Simon's Bride

Simon's Bride
6. Follow Mam Ann

Leonard bit the bread and chewed quickly, not to mention the contents in his mouth he swallowed, his hand had raised a tall glass filled with milk that had been prepared by Lea his nanny on the table.

"Slowly, Leon. You could choke on it." Hamilton reached out his hand and intended to wipe away the remaining milk that was stuck above the boy's lips.

"Leon in a hurry, Grandpa Hamilton. Leon must arrive at the school gate before Jessi!" Leon put the lip of the glass back into his mouth and finished the whole milk.

Simon, sitting across the table, frowned at his son, who got up from his chair and walked up to Hamilton, then kissed the old man on the cheek.

"Leon's leaving now, Grandpa."

Without waiting for an answer, he immediately turned around, moving towards his father to kiss Simon on the cheek.

"wait. You're leaving now? Why don't you wait a little longer and get out with Daddy?"

"No, Daddy's gonna be a long time. Leon has to go now with Uncle Seth." Leon kissed his father on the cheek and ran out of the dining room.

When just a few steps ran, Leon's legs stopped suddenly. The boy half-turned and looked towards his father.

"Dad, don't pick up today. Leon's coming home with Uncle Seth and Nanny Lea!"

Simon frowned. "really? Is that all right? You don't mind?"

"Hu uh ... Daddy must be busy! So Leon asked Uncle Seth to pick him up!" Leon shouted while running. He kept his face from the eyes of his father and grandfather. He raised his hand and rubbed his nose. Set his nervous pace for just lying.

Arriving at the front door of the house, Leon sees Nanny Lea his nanny already standing with her hand holding her school bag. In front of the woman stood Uncle Seth who was seen grinning and saying something that made Lea's face flushed.

"Kiss!"

"Uhhhh! Yep!" The surprised Lea immediately looked over. Then she smiled at Leon.

"Come on! We're leaving! Don't let Jessi arrive first!" it was on Seth and Lea.

The bodyguard and driver for Leon and the babysitter followed with a big smile. They had been working for Bernard's family since Leon was a baby, so knew how active Simon's only son was.

After getting into the car, Lea tidied up Leon's tangled hair.

Why tangle again? Nanny had combed it neatly," said Lea while putting her fingers on Leon's head.

"It's okay, Nanny! Leave it! Leon's getting more handsome when tangled!"

Seth and Lea laughed together.

"Little master already has a plan on how to approach Miss Jessi?" Seth asked with his eyes fixed on the front. Drive to Rainbow Kindergarten.

"Yes! Leon will take her along to class!"

"Take him talk!?" ask Lea.

"of course! Mam Ann said Leon should be nice. Can't force you to be friends with Jessi."

Lea nodded her head. "Mam Ann is right."

The car continued to drive, until it arrived in front of the school gate. Seth comes down and opens the door for Lea and Leon.

After descending, Lea crouched down and patted her foster child's plump cheeks.

"Don't be naughty, Okay? Studying hard" said Lea.

"Hu um," said Leon, lip-sniffing and kissing Lea's cheek. Then he turned around and prepared to run while waving at Seth.

When he reached the gate, Leonard stopped, then shouted at Seth.

"Uncle Seth! No need to pick up later! Daddy said he'd pick Leon up with Grandpa Hamilton! We're going to the pier!"

Seth, who waved his hand, shouted back. "REally!?"

"Yes! We're gonna go have fun with grandpa Hamilton!" Leon ran faster. Afraid of being caught if he just lied.

"Accept ...." Seth said slowly, then quickly turned to look at Lea.

"That means we're free until the afternoon, Lea. Mr. Simon and Mr. Hamilton will be busy with little Master until the afternoon."

"So why?" lea asked with a flat face. Pretending not to understand his lover's words.

"Come ... Do we go on a date?" seth asked in a seductive tone.

Lea just sneered, then walked towards the front and opened the car door. Without saying anything he entered and closed the door.

Seth grinned, he walked around the car and immediately got behind the wheel, to then leave the front gate of Leonard's school.

*********

Leon quickly picked up a pencil that fell to the floor. He put it back on Jessi's desk.

"This," he said kindly.

Jessi just looked at him and didn't thank him for the pencil he had dropped. Made Leon breathe out a long breath.

"Mam Ann said, if you have been helped by others, you must thank me."

Jessi was silent.

Jessi still didn't respond.

"You'd rather be alone, would you?" Leon's voice began to grow angry. This morning he was left alone and ignored in the streets near the gate. Jessi ran away, but she greeted him very kindly and took him to class.

Trying to hold back his sense of regret, Leon finally turned around. Take the bag and carry it to the shoulder. Then he heard a very bright and smooth voice. Until he stood up and sharpened his hearing.

"What did you say?" ask her to Jessi.

the little girl bowed, then without raising her face she made a sound.

"Thank you" he repeated.

Leon stared a long time ago, but Jessi did not even raise her face. Then a happy smile was etched on Leonard's lips.

Mam Ann was right, she finally spoke to me.

After cradling his bag, Leon stepped up to follow his friends who also started leaving the classroom.

"Let's go home," she asked Jessi. But the girl was still sitting quietly in the chair.

Leon doesn't want to force. He goes first and says inwardly he will not give up trying again tomorrow - tomorrow, until Jessi wants to walk with him.

Leonard deliberately stood in the schoolyard, leaning against a tree trunk not far from the gate. He hoped no one would pick him up today.

It was deserted and there were only a few more children left. He grinned as he felt his plan had worked this morning.

"Leon?"

Leonard turned his head, finding the teacher mother he had been waiting for finally appeared as well.

"Mam Ann" said the boy. His hands began to lift towards his nose, rubbing his nose several times.

"Not picked up yet?" guess Mam Ann.

Leon nodded.

"You accompanied? Until the invitation arrives?"

Leon shook his head. "Today no one's gonna pick me up."

"Why?"

"Daddy and grandpa go take care of the job first. Uncle Seth and Nanny are on leave."

"So how did Leon get home?"

"Leon waits here alone ... but ...."

"But why?"

"Leon is so hungry" he said, rubbing his stomach.

"Ow .. wait, Mam will call your Daddy first." Anna was grateful she had kept Mr. Bernard's number. After the incident at the police station yesterday, Anna checked the parents' data and saved all the parents' contacts of the students in her class. Including Leonard's father's number.

"Don't, Mam!"

"Huh!? Why?" Anna, who was just about to pull out her phone, stopped and looked in wonder at the little boy in front of her.

"Mam would be very disruptive to Daddy's work. Today Daddy and grandpa have an important meeting. Sangaaaaaattt. Daddy could be poor instantly if he fails today" Leon said with narrowed eyes.

Anna was silent, doubtful and worried.

"Occohhh ... Leon's so hungry! Leon's stomach hurts."

"Leon didn't eat?"

Leon shakes.

Anna thought quickly. It was impossible to bring the little boy to eat in the restaurant, the money had to be saved. After all, he had prepared ingredients to cook when he came home from school. Cooking alone was more frugal for Anna.

After taking a deep breath, Ann reached out and clasped Leon's hand.

"Come on. Let's go to Mam's house first. We cook and eat. Only then did Mom take Leon home."

Leon enthusiastically nodded, following Anna who was holding his hand and walking out the school gate.
