Chapter 102's

"Evocate the child in Rin's womb."

Sesshoumaru's words made Kagome, Jinenji and Inukimi silent. They could only stare at the back of the inuyoukai lord of the western lands who stood staring out the window in his study.

"Did Rin-chan know?" ask Kagome quietly then. There was sadness on his face hearing Sesshoumaru's decision.

"Rin doesn't know–and don't tell him," Sesshoumaru ordered. His voice remained emotionless as usual. "Rin will not abort the child even if he knows the circumstances. So make the child disappear as naturally as possible.."

Kagome fell silent again at Sesshoumar's words, or rather did not know what to say anymore. Sesshoumaru's decision, he knew, was the best one. But– sacrificed their son. He could not imagine how painful it was.

Kagome is also a mother. Back when she was pregnant with Shiro, when her content could not be predicted, all she had in mind was the safety of the child in her womb. A mother will be more concerned with her child than herself.

The shadow of Rin sitting around stroked her stomach affectionately with a smile reflected in Kagome's head, making her feel her heart ached and want to cry.

Rin's situation is different from the situation he was in. Early Kagome pregnant Shiro, he was very healthy, his health only deteriorated when the age of the womb stepped four months. He survives and thanks to Inukimi's help, Shiro is born safe, and so is he.

But for Rin, she is getting weaker and weaker by the time she is about two months old. Hanyou's pregnancy is so heavy, her body will not be able to survive, and even if she can survive, the process of giving birth will be impossible–there is only one survivor with the worst possibility of mother-child not surviving.

No one dares to face the risks and play with Rin's life. Therefore, as long as the womb has not grown, they must abort the child– before it is too late.

Staring at Sesshoumaru again, Kagome stared at the back that stood firmly in front of her. Does Sesshoumaru not want a child in Rin's stomach?–miko the future knows; inuyoukai it wants his child, even though the child is a hanyou.

Sesshoumaru's gentle gaze as he stared at Rin's stomach, as well as the hand that gently stroked her–that's all what Inuyasha always did to Shiro while still in the womb; Sesshoumaru loved their child.

For Rin who loves her son so much, for Sesshoumaru who loves Rin and their child– why this is all so painful.

"All right." Inukimi's voice from earlier was silent then sounded. The face of the former ruler of the western lands was flat, but the sadness in his eyes was obvious. "I'll prepare the potion to abort it.."

Inukimi did not say anything more after that, nor did she wait for Sesshoumaru's reaction. Turning her body, she walked away.

Jinenji also did not say anything, he bowed in salute to Sesshoumaru and walked out. He felt very sad and guilty now, he felt himself failing. He is a hanyou who was asked to look after Rin a long time ago, however, he cannot do anything.

Kagome who was left behind then took a deep breath. Not saying anything more, he then walked out leaving Sesshoumaru's study.

Inuyasha was the first person Kagome saw as she set her foot out of Sesshoumaru's study. The Huanyou stood looking at him with his expressionless flat face.

Closing her eyes, and unable to hold back her tears, Kagome then ran over and hugged Inuyasha tightly. She didn't say anything, but her tears explained everything.

Inuyasha returned Kagome's embrace tightly. He had already heard everything with his keen sense of hearing–Sesshoumaru's decision.

Looking at the tightly shut shoji door of the study, Inuyasha did not know what to behave like if he met Sesshoumaru now. He did not like his half-brother for a long time, but–dia also did not want his half-brother to be in this situation.

Between wife and child, that's a cruel choice. If he was asked to choose between Kagome and Shiro–Inuyasha would go crazy. Nothing is right from the choices.

In his study, Sesshoumaru remained standing upright motionless with an expressionless face. Staring out the window, slowly, he then closed his eyes.

Sesshoumaru had rounded up his decision. The choice was Rin. He won't change it again.

Do you think our son is a boy or a girl, Sesshoumaru-sama?

Soft voice, sincere smile, loving hand elusan–Rin who has become a mother. She is so beautiful, so tender and loving–the most perfect mom in the world. But, she would destroy it and frown on the chance to become a mother of the woman she loved most..

"We will reach the youkai village of the snow butterfly clan soon," Shippo said as he looked back at the two white mouse youkai. "You two are okay, Yuki, Sora?"

"We're fine, Shippo-kun," replied Yuki who is the older brother. He then looked at his sister Sora and smiled. "We will soon arrive at Kaname village, Sora."

Sora nodded his head, a smile also immediately filled his face. Kaname is their cousin who became part of the snow butterfly clan through a marriage bond. The two of them were only able to find their cousin to seek protection after everything in their village died.

The snow butterfly youkai clan was also just like the white rat youkai clan, they were a small youkai clan from neutral territory that loved peace and hiding themselves. Even if it made a difference, it might be said that the snow butterfly youkai clan was slightly larger than the white rat youkai clan that had been destroyed.

"Good then." smile Shippo. Seeing Yuki and Sora who had now become orphans, Shippo inevitably remembered himself first, which was why he could not ignore them. This little fox Youkai, decided to escort the two little youkai from the white rat clan to their remaining relatives.

"Thank you, Shippo-kun," Yuki said again as she smiled sincerely. "The two of us can't do anything without you. Thank you." Thank you."

Yuki's thanks made Shippo blush in embarrassment. Looking back at the face, he laughed and raised his head up. "This is absolutely nothing, no need to thank me–oh!! The smoke!! We're going to be here!!"

Shipo's eyes could see black smoke above the sky in front of them. The smoke must have come from the village of the snow butterfly clan which was their destination. Lowering his head, he looked at Yuki and Sora. "Come!!"

Yuki and Sora could also see the black smoke. An extremely wide smile immediately filled their faces. Replying to Shippo's gaze they laughed. "Yes, come on, Shippo-kun!!"

Not wasting any time, they immediately ran towards the smoke they saw. Seeing the happiness on Yuki and Sora's faces, Shippo felt joyful and satisfied with himself now. He was no longer a weak youkai who needed to be protected, he was an adult and could protect others.

However, the closer they got to the smoke they saw, Shippo began to feel an oddity. Above the sky, the black smoke he saw was not just one, but there were many.

Stopping his footsteps, Shippo immediately turned his back on Yuki and Sora who also stopped looking at him.

"What's up, Shippo-kun?" sora asked, her two red eyes staring at Shippo full of question marks.

"There's something strange" Shippo replied quickly. "The amount of black smoke in the village of the snow butterfly clan is abnormal, we must be careful."

Yuki immediately realized Shippo's intent, fear immediately filled his heart. Only Sora was still confused and did not understand.

"Come, let's check it out first." Said Shippo again slowly.

Yuki immediately nodded his head approving of Shippo's words without saying a word. Clasping her sister's hand tightly, the white mouse youkai told Sora to shut up.

The three of them walked carefully without making any sound. However, the closer, the more fear filled their hearts. They could hear clearly now, the sound of guns clashing, the sound of something broken, the sound of screaming and– the sound of crying.

Hiding behind the bushes while holding their breath as they reached the village of the snow butterfly clan, all they saw was a slaughter–.

The youkai village of the usually peaceful snow butterfly clan has now been destroyed and is full of chaos. Red blood was everywhere, houses were burning, the villagers of the youkai clan were lifeless snow butterflies, no matter how small children or old people were lying everywhere.

Some of the laughing human soldiers brandishing their swords or spears killed the surviving villagers and tried to escape.

"Those humans are the ones who destroyed our village.." Yuki's trembling voice rang out making Shippo immediately turn his face to the side on the white mouse youkai.

Yuki's face was now deathly pale with tears constantly flowing. He hugged tightly and closed Sora's eyes which were shaking violently in his arms. "Those who killed our clan.."

Shippo's eyes were wide. Looking back to the front, he saw the human soldiers who destroyed the village. He could clearly see the flags carried by the human soldiers; it was the flags of the Mio, Hino, Sato and Yumi nobles of the human world.

However, the more Shippo saw, something was aware of him. There was something strange about those human soldiers. He had wandered for a long time, and also, his experience in the past few years with Inuyasha and the others to destroy Naraku was enough to make him aware.

"They're not human, they're youkai disguised as human beings.."

In the bedroom of the ruler of the western lands, Rin now sits on a futon with Sesshoumaru beside him. Not far from the two of them, sat Kagome, Inuyasha, Miroku and Sango who were silent in silence.

"Yes, my daughter," Inukimi replied with a small smile. "It's your medicine.."

Other than Rin who knew nothing, everything in the room knew, what medicine was really in Inukimi's hands. But, they were silent.

Approaching Rin, Inukimi then sits next to the human woman. Both of his eyes looked gently at the human woman who was his adopted daughter as well as his daughter-in-law affectionately. The face of the western earth kisaki is still very pale, fatigue is clearly visible–he is still very weak.

"Rin will soon be healed, Mother," Rin smiled gently. He knew, the former lord of the western lands in front of him was very worried about his condition. "So, don't worry."

Inukimi nodded her head and said nothing more.

Slowly, Rin raised both hands and took out a bowl of black liquid from Inukimi. The extremely strong smell of the medicine was smelled, and the western earth's kisaki knew, this medicine must be very bitter.

No one said a word or stopped Rin from seeing her lift the bowl. Their hands were all clenched tightly, and closed their eyes. Only Inukimi and Sesshoumaru were still staring at Rin with flat expressions, even though their eyes betrayed them; pain.

Opening his mouth, what Rin's tongue felt was bitter. However, along with the bitter taste present, within his head, he could hear a clear, strange voice that was not unfamiliar to him.

'My beloved Rinn, don't.'

Instantly Rin seemed to wake up, the bowl in her hand fell down and shocked everyone. The black medicine was spilled, its entire contents falling onto the white blanket that covered the human woman's legs.

"Rin.."

"Little rin.."

Sesshoumaru and Inukimi called Rin slowly. Surprised and bewildered filled their hearts as they saw the tiny body of the great beast with its head bowed down.

Inuyasha, Kagome, Sango and Miroku also immediately opened their eyes and looked at Rin who was acting strangely. Confusion filled their hearts.

"K-why.." murmured Rin quietly. His voice was shaking violently. "Why did Sesshoumaru-sama and Mother want to kill Rin's child?"

Everyone's eyes were wide in disbelief hearing Rin's question. What the hell's going on? How could he know?

Raising his head slowly, Rin's deathly pale face filled with fear looked at Sesshoumaru. His two brown eyes were now filled with tears flowing down. "Why..."

The fear on Rin's pale face and her intense shaking uncontrollably made everyone's fear even greater.

"Ri." Call Sesshoumaru slowly. He raised his hands both intending to hug and calm the human woman.

However, Rin brushed off that hand. Frightened, with his weak and trembling body, he dragged his body backwards dodging.

"Rin-chan!!"

"Rin!!"

Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku and Sango immediately stood up. Kagome and Sango immediately moved forward. However, Rin's screaming voice stopped them.

"Don't come near!! Don't come any closer!!!"

Staring at everything in fear, Rin hugged her stomach tightly. His body did not stop trembling with tears that did not stop. All of these are loved ones and family to her, but–why would they want to harm her child?

Rin's appearance now makes no one know what to do. They had never seen this human woman fear like this all along.

"Don't come any closer." repeated Rin again. Slowly, his gaze fell on the figure of Sesshoumaru who was standing looking at him with an indescribable facial expression. Sad, guilty, scared, desperate–all merge into one. "Why? Why Sesshoumaru-sama?"

Did Sesshoumaru not want this child anymore? Does that inuyoukai not want to be a father of a hanyou anymore?–what because of that he wants to eliminate their child?

Closing his eyes, the ruler of the western lands took a breath. Rin's question hurts Sesshoumaru a lot. Why?–dia can't keep it a secret from Rin anymore.

Opening his eyes, with a flat face without expression, Sesshoumaru looked at Rin. "If he lives, you'll die, Rin. Your weak body will not be able to give birth to it."

"T-no... No.." murmured Rin slowly. However, his murmur immediately turned into a loud cry of disbelief. "No!!!"

He moved his body and knelt before Sesshoumaru. Rin hugged her stomach tightly again, as if to protect her. The fear on his face was not explained anymore, with tears constantly falling down, he begged. "Rin and Rin's son will be nothing. Rin will be strong enough to give birth to her!! Rin please! Not this kid! Don't kill Rin's son!!"

Sesshoumaru did not move to look at Rin. Clenching his hands tightly until it bled, he clenched his teeth firmly and turned his face away.

Rin had never cried like this, and since childhood she had never knelt down to beg in fear. But, now he pleads fervently with tears–all of them; for the life of their son who is in his womb.

How much Sesshoumaru hated this useless self right now. In the past, when he decided to propose to Rin and make her kisaki the land of the west, he swore to himself, that he would always paint a smile and laughter of happiness on the only woman he loved until the end of his life. He wants happiness in his life.

However, today, he was unable to keep that oath. He self-destructs the oath he wishes to keep. She can't keep that smile and laughter always, she turns it into a face full of tears and sadness–destroys the happiness that exists.

Staring at Inukimi, with a face still very chaotic, Rin forced a smile. "Mother, Rin please, I-let's say to Sesshoumaru-sama, Rin and Rin's son will be safe. Rin will be able to give birth to our child safely.."

Inukimi closed her eyes at Rin's plea, she could no longer see the human woman's face. The pain he felt in his heart was incredible.

Seeing Inukimi unwilling to help her, Rin turns her face to Kagome. He laughed with a trembling voice. "K-kagome-sama, Rin please, tell Sesshoumaru-sama. A-the children of Rin and Rin will be fine!!"

Kagome did not move, nor did she say anything. Hearing Rin's plea, seeing her face, the future miko couldn't hold back her tears anymore. Sitting down, she cried. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Rin-chan.."

Inuyasha, Miroku and Sango did not move. They all threw their faces away, really, they could no longer look at Rin's expression now. In front of them was a mother. The loving and desperate mother tries to preserve the life of the child in her womb, and they–they are the ones who want to take the child away from her. How could they look at his face?

Realize no one will be on his side. Rin again dragged and crawled his body towards Sesshoumaru. Interestingly, the tip of the inuyoukai kimono, he raised his face upwards. Tears, he again forced a smile. "S-sesshoumaru-sama, Rin begs you, let Rin give birth to our child. Rin will keep Rin's promise, Rin and our son will go nowhere. We will always be with you!!"

Rin's endless plea, fear and tears. Sesshoumaru immediately knelt down and tightly hugged the tiny, violently shaking body. "This shoumaru can't lose you, Rin."

Sesshoumaru's reply made Rin immediately push the inuyoukai until the hug came off. Not caring about everything, and although his body was still very weak, he immediately stood up. Gathering all his energy, he suddenly stepped–running towards the park through the open veranda of the room.

"Rin!!"

"Rin-chan!!"

Rin did not care about the voice calling her name out loud. He ran as fast as he could with both hands hugging his stomach. His son, his treasure, his most precious–he must protect him.

It's okay, it's okay though the whole world won't let her give birth to him. Rin will still give birth to him–Rin will protect him.

'Your son, I will protect him for you, my beloved Rinku.'

Meido the red seki beating on Rin's chest shone again and revealed his true strength. All existing elements appear and join–become the strongest fortune to protect a human woman and her child.
