3. Sorry

Anna takes Leon in her arms, meeting the man who turns out to be Leon's real father. He arrived in front of the man, the man's smile had already developed since earlier. Anna was sure the man was laughing at her.

“Mr. Bernard, I'm really sorry."

“It's forgiven, Mother teacher. Sorry ... Mam who if I could know?”

“Oh, I'm Mam Anna. Anna Geraldi, Mr. Bernard.” Anna extended her hand, introducing herself to Leonard's father.

Simon immediately welcomed the hand of the teacher's mother, still with lips full of smiles. A smile that somehow looked very ignorant in Anna's eyes.

“Ah, call me Simon. I'm even grateful Mam Anna, children are very safe school in Rainbow Kindergarten if the teacher's mother is all like you, strong and ready to protect the safety of children,” said Simon.

A red gush appeared on Anna's face. Not at all sure the man's words just now were praise, Anna instead felt the man was deliberately insinuating her.

“But if I may, I'd like to advise. Next time, if you really see a kidnapping, you'd better find a better weapon. Wooden beams, baseball bat or stone .. Your bag punch doesn't hurt at all,” Simon said as he purposely restored his black hair in front of Leon's beautiful mother.

“I'll remember him Mr. Bernard. Although I guess, you should be grateful this time I didn't think of hitting it with a baseball bat. Your head may have been leaking and needs to be sewn. You not only have to deal with the police station, but also with the emergency department,’ ’syndrome Anna with sweet smiling lips.

Anna saw that Mr. Bernard would return his words, but fortunately his drawn hand distracted Anna. He looked down and looked at Leon who was still holding his hand.

“Mam Ann, Mam home with Leon and Daddy only. Don't go home alone.” Leon looked up and looked at his teacher's mother with a hopeful look.

“No need, Leon. Mama can go home by herself. You go home with your father.  Tomorrow Mam wait at school ya.”

Leon puffed both of his cheeks at Anna's refusal. He was getting ready to go back to his father.

“Dad! Anyway we have to drive Mam Ann home!” sulek Leon, asking for help from his father, “otherwise Leon won't talk to Dad.”

Simon raised both eyebrows, then looked at the frowning Anna staring at Leon.

“You heard the threat, Mam Ann. Let me take you home. Leon's right, Mam Ann. It is dangerous to go home alone, you can be kidnapped,” Simon said with an amused smile, reminding the woman of the misunderstanding that occurred earlier.

"Mam Ann can't refuse. Leon won't be home before Daddy takes Mam home!” Threatened Leonard, but with a sweet smile and rounded his blue eyes perfectly, looked very charming and adorable. Simon rolled his eyeballs to see Leon wearing his signature style to ask people for something

another, which will usually be granted because the person is made happy with the handsome and funny face of his son.

Sure enough, Mam Anna immediately crouched down to be the same height as Leonard, then with a smile the woman pinched Leonard's cheek with anxiety. “Alright, this time Mam will comply with your wishes,’’ he said relented.

“Yes! Go Daddy! We're home!” The boy was already about to run out of the police station when Simon confronted him, making Leon's footsteps stop.

“Wait first! Leon must promise one thing first before we go,’’ Simon said with glittering eyes.

“What, Dad?”

“Do not get angry again and do not ask to be delivered to Mommy Mary's place!”

Leon smiled widely, the boy had actually thought about the idea when he was sulking and was found by his father when he came out of the school gate.

“Don't just smile, Leon. Dad's not going anywhere if Leon won't promise.”

Anna stared intently at Mr. Bernard, who she thought was using devious means to defuse her son's anger, but she deserved to be scolded and lectured for promising to come to her son's show, but not keeping that promise.

“Good Dad. Leon is not angry anymore,” said Leon, “ayo go, Dad.”

“Do not cheat Daddy, Leon. Don't just promise not to get angry again. The other one how? ... about Mommy Mary Mansion.’’

“Oh, alright! Leon won't ask to be delivered to Mommy Mary's!” grunt the boy.

Simon chuckles, then catches Leon and holds him. “That's new Daddy's favorite son. Now let's go home.’’

After Leon nodded his head, Simon turned towards Anna.

Anna frowned at the attitude of Leon's father who she thought was too pretentious and her words regarding returning home as if they were going to go home the same way.

They left the police station. Simon sat down next to Bruno who was driving and Leon chose to sit in the back with Anna.

‘’Who are you staying with, Mam Ann?’’ ask Simon

‘’I live alone, Mr. Bernard.’’

‘’Then may I know, how old are you?’’

Only silence answered Simon. Simon looked back and smiled.

‘’I assume you don't want to answer that one question.’’

Anna nodded with a flat face, looking at Simon who was still looking at her.

‘’If you are from? Are you a newcomer to this area or are you born and raised here? We and our family are immigrants, my father and uncle used to see this island is very beautiful as a tourist area. With the beach on one side and the bay on the other, so they tried to come here. Although not stay settled.‘’

Anna remained silent, she was unwilling to start any conversation about her personal life. It was a very taboo thing to talk about with a stranger. On this island he could only trust Mrs. Sanders. Principal of Rainbow Kindergarten. Anna was grateful that Madame Luna, her neighbor, used to be brave

taking the risk of helping him, and then meeting him with Mrs. Sanders, though

Anna became pensive, it had been a few months since she left and things were still safe. Giving hope in Anna's heart, that her life is now completely free. It

he has a job and can continue his life normally without fear.

Since Anna's escape, Mrs. Sanders only once contacted Mrs Luna, trying to figure it out

how is the condition of his best friend, also to treat their fear, the shadow that Madam Luna was injured because it helped Anna. Thank goodness everything is safe.

Mrs Luna said nothing happened, everything was going normally. Good at his house

alone or in the house that used to be Anna's residence. Then Madam Luna ordered Mrs. Sanders and Anna don't call him anymore, Madam Luna is scared because he's so intelligent, life goes on

usually this for Mrs Luna even suspicious, she thought there would be a scene in the neighborhood after Anna's departure. But until now everything is still going as usual. Ms. Luna said she would be fine, and she would contact him if there was anything important.
