Chapter 16's

Shiro sat staring intently at the scene that was in front of him. She felt very upset, angry and jealous at the same time, because, Shura who was sitting in front of her was hugging Sakura tightly in her lap. The gaze of the inuyoukai eyes was also no less sharp than the look of his eyes. The golden eyes in front of her seemed to tell her that Sakura, her beloved sister was hers.

Shiro is eager to pull away their closeness and keep his little sister as far away as possible. However, the problem was that Sakura who was in Shura's arms did not show the slightest objection. Sakura did not understand why the inuyoukai kept hugging and did not want to let go of her, but, she did not hate him, in fact she really liked the warmth of Shura who enveloped her now. He laughed with excitement while talking to Shura, even though the person was silent.

"For two dogs who are seizing a piece of bone—ah, no! These are two dogs that are seizing a piece of bone." Said Mamoru who from earlier saw a match of eye gazes between Shura and Shiro suddenly.

"What do you mean, Mamoru?" asked Shiro annoyed. "You think, because of whom can all this happen?"

"Truely said Shiro, Mamoru. Even if Sakura's found out, you should feel guilty about what you've done." Add Aya who is also there while staring at Mamoru, as well as Maya.

Mamoru only laughed with nervousness at the sharp gazes of her two Sisters. "Ahahaha, it's Brother, everyone, it's over.."

"Yes. Everything has indeed passed, but, your mistake in our eyes is still not over." Maya reply sharp.

"Sir Ma—" Mamoru protested, but his remark soon came to a halt when the shoji door of their room was open. Shiro, Mamoru, Aya and Maya immediately stand by when they see who enters, namely youkai the Southern Land Ruler, Akihiko.

Akihiko smiled grinningly at the reaction of Shiro and the others. Inevitably, looking at their attitude, he could only go back to thinking how similar they all were to their parents, especially Shiro. Hanyou was really like his father. Akihiko then turned his face to look at Shura who was completely indifferent to her presence, and he chuckled as he watched the inuyoukai tightly hug Sakura who was now looking at him in confusion. In the eyes of that Southern Land Ruler, Shura's attitude now really looked like a dog who was guarding tightly a piece of bone she had.

Not caring for all who were now staring at him, Akihiko walked over and sat down on the tatami beside Shura. His sky blue eyes looked at Shiro and the others. "Why are you all on my land?" tanyakanya.

Shiro and Mamoru were silent, as were Aya and Maya. They didn't say anything. They knew clearly who was in front of them now. Even though they were young back then, the memory of the savagery and madness that the youkai had displayed in front of them was still vivid.

Being able to sense what was being felt by hanyou and the humans in front of him, Akihiko smiled with a grin. In fact, he didn't need an answer from them at all, because, he already knew what was the cause of them being in the south, why their parents let them be here unattended, "It turned out that the war between the west and north was indeed unpredictable this time. Shiro and the others' vigilance increased when they heard what Akihiko said. They could not believe the youkai that was in front of them. "really?" sakura asked again not believing Shura's answer. Both of his hands immediately raised touching both of Shura's cheeks.

Akihiko did not care about the commotion between inuyoukai and hanyou beside him, although honestly, he admitted that the scene beside him was a very funny sight and never crossed his mind would happen. Who would have thought that Shura had this kind of nature in her? He turned his head to look at Mamoru, Aya and also Maya who had been silent without saying a word. "Stay in this palace as long as you wish, but I do not guarantee your safety.."

"What do you want?" shiro asked irritatedly as he stared intently at Akihiko who was in front of him. He who was called to face the Southern Landlord with Mamoru, Aya and Maya did not show the slightest fear, because his mind was now full of Sakura, his beloved sister who was with Shura. He had no idea what the perverted dog might do to his innocent and ignorant sister.

Akihiko looked at Shiro with great interest. He was wondering in his heart whether all the boys of the inuyoukai lineage were always similar to their father. Shura, no doubt very similar to Sesshoumaru, as well as Shiro. The appearance, brash attitude, fearless of anything and also reckless that he has, is really a reflection of his father who is the strongest hanyou in Japan.

"Shiro, keep your attitude." Maya's words appease Shiro.

"Yes, right said Aya, Shiro. Calm down." Add Aya while patting Shiro on the shoulder. Mamoru did not say anything, however, her eyes that were staring at Shiro clearly said the same thing.

"What do you want to talk about, Akihiko-sama?" asked Mamoru calmly.

"I just want to commemorate you guys for one thing," Akihiko replied as she stared at Hanyou and the three humans in front of her. His interested eyes now turned serious, as well as his voice that had turned heavy with intimidation. "Don't you dare to bring up 'Rin' in front of Shura. I will not tolerate it. I'll kill you all if you dare to do that."

Fear instantly enveloped Shiro and the others. They could feel how serious Akihiko was about his words just now. However, other than being scared, they also felt extremely shocked. Shocked at the name that the southern Landlord had just mentioned, for how long had they not heard the name mentioned.

Rin's.

A simple name they always remember. The girl they knew as a child and could not forget, because of her beauty, kindness, innocence, warmth, constancy, courage, loyalty, happiness, suffering and even the miracle she had.

"Leave my room." Shura's orders were cold.

"Leave your room? Just yummy! Let go of my sister first!" shiro shouted back at Shura's command who was still tightly hugging Sakura.

"Ah, I don't know, who will indeed in the end of this relentless struggle." Mamoru said softly while sighing at Shura and Shiro's attitude which he thought was very childish.

"Silent. Help us prepare the futon." Aya's orders were calm as well as Maya's, she just nodded her head while preparing their futon in Shura's room.

"Yes, yeah. I understand Brother Aya, Sister Maya." Reply Mamoru while sighing again and starting to help her two brothers.

Shiro and the others decided to spend the night in Shura's room. They knew they could not separate and be in different rooms through the night in this palace, for anything could happen to them in this youkai lair. However, the real reason Shura's room was the one they chose was because of Shura who was still unwilling to let go of Sakura. That Inuyoukai was really very possessive towards that little hanyou.

"Get out of my room." Shura ordered again while raising her tone. Regret filled him. He did not like his privacy being violated, there was no way he would let a new person sleep in his room.

"Good! But, let go of my sister first, pervert dog!" reply Shiro again.

"Sister Shiro, Brother Shura, don't fight, will you?" pinta Sakura who was in Shura's arms suddenly. Both of his big golden eyes had now glazed over as they held back tears. Hanyou did not understand why the two people he loved so much were always fighting every time they met.

"Sakura, don't cry! Yes, yes, Brother will not fight with Shura anymore." Persuade Shiro quickly when he sees his sister's pair of teary eyes. The thing she hated the most in the world was Sakura's tears.

Sakura then raised her face looking at Shura. The face of the inuyoukai remained expressionless, but not with those blood red eyes that had turned back into gold, there was a dislike in them now, "Sir Shura, don't fight with Shiro's sister, huh? S-Sakura doesn't like you guys fighting.." said the mouth sobbing. Tears flowed down her cheeks.

"Sakura! No crying! No crying! Brother please, stop your tears!" pinta Shiro was full of panic.

Shura who stared at Sakura's tears furrowed both of her eyebrows. He doesn't like the tears in front of him right now. She preferred it with laughter and a smile on that pretty face. Slowly, Shura then raised her hand wiping away those tears and nodded her head slowly.

A wide smile immediately flashed across Sakura's face seeing the answer she had managed to get. Both of his big eyes immediately sparkled. The excitement emanated very clearly, and it all made Shura feel how beautiful and adorable little hanyou was in her arms.

"Thank you, Brother Shura," Sakura laughed as she looked straight at Shura. "And, Brother allowed Sakura, Shiro Brother, Mamoru sister, Aya Brother and Maya sister to sleep in Brother's room, right? We slept a lot, huh?"

Sakura's question made Shiro and the three brothers there look at Shura. While the inuyoukai itself was instantly stunned. He wanted to reject the request, however, seeing the expectant expression and laughter in front of him, he did not manage to find a voice to reject it. He did not want disappointment and tears filled that face again. Slowly, Shura then nodded her head.

"Thank you, Brother Shura!" sakura shouted happily and hugged Shura tightly, burying her head on the chest of the inuyoukai field. As well as Shura, she further tightened her embrace.

"Sakura! Don't hug that lecherous dog! Let go of your arms, pervert dog!" shiro shouted furiously and tried to pull his sister off.

"It turns out that the one who can face Shiro and Shura right now is indeed just a Sakura-chan. The power of his innocence and naivety was indeed very great." Said Mamoru while nodding his head. Her two brothers did not say anything, but, they also nodded their heads in agreement to what their sister said.

After going through several fights and struggles will be Sakura. They all finally decided to go to sleep. Shura who was lying on Sakura's right side hugged the little hanyou tightly, while Shiro who was on the left side stared intently at the inuyoukai. The oil lamp in the room had indeed been turned off, but to the inuyoukai, hanyou and also the three taijiya who were there, the darkness was completely meaningless. They were all still able to see clearly around them without any problems.

Sakura who was in Shura's arms suddenly opened her eyes looking at Shiro who was beside her, "Sister Shiro, Big Brother can sing the lullaby that I used to sing for Sakura?" request slowly.

Sakura's request made Shiro smile with a grin staring at Shura who was blindfolded. He knew, the inuyoukai was still not sleeping. Sakura's request now cannot be granted Shura, because she is the only one who can sing the lullaby that their mother always sings. No matter how Shura tries to claim Sakura, Sakura is her sister. He knows Sakura better than Shura. Not wasting any more time, Shiro immediately opened his mouth and sang the lullaby their mother used to sing.

The song Shiro sang made Shura instantly open her eyes. He did not understand what song hanyou was singing, and also, never had he heard such a strange foreign language. However, that is not the problem, the problem is the voice Shiro-sound discordant and tone-blind.

"Sister!" call Sakura to suddenly stop Shiro, "Thank you. Don't sing anymore."

"Eh, why?" tanya Shiro was confused.

"It's okay, Brother Shiro. Thank you." Thank you." Reply Sakura. He really misses his mother. He thought that if he heard that lullaby, the longing in his heart could be a little treated. But, it turns out he was wrong. The song Shiro sang could not treat his longing, which could only make his ears hurt.

Mamoru, Aya and Maya who were beside Shiro breathed a sigh of relief. They did not dare to imagine how their headaches would be if Sakura did not stop Shiro. Hanyou has no talent for singing.

Sakura then turned her head to look at Shura. "Sister Shura, can you sing me a lullaby?"

Shiro's eyes were wide and his mouth was ringing. He did not believe what Sakura said. His sister now turned out to really prefer that inuyoukai than him. As for Shura, she was stunned.

"Sir Shura can sing the song that Kak Shura always hears before sleeping on Sakura?" ask Sakura again.

During this time, no one had ever sung a lullaby to her, no matter it was the nannies, the maids or Akiko. In his memory, there was no tid-no introductory song! There are! There is a song that he always hears before going to bed first. Songs that even today are sometimes heard in his dreams are very pleasant. Yep! Sakura was very stunned to hear Shura's singing voice. His voice was so sweet and loud. Very lovely. As for Shiro, Mamoru, Aya and Maya, they instantly rose from the futon and stared at the inuyoukai with wide eyes. Astounded. They were very surprised by the lullaby Shura sang, because they never thought they would hear the song again.

As Shura finished the song she was singing, Sakura immediately clapped her hands, "Kak Shura! That's grand! How lovely!" praise Sakura full of confusion.

Shura did not return Sakura's praise, she just stared at the little hanyou with her poor face expression. However, Shiro who was beside them suddenly opened his mouth and spied out a question stammeringly. "W-where did you learn that song?"

Shura raised her face looking at Shiro. He could see the shock on Hanyou's face as well as the three taijiya brothers who were not far from them. Not caring for their expressions, he opened his mouth answering the question, "From my dreams. From within the memories of my forgotten past."
