48. Take care of Leon

"If he wants to eat and drink, and then doesn't spit out what he eats, I think he can be cared for at home, Simon. I'll give him some medicine. You can take it and give it to Leon at my recommended dose. Don't forget to give him the solution that I prescribe every time he finishes the toilet. To replace the liquid that has come out."

Simon nodded at the advice of his family doctor who had come to be picked up by Bruno.

"I hope that after this the area will subside" said the doctor as he patted Leon's leg lying on the bed.

"Since returning home, Leon has only been to the bathroom twice, Doctor. Thank you for allowing Leon to be treated at home" Leon said.

"OK, Leon.but that's because your condition can still be treated at home. If it gets worse, I'll still force your father to take you to the hospital."

After Simon and the doctor came out of Leon's room, Anna, who had been sitting quietly in a chair in the corner of the room, got up and approached the bed.

"Did Leon feel better?"

"Yes, Mama Ann. The pain is gone, it just feels a little bad here" Leon said, twisting his palm over his stomach.

"Thank God. You worry only," said Anna as she reached out holding Leon's hand which continued to move on the stomach.

The sound of approaching footsteps made Anna turn her head.

Simon appeared at the door. "Can I ask for your help to take care of her for a while? I'm gonna go get this." Simon showed me a piece of paper in his right hand. Anna knew it was a prescription drug that the doctor who examined Leon had written.

"Of course" said Anna.

"Can you feed him dinner? It's been prepared." Simon pointed outwards, where his family's dining room was.

"Dad ... Can Leon eat in the room?"

Anna has not answered Simon's question. He waited for the man to answer Leon's question.

Simon looked at the risen Anna and stepped closer towards her.

"I'll bring her dinner here."

"My chef and waiter."

"Where are they all?" ask Anna. He looked around, but saw no one.

Anna immediately lifted the tray. "Go away. After eating, Leon should take medicine immediately."

Anna had just finished washing the tableware when she heard Leon's screaming voice calling out to her. He came to the boy's room immediately.

"Can Leon sleep now?"

"But Leon hasn't taken any medicine. Just wait a minute. Your daddy's taking the cure."

"Leon was so sleepy ... Mam ... can Mam stay here tonight?"

"certain. Mum won't be home until your Daddy's here."

"I mean Leon ... Mam stay here, stay tonight. Leon doesn't want to be alone."

Leon looks puffed his cheeks.

Anna got up and left Leon, she met Simon who was just about to come to her son's room.

Leon swallowed a spoonful of medicine that Anna had fed, then went back to lying down again while glancing at his father who was just standing staring at them.

"Can Leon sleep now? Leon's so sleepy."

"Mam promised to stay tonight ...."

After saying that, Leon's eyelids seemed to start to close.

"Leon won't drink this first?" Anna held out a bottle of liquid substitute solution that was also in the medicine bag Simon had brought.

"All right .. just a little bit" said Leon.

After swallowing almost half the bottle, Leon went back to lying down. Seemed to close the eyes.

"Ann .. We haven't had dinner yet. Let's eat first," Simon said.

Anna looked at Leon, the boy's eyelids closed. After pulling the blanket over Leon's chest, Anna stepped toward Simon.

"Come," said Anna.

They went out and left Leon's room door open.

"Can you ask Bruno to take me home?" ask Anna. He followed Simon to the dining room.

"Bruno is home" Simon answered, opening the refrigerator door. "Can you heat this in the microwave that's right there" he pointed out.

Anna frowned, but still picked up something Simon had taken out of the fridge.

"It's just warmed up. I hope enough for our impromptu dinner."

Afterwards Simon started removing some ingredients from the refrigerator and without speaking prepared dinner for two people.

"What time does your chef actually work?" ask Anna.

Twenty-four hours ..he was sleeping in his bed back there, Simon replied, but only in his heart.

"She must have prepared dinner for you every day, right?" ask Anna again.

"of course. But every worker needs a break. He may not always be ready every time right .. Besides dinner time is long past. He was kind enough to prepare everything in the fridge, just keep me warm."

Their conversation stopped as they prepared dinner together. Anna washed her hands and put everything prepared in lightning onto the table. He wanted to go home quickly, his body felt very sticky. He needs to take a shower, change clothes with his loose-fitting clothes, then sleep well until morning.

"It's delicious" Anna praised.

"I guess yes."

"Your chef must be amazing."

"certain. I'm also quite good, can prepare all this," said Simon. Smiling looked at Anna who nodded and returned to bribe food into her mouth.

I can't believe feeding you can be fun.

"Can you take me home after this?"

"Then who's gonna take care of Leon?" ask Simon.

"Isn't there any staff or servants you can ask for help?"

"No. They've all gone home. They also have families to take care of."

Simon saw Anna take a deep breath.

"Then I have to take the bus."

"No more buses to your house at this hour."

"If taxi? Can you?"

"Can you just stay the night? I'd be very grateful if you'd help me look after Leon. I'll drive you home early tomorrow, after Bruno arrives and can take care of Leon."

"But I don't have a change of clothes. I need a shower anyway."

"Shirt change just to sleep, I can work on that. About bathing, there's plenty of water in my house."

Anna laughed at Simon's words.

"Leon also asked me to stay the night, he said you slept like a dead person ...."

"So I really can't go home?"

"Stay overnight. There's nothing you need to fear. I'm not gonna do anything bad. I'm just asking for your help keeping Leon. If you'd like to ...."

"I know you're not gonna do anything bad, Simon. Besides, I'll hit you in the head if you do anything weird again."

Anna laughed as Simon held her head.

"Agreed! I'll give you a baseball bat, to hit me if I act weird. So then? You're staying tonight, aren't you?"

"I have no choice" Anna replied with a smile.
