charlie.

"I have my own way" replied Jesica, turning around.

Charlie smiled, and followed Jesica into the room, not forgetting that he immediately closed the door after being inside.

"Have you or Ariel been seeing each other lately?" ask Charlie carefully.

"That's not a question I have to answer" Jesica said.

"Did you also come by throwing charges at me?" ask Jesica cynically.

"Currently, why are so many people defending such a naive person?" coined.

"Do you hate him?" ask Charlie.

"You know what the answer is, so you don't have to ask the same question anymore" Jesica said.

"You just have to answer yes or no, Jes," Charlie replied.

"And why should I do it?" replied Jesica sneering.

"I refuse" replied Jesica.

"Can we just talk lightly, Jes? We haven't even talked to each other since_,,,"

"Since you accused me of sabotage, what now?" cut Jesica looked at Charlie, then turned her face away.

"Go home,!" pinta Jesica's.

"I want to be alone" he added.

"Jes,,,"

"I'm asking you very, very, very much, Charlie. Go home!" cut off Jesica before Charlie finishes his sentence and turns his back on her.

"I don't have any secrets with you, and you know? I have a sister who lives with me. I just want you to know about it, and hope our relationship can be the way it used to be" Charlie said.

Jesica turned around and widened her eyes, "Sister? How come? Since when?" hiss Jesica.

"They hid the truth about him from me, and I learned that not long ago" Charlie said.

"Oh,,,"

Jesica seemed to want to ask a question, but held her back and let Charlie leave her room.

"Lho, are you going home, miss? I'll just deliver a snack for you" butler said as he passed Charlie.

"It's a shame, Steve, I didn't take long, I just told him something" Charlie said.

"You haven't visited in a long time, why are you leaving so soon?" ask Steven.

"I've had a lot of work lately, so it's a pity that I can't take as much time as I used to" Charlie said.

"So apparently, Miss Jesica is also rarely at home lately, I had thought the lady was with you" explained Steven.

"Do you know where he's going, Steve?" ask Charlie.

"Absolutely not, but miss never came home very late" Steven said.

"Oh, that's when she went with me, so you don't have to report it to her parents" Charlie said.

"Ah, so it seems. I understand," replied Steven.

"I'll go first, see you Steve" said Charlie.

Charlie leaves the house of Jesica with various questions coming to his mind.

'Where did Jesica go to make it home late? And why was Ken home so late? What the hell is going on? Why does everything feel so complicated?' inner Charlie.
