Kirana opened the door in front of her, entered the room, then closed it again. He turned around and saw his boss smiling at him. With his hand, Simon pointed to the chair before him. Kirana walked over and sat down on the empty chair.
“I know you've only held a position as head of marketing here for three years. But your experience working in this field has been more than ten years.” Simon smiled brightly making Kirana's stomach churn. “I submitted your name to participate in the selection get the same position that is vacant at the headquarters. Only four people passed the initial selection, including you.”
“Be, really, Sir?” kirana asked in surprise. Being able to be placed in the headquarters was the dream of everyone in their company.
“Iya. The interview is this Friday. No need to worry. I'm sure you can follow the process well. You are smart and know exactly what you are doing. I am counting on you to be the representative of our branch office.” Simon said adding to the burden on Kirana's shoulders. The woman gulped heavily.
“If I pass, what about my position here, Sir?” ask Kirana.
“I'm sure you already have a name or two in your head as your replacement candidate. I believe in your judgment.” said his boss confidently. Kirana smiled.
“Good, Sir. I'm not going to disappoint you.”
Kirana spent the rest of her working hours by checking the results of their marketing activities during that one day. Everything satisfies. They're working on it according to their agreement at last week's evaluation meeting. He gave the results of the examination that had been laced with his signature to his assistant when he exited his office.
On the way home, he listened to William tell him all his activities throughout the day. When she returned to remind her that her mother had not forgotten to buy the gift she wanted on her birthday, Kirana rolled her eyes. His birthday was about three weeks away but he had reminded him many times about the gift.
Arriving home, they headed to their rooms. Kirana takes a shower and wears one of her pajamas. Out of his room, he saw his son playing in his room. He also took a shower and wore his pajamas.
One-by-one groceries from the refrigerator were removed when he was in the kitchen. He made a flour dough and while resting it, he chopped up sausages, tomatoes, and onions for the sprinkles. The pizza dough was ready, she put it in the oven and baked for a few minutes. Then he sliced lettuce, tomatoes, and red cabbage leaves to make a lettuce dish. Their dinner will be ready in a moment. While waiting for the pizza to ripen, he opened a packet of potato chips and poured them into two bowls.
“Mom, you cook pizza?” ask William who went into the kitchen. He approached the oven and looked inside through his glass. “Horeee!!”
“You hungry? This is for you.” Kirana placed a bowl of potato chips in front of one of the chairs. Another bowl, he put it in front of him.
“Thank you, Mom.” William sat in his usual chair.
“There's something I want to tell you.” Kirana drinks the water and then puts the glass back on the table.
“What is it?” ask his son without raising his head.
“I was offered work at the head office. His position is the same as my current job. So, there will be no problems.” he told his son.
“Do we still get a free holiday?” tanyanya polo's. Kirana laughed a little.
“If they don't reward me for my hard work like the office does now, we can pay for our own holiday expenses.” Kirana gently stroked her son's hair. William breathed a sigh of relief.
“You know what the bright side is?” William shook his head. “My office distance will be closer than your school. I don't have to sit on the bus anymore every time I go to my office. Only ten minutes. You like?”
“Means we move house, Mom?” tanyanya wants to know.
“No.” Kirana said as she looked at her son seriously. “But, you have to move to another daycare.”
“Thank you, baby. You are the best!” Kirana hugged him tightly. The boy groaned.
“Will, Mom.” protest William. Kirana rolled her eyeballs.
They ate pizza and lettuce in the viewing room while watching children's movies. William gets more pizza than his mother, but Kirana doesn't mind. He let his son get what he wanted just for the night.
On that Friday, Kirana woke up early. He took the shower as clean as possible. The best work clothes have been prepared just wear it. His face diras as best as possible to give the impression of a professional. His long hair he tied with a clip on the back of his head. Lastly, she wore light brown high heels.
“You are beautiful, Mom.” praise William as soon as he walks into the kitchen.
“Really?” tanyanya happy. Son nodded. Kirana took out two mugs from the upper kitchen cabinet and made a warm drink for the two of them.
“Iya. Mom-ku the most beautiful woman.” said William sincerely. Kirana smiled as she poured the cereal into a bowl following with liquid milk.
“I have to look neat. I want to make a good first impression. Hopefully the interview is not as difficult as many people talk about.” Kirana said expectantly.
“You can definitely, Mom.” said William ceria. Kirana placed two bowls of cereal and milk on the table.
“Yes. I can definitely.” Kirana kisses her son's head. William scoops the bowl to see the contents in the milk.
“Hoorree..! Chocolate cereal for today.!” william cheer pleased. Kirana put two mugs of warm chocolate on the table.
“Come, eat. We must not be late to your school.” he said as he sat by his son's side.
Twenty minutes later they had arrived at William's school. Her son hugged her while patting her on the back. Kirana smiled.
“Hopefully succeeded, Mom.” William waved his hand and ran into his class.
“Thank you, Will.” Kirana said with a smile.
When the taxi he was riding reached the headquarters, he breathed a sigh of relief. He's not late. His eyes were slightly rounded when he saw that twenty-story building. He had seen the building. Yet he wondered, could it be that he would get the job and work in this office? He can only hope and give the best appearance and answer during the interview later.
He entered through the main entrance and approached the reception desk. One of the women behind the desk smiled at her arrival.
“Sorry, I came to take an interview today.” Kirana told the woman.
“Please wait a minute, Mom. Later my partner will take Mom upstairs. Mom can sit on one of the sofas over there.” said the woman kindly. Kirana looked in the direction the woman pointed to and looked at the sofa in question.
“Thank you.” said Kirana friendly.
There were three people sitting there. One of them is a man. They were dressed so neatly, just like Kirana. The two women were well-fed and both were beautiful. The three of them were busy staring at their respective tablets. They may be re-learning their vision of the company's mission. Kirana sat on one of the empty sofas. None of them raised their heads and looked at him.
