Simon's Bride

Simon's Bride
17. Feeling watched

Anna closed the basket with the pie, fruit and bread she had bought. Today he is grateful Leonard was picked up by his grandfather Hamilton and went straight home, not whining to take Ann home first after Ann said he had business in some places.

Leon finally got into the car with bulging cheeks. Anna went shopping, bought fresh vegetables, fruit, cheese, flour and also some eggs. The feeling of being watched always felt, but Ann tried to calm down because despite feeling it for these few days, nothing happened.

Out of the cottage, Anna immediately locked him up. He looked around, the afternoon sun slipped among the trees, the day was still bright, he tore the basket with his left hand, his right hand touched the bag of his skirt and felt the two things he had stored there, make her skirt pouch bulge.

Anna walked on foot, taking a shortcut between the shrubs. He should be able to take a good walk if he passes the path in front of his house and then walks around and arrives at the path that is the path leading to the Wembley couple's cottage. However, it would take a lot of time as she walked, so Ann chose to walk down the trees.

After walking for about ten minutes, Anna arrived and found the couple sitting together on the porch.

"Ann?" Dora Wembley greeted him with a big smile.

"Hello, how are you, Dora, Ted .. you look healthy" Anna said. He climbed onto the porch and immediately sat down on the chair Ted had prepared.

"I made a fruit pie, perfect to accompany you to tea." Anna gave her basket to Dora.

"Thank you, honey. You're very kind to visit this old couple" said Dora.

Ted is seen opening a basket cover handkerchief. He immediately plucked the pie that was there. "It's delicious, Ann. As always," he said.

Anna smiled, then looked seriously at Dora.

"Dora, may I ask you a question?"

"Sure, Ann."

"Have you seen someone wandering around, or maybe even asked about me?

Anna saw Dora and Ted frowning. Despite living in the region for months, Anna has not talked about her life with her neighbor. He only sent food when he cooked a lot, chatted pleasantries for a moment, then went straight home.

"If asking about you doesn't exist, Ann. I was always home, no one came to ask me. What's up?" Dora looked at him curiously.

"Oh, there's no. My friend a few days ago searched my cottage when I was at school. He said he couldn't find it. I thought he might stop by here and ask you guys."

"Nothing, Ann. He didn't call you?"

Anna shakes. "No. That's why I asked. Maybe he hasn't come yet." Anna smiled lightly so that Dora did not ask further.

They chatted lightly, Ted told about an old car with an open tub that was now parked not far from the cottage yard. A car that can finally be driven again after a long time damaged. He and Dora again cleaned the yard and made a path that once began to be overgrown with plants so that it can be passed again.

"You can hire the lumberjacks to make your way to your cabin for a car, Ann." Ted said as he went back to eating a pie.

"I don't have Ted's car, so it doesn't feel necessary" Anna said with a laugh.

"But I often see your friend's car parked far away in the field. Cannot be brought in to the front of your cottage. If some trees are cut down and the path is slightly widened, it can be ridden up to the hut even if the path is not too flat."

Ted pointed towards the courtyard of his cottage." Like the path ahead of it, Ann."

"Let's see, I don't think the car fits into the woods, Ted." Dora chimed in.

"Ah, you're right. Black cars are too fancy. Too bad it scratches. Different from our old car," said Ted with a laugh.

Anna laughed, guessing that what Ted saw was Simon's car which had been parked very often at the end of the path to his house. The wide field at the end of the road.

"A few days ago, when I was going to buy feed for our pet bird, a nice car also once entered the forest path. Luxury cars a rare sight in this place is not." Ted said again.

Anna's eyes were focused on Ted.

"Car? Out here?" tanyakanya.

Ted nodded. "The old car just started operating again, so it got a little stuck, then there was a car passing by. The driver got off and helped me push a little. He finally wants to live. He's handsome, young. I asked where he was going. He said he was going the wrong way, he was looking for his relatives' house. A kind and polite man" Ted said.

"When is Ted?" asked Anna, trying to keep her tone normal.

Anna's heart was racing. He hears Ted's voice mentioning the time he met the man. The same day he came home and found his flower pot falling, but it happened a few hours before he came home with Simon and Leon.

"What does that guy look like, Ted?"

"As I said, he's handsome. Her eyes are blue, her hair a little blond. His smile was quite childish. He left after the old car was finally able to run again."

Anna gulped, trying to display a smile despite feeling her body begin to tremble.

Martin, Anna is beating.

"I don't think you'll ever see her again, Ted?" ask Anna.

Ted shakes. "Of course not. He was lost at that time."

"Alright, Ted, Dora. I'll go home first."

"Come, Ann. Don't go home yet. We rarely meet" said Dora.

"Finished making the pie I came straight here, Dora. I feel so hot. I need a shower." Anna tried to laugh, though it sounded strange in her own ears.

"Thank you, Ann," said Dora and Ted.

Anna then got up and began to step away from the Wembley couple's cottage. He took the same path as before. Along the way, his right hand went into the pouch, holding a handle of the knife he was carrying. Martin said back to him at that time.

You're only mine, Emillia. Never try to run. There is no life for you if you are not near me. If you're trying to leave, then you're choosing death.

Anna's eyes flashed and looked around her vigilantly until she arrived at the cottage. He climbed up until he arrived at the door that was still locked, then turned around and looked at the entire area.

"You there, Martin!? Kamarilah!" cry Anna.

Silent. There was no sound, only the sound of tree branches rubbing against the wind. Anna's face was cold and her molars fused together. He was shaking at the door and not moving until the sound of his phone ringing loudly made him jump.

"Geez!" Anna stroked her own chest, surprised to realize it was the phone in her pocket that rang.

He picked up his cell phone and saw Simon's name there.

"Hello?"

"Ann. Is there any time tonight?"

"No."

"Where are you going?"

"Sleep early."

"So you're at the lodge."

"Don't bother me tonight and the next few days."

"You are .. What are the next few days?"

"I'm going on vacation! Starting tomorrow. There's some sudden business I need to take care of."
