Five years he had survived alone. Five years after a series of losses for the sake of loss. First, both of his parents died in an accident, his short romance in Singapore, his best friend since childhood can no longer be near him, his older brother and his small family never come back to Indonesia, he said, then the work he had fought for twelve years was forcibly taken from him.

The last thing almost killed him. He lost hope of life. But it wasn't long. One month after losing her job, she had to move to Jakarta to get a new job in the megapolitan city.

He was forced to sell a car left by his parents because he could not drive a car. Maintaining the car even longer for the sake of a memory will only make the car damaged and wasted. His parents' house he rented complete with furniture. One young family was immediately willing to occupy him and agreed with the price he had proposed.

Dexter volunteered to help her pack her personal belongings. But Kirana rejected it subtly. She knew her best friend's intentions were kind and sincere, and she thanked him for that. Their friendship should not have ended this way, but she was helpless. A married man and a single, friendly woman are both considered a disgrace. Vivian had been kind to open her eyes before the public began to insinuate their friendship.

She and Vivian had never talked or talked again since the incident she had accidentally heard their conversation about her. He was never alone. Her husband was always near her. Sweeping it meant greeting Dexter as well, so he chose not to do it at all. He did not want to be called the destroyer of other people's households. When that means he has to avoid Dexter and refuse all his help, it's no big deal.

Only the help of his old co-workers, who were also his good friends, was received with open arms. They helped put the goods into cardboard according to the label, ordered a boxcar that provides services to move house, helped put the boxes into the car to take him to the airport.

Fauzi broke up with his girlfriend and a year later married the woman of his parents' choice. They married only after a month of knowing each other. Kirana accepts her invitation but she cannot attend because of the different cities. After Fauzi officially gets married, Kirana asks her best friend not to text or call her again for any reason except emergency. She doesn't want the incident she had with Dexter to happen again. Before that happened, he decided to take a step earlier.

The head of the finance department of his former workplace gave him a letter of reference. That makes it easier for him to get a new job rather than just relying on his skills and experience. Starting a job as a marketing clerk, two years later he was appointed head of marketing with a salary three times greater than he had received in the same position.

The woman who occupied the position had previously been married and quit her job in order to follow her husband moving to another city. That opportunity was not wasted. He applied to fill the vacancy and managed to beat dozens of rivals, both fellow colleagues and applicants from outside the company.

The thing he called a crazy plan five years ago, it worked. Two months after returning from Singapore, she found herself pregnant. She cried happily realizing that God had not really abandoned her. He had another chance to be happy. She accepted everything she had to face as a pregnant woman with pleasure. Nausea accompanied by vomiting, emotional changes, fatigue, loss of appetite, to difficulty sleeping. He faced it alone until his baby boy was born. He never complained about it.

He did not care how the gaze of the person who saw him came to the hospital alone. She also strengthened herself to focus on the advice and orders of doctors, midwives, and nurses who helped her in the delivery process. After nearly twenty-four hours of pain, her first child was born. A son. As expected, his son had blond hair and blue eyes just like his father. She cried with gratitude when she saw him.

Perhaps he would never have had the mysterious man who had given him a son. But he had evidence that what happened between them was real. Not just his imagination or imagination.

He only filled in the name of the mother on the birth certificate of his son published by the hospital because he did not know the name of his father. When he wrote Romeo's name, he knew his son would be a laughing stock. Until now, he has deliberately not authorized his son's official birth certificate. No one knew, so he could calm down. At least for now.

The presence of their baby makes them unable to forget the experience of three nights a day. He saw the man's face on their son's face. Sometimes she cries in bed whenever she can't help her longing. If every loss he experienced was considered a punishment for his sin in Singapore, then so was the longing he felt for him.

For the past five years he has not stopped expecting someone he cannot find or contact. All of this was due to his ridiculous agreement and his arrogant attitude that rejected the man's business card.

And the assumption is wrong. He thought that the presence of a child would drive away the feeling of loneliness. Apparently not. There was a part of his life, in his heart, that could not be filled by the presence of his son. He needs a friend. Friends that only belong to him. With whom he need not worry about losing their friendship if the man finds his woman. He needs a lover and a friend who belongs only to him.
