Simon's Bride

Simon's Bride
9. Lying

"I'm grateful, Mama. We were just about to head to the beach house to see Leon, "the beautiful lady told Anna.

Anna smiled, feeling a close handshake from the mistress, before she was then welcome to sit back.

Along with the aftermath, Leon came hand in hand with a golden-blonde little girl, her eyes very pretty, glowing blue like Leonard's.

"Mam Ann's. It's Valencia. Val, let's say hi to the teacher!" leon's orders to his sister.

The little girl happily complied, shook hands and met Anna.

Then he retreated in order, back to Leon's side.

The man who had come brought them arrived with a beautiful princess in his carriage.

"This is Leon's sister, Mam. Aisil." Leonard immediately introduced his sister in a proud tone.

Anna smiled, amazed to see the happy family portrait in front of her. A very handsome father, a very beautiful mother, and their daughter are adorable.

Mr. Lucca slipped his hands into his wife's waist, then asked everyone to sit back down.

The story goes along with drinks and small meals. Occasionally tucked in jokes in their conversation. Anna found, Mr. Lucca always took a glance at his beautiful wife with eyes glistening seductively.

Anna felt that she was interrupting the time to get together with the family. He shouldn't have been there.

"It doesn't feel like I've been here for almost an hour. Sir, Madam, I want to go home first" Anna said, rising to her feet.

Leon who was playing with his sisters instantly stopped.

"No, Mam. Don't go home yet" Leon said.

Footsteps then sounded closer. Everyone looked over, and found Simon Bernard already there.

Anna frowning. Didn't Leon say that his father was busy?

"Dad ...." Leon gulped, then moved to hide behind Anna's skirt.

"You have arrived" said Alric, greeting Simon with a smile, and the man looked at his wife. "I called. Simon couldn't have picked her up. Mam Ann came here to take Leon by bus. I think Simon should know" Alric told Mary.

Everyone then looked at Leon, including Anna who was looking back at his back.

"Leon? Leon lied?" ask Anna.

Slowly the little boy appeared from behind Anna's skirt. His hands were still clutching the skirt of his teacher's mother.

"I'm sorry Leon ... Mam Ann ... Dad .... everything .. but Dad never wanted to drive Leon here. Leon misses Val, also Aislin ... they will go again after this right?" Leon bowed lethargic with a guilty face.

Valencia immediately bumped into his brother and hugged Leon tightly. "Don't be sad, Val and Aislin will be sad when Leon is like this" she said.

Simon, Alric and Marylin looked at each other. The angry face that had decorated Simon's face immediately fell. He crouched down while throwing his suit over the sofa.

"Leon, come here." Simon developed his arm.

"Dad's not angry, is he?"

Simon shook his head. "No. Dad even wanted to apologize. Dad forgot to tell me that tonight, Daddy Alric and the family have dinner plans with us. Of course with Val and Aislin. Daddy should have brought you here since he found out Val and Aislin were coming. But forgive Daddy for being too busy."

Anna squinted her eyes. One more minus Leonard's father's value in his eyes. The man for the second time disappointed Leonard by ignoring his son's desire to get together with his brothers. Yesterday Simon did not attend Leon's show and this time ignored Leon's desire to meet his sisters, despite the difference of father, still they are brothers.

Leon finally took off Anna's skirt, then stepped into Simon's arms.

"I'm sorry Leon lied, Dad."

"Don't do it again, okay? You're making Daddy worried. It's a good thing Mam Ann was willing to drive her here."

Leon nodded his head.

"What if Mam Ann doesn't see you, then what are you going to do? I don't know what it would be like if you were here alone .." Mary asked her son.

Leon grinned, then turned to look at his mother. "Leon was waiting for Mam Ann. Leon knew Mam Ann would definitely not let Leon go home alone. Mam Ann was very nice. Also too worried for us kids in his class. Never been angry either. Mam Ann even took Leon to her house before dropping him off."

All eyes turned towards Anna, making a slight red hue flashed across the beautiful face of the teacher mother.

"He's overreacting. She was starving, so I took her home and gave her lunch. Just omelets and potatoes. It's nothing" Anna said.

"Mam Ann's omelet is better than Daddy's!" exclaim Leon.

Simon looked at Anna from head to toe. The one stared back at with narrowed eyes full of reprimand.

Simon raised both eyebrows.

"Well .. I think I should go home now. Our show tonight remains, Lucca. Uncle Hamilton has everything ready" Simon said as he turned to Alric.

"Wait a minute. Val and Aislin still want to play with Leon," pinta Marylin.

"Allah ... Leon can stay first ...."

"Ehm .. I have to go home now. I say hello to Mrs Marylin" Anna interjected.

"Mam .. don't go home yet" whined Leon.

"Mmm .. sorry Leon. But, Mam there is work to be done," said Anna.

"Your part-time job?" ask Simon in a quip.

Anna squinted at him, but did not answer.

"Alright, Leon. Because Daddy Alric's going to the beach tonight. Leon will go home with Val and Aislin. So play with them. Okay?"

Leon nodded in agreement with sparkling eyes.

"Mam Ann's. The driver will take you home if you want to go home now" Alric said.

Anna raised her hand and refused. "No need, sir. Really!"

"Let's Mam .. I'll be your driver" Simon said.

Alric and Mary simultaneously raised both of their eyebrows.

"As a thank you for taking care of my son."

Anna did not move. Simon saw the woman's hand clenched.

"I insist on driving you home ..."

"No need to be Mr. Bernard."

"I force."

"I can go home by myself."

"certain. But today. You'll ride in my car."

"You'll be bothered. it's not necessary."

"I don't bother."

Alric and Marylin looked at each other at the debate. Marylin finally interceded.

"Mam Ann .. You better go home with Simon." Mary deliberately glanced towards the wall clock.

"The last bus was past maybe fifteen minutes ago. It will be over in about two hours. If you are in a hurry to go home, you should take it. You can't walk into town, right?" Marylin said with a smile.

Anna's forehead creased deeply, then the woman forcedly nodded her head.

Simon smile. "Come on, Mam Ann," Simon asked.

As Anna began to step out of the room, Simon accompanied behind her. Not forgetting he turned to Mary and blinked one eye and raised one thumb at Leonard's mother. Soon Alrico clucked, making Simon immediately chuckle.

Arriving outside the mansion, Anna stiffly got into the car that Simon had opened the door to. The man then waved at the married couple standing in front of the mansion.

"Mam Ann doesn't seem to like Simon" Alric said.

"Looks like. Looked upset," Marylin replied.

"Leon's father is an expert at making other people upset, right?" alric said, clutching his wife's waist.

"He winked at you" added Alric.

Marylin laughed as she patted her husband's chest.

"You're! It's years! Still is!"

"I'm not calm yet that he's not married!"

"I pray she gets married" Marylin said, calming her husband.

"Hopefully. She's upsetting husbands!" alric grumbled. Made Marylin laugh again and gave a friendly kiss to her husband's lips.

A kiss that was immediately welcomed and reciprocated by the man.

"How about we go to the room? Val and Aislin will be busy with Leon" whispered Alric between his wife's lips.
