36. Falling in love again

"Ann .. let's get up. You have to eat" said Simon. He brought the table close to which there was already a tray containing bowls of food in the form of porridge for Anna.

Anna frowned as she moved, intending to get up, sit down and lean on the head of the bed, but the pain was slashing in her abdomen.

"Don't move. Here, I help." Simon put the food tray away again. He approached the side of the bed, then lowered his head and lifted Anna's shoulders.

Seeing Anna still frowning, Simon quickly drew up a pillow behind Anna, then lowered back Anna's body slowly.

The door opened wide, and Claude and Catty entered. The two raised their eyebrows to see Simon's position, which looked like he was hugging Mam Ann.

"What are you doing?" ask Claude.

"You're supposed to knock" Simon murmured.

"alright. Excuse me. What are you doing?" reiterate Claude again.

"Helped him sit back. It's time he ate" replied Simon.

Catty approached, seeing Mam Ann frowning and looking uncomfortable with her position.

"Didn't your sitting position feel uncomfortable, Mam Ann?" ask Catty.

Catty did not wait for an answer. Mam Ann's body language has answered. He searched on the edge of the bed and found a remote control to adjust the position of the bed. Catty immediately pressed the remote, raising the middle to the head of the bed so that Mam Ann could lean comfortably in a half-sitting position.

"Ah, thank you, Madam," Anna said in a hoarse voice.

"Call Catty, Mam Ann. We have not yet officially met. But we've been seeing you since you were brought here with Leon." Catty smiled kindly.

Claude looked at what his wife had just done with an amused grin, then he looked at Simon.

"Don't tell me you don't know the function of that thing, Simon," Claude said in a mocking tone. His hand pointed towards the remote Catty was holding.

Simon looked at his brother with glittering eyes, knowing what Claude was thinking. He refused to serve his brother's insinuation, only raising his shoulders while putting on an unconcerned expression.

Catty chuckled at Simon's expression, then she saw a tray of Mam Ann's food.

"Ah, you must eat, Mam. Here, let me help you," Catty bargained enthusiastically.

"Cat, honey .. You messed up this guy's plans. He's gonna help Mam Ann, isn't he?" Claude looked up and down his eyebrows, staring amusedly at Simon. His sister deliberately ignored him, making Claude want to continue baiting him.

Simon snorted, making Claude chuckle and Catalina shake his head.

Anna was grateful when Catty finally brought the pushtable closer to the bed. Anna grabs the spoon and shows a smile that she hopes everyone understands she is strong enough to do on her own. He would be so ashamed to let Simon's family help him continue.

"Thank you, Catty. But I'm pretty strong. It can be alone" said Anna.

"Ah, of course .. both of you .. how about go out first and look for coffee. Mam Ann would have been awkward standing here and watching her eat."

Catty saw a red hue flashed across Anna's face. Claude and Simon saw it too. The two then left and left the room.

Catty sat on the side of the bed, took over the spoon from Anna's hand and smiled widely.

"I hope you don't get along with me, Mom. I used to work as a nurse. You have to limit the activity for a while, there will be times when everything you have to do yourself later. But not yet, let's Mam ...."

Catty scooped the porridge and fed it to Anna. Unable to resist, Anna finally opened her mouth and accepted a bribe from one of the Mommy Leon.

"I can imagine .. an older brother among the little girls who adore him" said Anna. Remember the little gifts he chose with Leon for his cousins.

Catty chuckles. "Your depiction fits Ann very well. Claude and I have two daughters. Alexa is three years old and Benita is now eight months old. My sister Mary also has two. Valencia and Aislin ."

"I've met them" Anna cut, recalling her meeting with Leon's sisters at Mommy Mary's Mansion.

"And Auntie Yoana has one daughter, Joice. So the boy in Bernard's family was just Leon. Ah, in the Lucca family too ... I don't know if Alric wants to add more and lucky to get a boy," joked Catty.

Anna felt Catty's laughter contagious, so she laughed.

Catty looked at Anna's laughing face with sparkling eyes. Anna looked beautiful, especially if her laughter also radiated into her green eyeballs.

Catty smiled. Feed one last spoon of porridge to Anna's mouth. Then bring the glass filled with drinking water closer so Anna can reach it.

I wonder, which Daddy is said to be handsome? Is it Daddy Simon? Thought Catty, laughing amusedly inwardly.

Catty tidied up the cutlery and put it in the corner of the room.

One big smile on Catty's lips. The announcement was made after Leon returned home from the hospital. "How's the Martin family developing? Any updates?" Simon sipped a drink. Claude decided to take his sister to lunch at a restaurant not far from the hospital.

"none. His funeral was held yesterday. According to Alric, they were a little busy hiding the news of Martin's death."

Simon took a deep breath.

"What are your plans after this?" suddenly asked Claude.

"Plan? Meanin?"

Claude shrugged both of his shoulders. "About Anna."

"Anna? What's wrong with Anna?"

"You're not interested in starting to find Mama? To have Leon call you Papa back?"

Simon raised an eyebrow looking at his brother. Recall that since Leon was a baby, he taught his son to call him Papa. Simon felt the need to distinguish himself from Leon's other fathers.

Since Mary was Mommy who gave birth to Leon, Alric taught the boy to call her Dad.

And Claude too. Catty, who had been babysitting Leon since Mary was born, taught the boy to call him Mommy. In fact, the first Mommy Leon knew was Catty, because Mary had left the child when she was born, so it was Catty who took care of her. Automatically after Catty's husband, Claude teaches Leon to call him Daddy.

But as Leon ages, the boy understands that the call to parents is a pair. If he calls Daddy, he's got Mommy. If he had Papa, his friend would ask him which one was his mother. Ever since he understood about it, he changed his own call to Simon.

Simon vividly remembered the reason his son had put forward in front of everyone. Claude chuckles. "That's their story. What about your own story, Simon? You and Leon. Find a wife and a mother for your son."

Claude was stunned to see Simon not snorting or mocking his idea. His sister combed her hair with her fingers, looking up at the ceiling with a serious face, Her sigh sounded long.

"What's wrong? What's problem?" ask Claude.

Simon laughed a little. With a little shame he confessed to Claude.

"You know .. from the beginning I approached him as a man .. but he stayed away .. I changed my approach as a friend, slowly he accepted me ... Leon helped a lot. Little by little I know him. He regarded me and Leon as his best friends, then that night ... Anna opens up and tells her whole life story."

Claude snapped his finger. "It's open to you! It means he trusts you! That's a good thing, isn't it?" asked Claude excitedly.

Simon laughed wryly. "Yes. Pretty good. But the problem is ... her feelings have not changed .. Until now, when I helped her, touched her and did anything for her, Anna just considered me a friend ... but that's just what I mean. Friends, best friends, best friends, Ck!" Simon clucked and rubbed his face.

Claude flicked his lips towards Simon who looked beginning to get frustrated. Feel like you are dealing with someone else. Not his brother who is full of plans, strategies and also his reasoning.

"Like not you .. That's not a problem. You're one step ahead of me and Alric."

Simon frowning. "You mean?"

Claude chuckles. "You've been friends with him. At least you just need to change your approach. Don't ask me how ..your experience is more than enough. Alric and I have to start from zero! Catty hated me when she saw me for the first time. Alric is worse ... Mary cursed!"

Claude's words made Simon laugh loudly. The two brothers laughed so amusedly that they made some people look at them.

After a satisfied laugh, Simon winked at Claude. "You're right. I'm just a little confused" said Simon.

Claude sneering. "Stupid? You're upset Young man .. Would I help you explain what's in your heart?"

Simon snorted, judging that Claude would definitely start dramatizing his words. He stood up, then said goodbye.

"Thank you for lunch. I'm headfirst. You pay, okay."

Simon walked away. Claude laughed, then shouted in a mocking tone.

"You're in love again, boy!" shouted Claude. Deliberately calling Simon with a call that always managed to make him riled up.
