72. Pick-up plan

Simon had breakfast with Claude, Catalina and their children. Catty, curious about Simon, wants to know what Leon told his father before going with Mary and Alric last night.

"Did Leon tell you why he's always sad these days?"

"sad? Emm .. no. I think it's because Uncle Hamilton is sick?"

Catalina shook her head. "I don't think that's all. What did he say before he left last night?"

"none. Just saying goodbye, he wants to spend the day with Valencia and Aislin."

"Ck! You are completely insensitive! There's something in Leon's heart. I know that!"

Claude reached out, clasping his wife's hand.

"He'll talk if he wants to, honey. Mary's gonna tell us."

Catty nodded. He glanced at Simon who had stopped bribing, frowning slightly as if he did not understand what the real problem was that his brother was talking about.

The ringing of the cell phone distracts Simon. He immediately checked with his mouth still chewing the food, making Claude give a brief lecture looking at his sister's attitude.

"Whatever news comes will not make you miss if you read it after breakfast, Simon! You should have kept that thing away first! You're meng-"

Claude was silent when he saw his sister raise her hand, code Claude not to make a sound, his face looked serious.

"Who? A man?" ask Simon the guy he's talking to on his cell phone.

"Looks aged?" ask again.

"A follow him from the inn?"

"He's headed for the funeral? That place must be deserted! .. You must not lose track!"

"Yes! Take photos as well as you can. Look ahead if possible!

Catty and Claude looked at each other at the one-way conversation. They don't know who's calling. Simon took a drinking glass, gulped down its contents while turning off the phone.

"Vincent's still in the hospital?" ask Claude.

"Yes. What's up?"

"I'm sorry. I have a need with Vincent. I'll go first!"

"You've received the picture?" simon asked Vincent, who was sitting on the right side of Hamilton's bed.

"Yes .. but Blaird hasn't told me."

"Ck!"

"Patience."

Hamilton opened his eyes, looked at Vincent on his right and then at Simon on his left.

"What's wrong?" ask the old man.

"Ah, no, Uncle. Just a small matter about Anna," Simon replied briefly, not forgetting to smile happily so that the old man would not worry.

"Ck! Uncle needs a break. Don't babble, Vincent!" Simon snorting.

"And he secretly sent people to watch over Anna. To keep Anna safe and she can be calm. However, this morning, he received word that a man had been following Anna since the woman had walked out of the inn."

"Anna's gonna be fine. Your man will take care of her, right?" Simon sneaking. I looked at Vincent. Disagree Vincent recounted the matter when Uncle Hamilton was in need of a break.

"Then ...." Hamilton paused for a moment, looking weak to speak, but still trying to get his words across.

"Why are you still here, boy? Bring my son-in-law here. I can't believe you're slow from Claude and Alric. They're catching Catty and Mary faster than you."

Simon turned his eyes. Vincent broke his mouth shut so that his laughter was slightly muffled.

"Uncle is really okay?"

Hamilton smiled, pointing at the oxygen hose on his nose. "This thing is actually unnecessary. But I'll follow the kind doctors who took care of me."

Simon smiled, holding Hamilton's hand.

"Go away. Bring Ann here. You want to meet her too, right?"

Vincent checked his phone which suddenly rang. After opening a message, he showed it to Simon. A reply from Blaird.

"This. Mr. Mario Barnes. You familiar?"

Simon gritted his teeth.

"That's Anna's foster father ...." Simon squeezes Hamilton's hand. "I can really go?"

Hamilton nodded.

There was another ringing of cell phones, this time Simon's. Alric's name is on there.

"Yes. Alric?"

"Can you come here now?"

Simon smiled broadly. "certain. I'm going there to pick up my son, too. We have a little work."

Simon closed the line, then looked at Hamilton and Vincent.

"Go away. Take Leon too. He must be very happy" Vincent advised.

After nodding and then looking down to kiss Hamilton on the cheek. Simon out of the treatment room. His feet move to the Lucca Mansion, where Leon has just stayed one night. He's going to White Clouds to pick up Anna with Leonard.
