Till The End Of Time [Inuyasha Fanfiction ]
Chapter 61's

In the darkness of the forest winter night beside the human village, Tsubasa stood still. Both of his eyes looked at the figure of Akihiko the ruler of the southern land in front of him. The wolf youkai was holding his head staring at the sky without a star on it.

"Is there anything you want to tell me, Tsubasa?" akihiko's flat voice suddenly broke the silence.

Tsubasa immediately knelt down with her face down. "That is he who let Yukimura from the east be in the palace of the land of the south."

Tsubasa's voice remained calm and flat without emotion. He knew he had done something taboo, leaving Yukimura in the southern palace despite knowing the youkai were after the hime lives of the west. Therefore, he was willing to accept all the consequences.

"Oh??" akihiko Guman slowly. He did not lower his head, as if Tsubasa's confession was not a problem. "You're the traitor?"

Tsubasa felt an incredible pressure. He knew, Akihiko already knew of his involvement with the east. Leaving the human village and entering this forest, was none other than to hear his confession.

"Your reaction looked strange the moment you saw Yukimura, I thought what your relationship was." Akihiko laughed softly.

"The servant will take punishment from you." Tsubasa did not raise her face, she remained downcast.

Akihiko laughed, slowly walking towards Tsubasa. Squatting down, his right hand suddenly strangled the neck of his beloved concubine was strong. "Do you know the consequences of your actions."

Tsubasa looked straight at Akihiko. His face paled, the supply of air to his lungs halted, but he did not rebel in the slightest. Stammering, he replied. "Dead.."

Tsubasa's eyes looked at Akihiko, pain enveloping her heart. Why did he help Yukimura, he had to admit, he was jealous of that human girl. Hundreds of years passed, from a bird to a youkai, he had always loved this youkai, but his love was only a one-sided love.

A small, white canary lay on the ground, its wings and body badly injured by the attack of an eagle after it. His white feathers had been flushed with blood. The wounds he had sustained had rendered him unable to move, while the eagle that was eating him flew closer and closer.

The white canary could only stare straight as the two eagle claws pointed at him. Suddenly, however, a sword shot out and pierced the eagle's body.

The huge body of the eagle fell onto the ground right in front of the small walnut that could not move, without life.

"Oohs? You still alive?" the quiet voice of a boy was heard.

From in front of the little walnut, a small youkai walked over. Short white hair with a pair of clear sky blue eyes. Two pairs of deep blue lines on the cheeks adorned his handsome face, and a single smile dodged on his thin lips.

Just one look, the little white walnut knew, the little youkai in front of him was a powerful youkai. Although he was just an ordinary bird, he could clearly sense the danger from that youkai.

The youkai bowed and raised the little walnut with his right hand. His blue eyes closely watched the helpless creature. "You were strong enough, when I thought you were dead when the eagle grabbed you and hurt you. I didn't think you'd peck her eyes when she was gonna eat you."

The canary did not move, he just stared straight at the small youkai who continued to speak.

"I love powerful creatures." That little youkai laugh. His voice echoed across the desolate forest they were in.

Take out a small bottle from behind her kimono with her left hand. The little youkai then opened and poured some liquid on the canary wound.

Instantly, the wound on the canary was healed without a trace. The bird immediately got up and flapped its wings several times as if it did not believe its wound was healing

"Be the strongest of all birds." That little youkai laugh. Shaking his hands, he threw down on the small canary that immediately flew away.

Reversing the body, the small youkai figure then walked forward as if nothing had happened.

Flying high, the Canary spun on the spot, its eyes staring straight at the little youkai until it disappeared from sight.

The weak white canary never forgot the little youkai that saved his life. From then on, he always thought about it.—thinking to always be by his side. And slowly, he turned into a youkai.

Training and training himself, the white canary grew stronger and stronger, until finally when he was already the strongest youkai bird in the southern lands, he said, he appears before a small youkai who saves his life a small—youkai who has grown up and then becomes the ruler of the southern land; Akihiko.

Tsubasa closed her eyes. How many hundred years have passed since their first meeting?—Tsubasa itself never counted them. But reality never changes, she becomes a youkai because of Akihiko. For being grateful, because of indebtedness, which later became; love.

Youkai are beings who do not know love, that is what everyone says. But, Tsubasa knows, she is different from the youkai in general, she is a youkai who exists out of love; her love for Akihikolah makes her a youkai. Akihiko is everything to him. It was fine if the ruler of the southern land did not return his love, for he knew, the wolf youkai was a cold and cruel youkai.

Therefore, how could he accept the sudden appearance of a human girl easily snatch the youkai's attention? Make those blue eyes shine warmly because of a smile.

Tsubasa never intended to betray Akihiko's trust in him, but indirectly. The jealousy in his heart had made him do it. But a traitor is still a traitor. She would be even more grateful if she died, she did not dare to imagine what she would be like if Akihiko threw her away.

Akihiko then releases the hand that strangles Tsubasa's neck. Her silence and self-surrender attitude made her laugh cynically. "I want to kill you, but this will waste Rin's sacrifice that has brought you to life."

Tsubasa opened her eyes and looked at Akihiko in silence. Akihiko's attitude now made his heart even more sick. The name of the human girl again, since when did the girl become so important to this southern land lord youkai?—she even wanted to let a traitor live for it.

Turning around, Akihiko then walked away. "You betrayed me once again, Tsubasa. I'll make sure you're wiped out without telling anything in the world."

Akihiko's voice was so flat and cold, that Tsubasa could only endure the excruciating pain. But, he can't do anything. Right now, he could only be grateful, this youkai lord of the southern land did not throw it away.

"Hamba understands."

"Do you still want to add your rice, Rin-chan?" ask Kagome. A smile graced her face as she watched Rin devour her morning breakfast voraciously.

Rin sits on her futon, Kagome still does not allow the girl to move, because she knows, despite being sober and improving, the girl is still quite weak.

Rin shook his head. Putting the empty bowl back in his hand onto the small table on the futon that served breakfast, he smiled. "Rin has added Rin rice twice, Kagome-sama. Rin's stomach could explode if Rin adds more."

"Cih," decak Inuyasha who was sitting next to Kagome suddenly. "Only three bowls can get the stomach."

"Don't equate Rin-chan with you, Inuyasha," Kagome said as she struck the inuyoukai's head with her right hand. His gaze then fell on the figure of Shiro on his lap who stared lustfully at Rin's breakfast. "You too, Shiro. Don't grow greedy like your father."

"It looks like it's going to be difficult, Kagome," interrupted Miroku who was also there while shaking his head. "Yesterday he spent five bowls of rice in my house."

"Yes, Shiro even wants to snatch my food as well!!" sidelines Mamoru who was sitting on Miroku's lap suddenly.

"Don't make it up," Sango pinched Mamoru's cheek slowly. His eyes closed and took a long breath. "Aren't you the one who's going to take Shiro's food?"

"Yes! Aye! We saw!!" yelled Aya and Maya together excitedly.

"Sister Aya, sister Maya, whose sister are you?? Why not defend me??" mamoru protests while touching her sore cheek due to Sango's pinch.

"That's because you're wrong, Mamoru," Kohaku laughed softly, his hand patting his nephew's head. "As a real man, you can't lie."

"Dare to lie with a sinless face" Shippo muttered as he looked at Miroku. "He'll grow up like you, Miroku."

Miroku laughed awkwardly and scratched his non-itchy head. "What do you mean, Shippo? Am I like that in your eyes?"

An instantaneous silence filled Rin's room. However, a moment later, everything inside laughed out loud. For a long time they had not felt this kind of atmosphere, the west-south war had kept them tense and worried all day long.

Rin who was there also laughed. The warm and very family atmosphere made her feel comfortable.

"My daughter!!!!"

A loud voice of someone suddenly sounded. Rin's bedroom door was immediately wide open making the laughter of all that was there stop. In front of the room door, Inukimi immediately ran in with a face full of worry, behind her, Kira and Kiri followed.

No matter everything, the inuyoukai immediately jumped on top of Rin's futon, his hands holding both of the girl's cheeks, examining her carefully. "Just a few days you've become thin like this, you should eat more little Rin."

Rin laughed at Inukimi's words. "Rin has eaten three bowls of rice, Mother."

"Good, mother wants you to heal quickly and get fat again." Inukimi smiled, she slowly hugged Rin. Not caring about Rin's little breakfast table being a hindrance.

Rin returned Inukimi's embrace and smiled broadly. " Yes, I'm sorry that Rin made Mom worry."

Rin's view then falls on the figure of Kiri and Kira. His smile grew wider as he looked at Kira who was standing without the slightest injury. "Thank God you're okay, Kira-sama."

"Thank you for raising the servant back, Rin-sama" said Kira. He lowered his face down. He didn't know what else to say, he thought he was dead, but the human girl in front of him brought him back to life.

"Thank you for bringing my servant's sister, Rin-sama." The left also lowered its head down just like Kira.

"Kira-sama, Kiri-sama.." call Rin suddenly slowly.

Kira and Kiri immediately raised their faces staring at Rin, and a second later they were stunned. In front of them, the human girl smiled sweetly.

"Kira-sama died for Rin. How could Rin let it go?" the smile on Rin's face widened, his clear black eyes staring at Kira and Kiri's figure full of warmth. "Moreover, for Rin, Kira-sama and Kiri-sama are the precious Rin family. Forever, Rin won't lose you."

Rin's words imprint in Kira's and Left's hearts. As a bodyguard, protecting and dying were natural to them. Moreover, for the human girls who grew up in their eyes, the girl that Inukimi and Sesshoumaru ordered them to protect. But—family.

Rin never considered them bodyguards. Smiles, laughter, flowers, warmth given—the girl always considers them family. Not someone else but a very precious family.

A warm feeling filled Kira and Left's heart. Strange, but pleasant, foreign feeling. And that day, the two of them decided to swear, not because of Sesshoumaru or Inukimi's orders, for the sake of the human girl in front of them now, they were willing to do anything.

Biting their right index finger to the point of bleeding, Kiri and Kira put their right fist together on their open left palm. Blood from their index fingers flowed and dripped down the tatami. Bowing their heads as evidence of respect, the two inuyoukai took their vows. "We, Kiri and Kira, twin brothers from the west. Recognizing Rin-sama, Hime from the west as master. We swear, our fangs are to protect you, our lives are to manifest your desires."

Inuyasha and the others were very surprised by what Kira and Kiri were doing. What the two inuyoukai did was a blood oath. The highest oath in the youkai world, where they recognize Rin as their master and are willing to do anything for him.

Inukimi stared at what was happening in front of her. There was a feeling of pride in his heart, his daughter did not have any strength, but she was stronger than anyone. He can make youkai subjugated and acknowledge him as lord— willing to do anything for him.

Rin is also very surprised by what Kiri and Kira are doing. He clearly knew what the meaning of the attitude and speech of the two inuyoukai in front of him was. Panic filled his heart. Releasing himself from Inukimi's embrace, he put aside the small table in front of him. Lifting up the blanket that enveloped his feet, he intended to stop the two youkai. "Kiri-sama, Kira-sama, what are you doing?? Rin is not ber—"

"Receive their vows, little Rin." cut Inukimi suddenly. He stops Rin from trying to get up from the futon where he is.

"But Mother.." Rin shook his head. He did not dare to accept the second oath of twin inuyoukai which was highly respected and respected in the west. Their vows should only be to Inukimi and Sesshoumaru, not to him who is an ordinary human being.

"You are my daughter, little Rin," Inukimi smiled. His golden eyes sparkled full of satisfaction staring at the human girl in front of him. "You are their master."

Rin remained doubtful, he grew even more riled up and it made Inukimi laugh out loud. Her foolish human daughter, did not know what the future that she was as Inuyoukai the former lord of the western lands saw while looking at her?—she saw a Kisaki from the western lands.

The west-south war that ended with a surprising result, the respect that was won, then, the shining seki meido—Rin may not know, but since a long time ago, it was, meido seki is inherited only from the kisaki of the west.

Inukimi knew, all that there was thought he left meido seki to Rin because of his selfishness and uncaring nature, but the reality was not entirely like that.

Although a true youkai, Inukimi is a mother. Although never said and shown, he understood the feelings of Sesshoumaru, his biological son. He knew that his foolish son also loved this human girl. Therefore, he wanted to help and prepare for their future. Why did he teach Rin everything about the youkai world? Why is he teaching him accounting, politics and how to set up a palace?—that's all because he is indeed preparing a Kisaki land west for to his son's generation. So, receiving the highest oath from Kiri and Kira was a natural thing.

Inukimi's laughter and the satisfied expression she showed made Rin gulp. He knows best and understands the attitude of the former lord of the western lands in front of him—he has no chance of rejecting the oath of Kiri and Kira now.

Swallowing his saliva again, Rin then looked at Kiri and Kira who were still bowing their faces down. Slowly, he got up and approached the two inuyoukai.

Sitting in front of them, Rin used her left palm to touch Kira's head, while the right palm touched her left head. Closing his eyes, he gathered all the courage to take the brothers' second inuyoukai oath. "I, Rin the son of man, take the oath of Kiri and Kira, the inuyoukai brothers of the west."

Inuyasha and the others went silent a thousand languages saw the ritual of the youkai vow before them. A true youkai with a dreaded power recognizes a human girl without spiritual power as master?—they would not believe it if they did not see her with their own eyes.

"Then, what Rin wants is western prosperity, what Rin wants is a better west."

Kiri and Kira smiled at Rin's words. All will never change even if their master increases by one. The ruling families of the western lands, all just for the ever-successful west.

"Hamba understands." replied Kiri and Kira simultaneously respectfully.

Rin lowered her hand, and still awkwardly, she immediately helped Kiri and Kira to stand up.

Plok-plok

The sound of applause suddenly rang out breaking the silence. Staring at the source of the voice, all of them saw Akihiko standing in front of Rin's open door with a smile on his face.

"You can't guess, Rin." Walking in, Akihiko's eyes stared fixedly at Rin who had opened his eyes.

Kiri and Kira immediately stood in front of Rin. The smiles on their faces immediately disappeared, replaced by an expressionless cold. However, their eyes observed every move of the southern land lord, as well as Inuyasha and the others.

"Akihiko-sama." Rin greeted Akihiko slowly, and it made a smile on the face of the ruler of the southern land widened.

"You're okay, aren't you, Rin?" approaching Rin, Akihiko paid no heed to Kiri and Kira who were staring at him sharply as well as Inuyasha and the others who were beginning to be wary. Only Inukimi seemed unconcerned with the appearance of the Southern Lords.

Rin nodded his head. "Rin's fine, Akihiko-sama," a smile immediately expands on her face. "You came at the exact moment of Akihiko-sama, Rin had just intended to look for you."

Rin's words clearly made everything that was staring at the human girl startled. What does the human girl need to look for the youkai in front of her?

"Oh?" akihiko muttered softly, but the excitement was clearly reflected on her handsome face.

"You don't have to look for it, Rin!!" inuyasha shouted suddenly. An expression of dislike was clearly visible on his face. "You should stay away from him! Like Koga, the wolf from the south was no good!!!"

Inuyasha's remarks were obviously an insult, but Akihiko was not angry in the slightest, as he could see Rin staring at the puzzled hanyou.

"Akihiko-sama is not an evil youkai, Inuyasha-sama," Rin smiled innocently. "When Rin was in the southern palace, he never did anything that hurt Rin."

Rin's explanation made hanyou and the humans who were there did not know what to say. This human girl seemed to have some abnormality in understanding the meaning of the word "Good". Since long ago he always said Sesshoumaru well, and now, he said Akihiko well?? Didn't he know that Akihiko was a true youkai lord of the land famous for his cruelty?? Was it then that if he was left with Naraku for a week, he would also say Naraku was good??

Rin who did not understand the inner debate of Inuyasha and the others looked back at Akihiko, she smiled sweetly. "There's something Rin wants to tell you, Akihiko-sama."

"What do you want to say, Rin?" ask Akihiko slowly. The girl in front of him did not change in the slightest, there was no fear and always looked at him full of smiles, making warmth fill his heart.

"Rin heard that you want to fight with the west" Rin explained. Stepping forward past Kiri and Kira, slowly, the smile on his face disappeared, replaced with a determined expression that looked straight at Akihiko. "Rin wants you to undo that intention, Akihiko-sama. Never fight again with the West."

What Rin said always surprised anyone who heard it, not least now, all staring stunned at the human girl.

"Rin doesn't want anyone to suffer and lose again, Akihiko-sama. Rin wants us to live forever and be happy with those we care about."

Rin's wish is probably the wish that many people want. However, no one dared to say so clearly to the daiyoukai in front of him that triggered the war.

Akihiko was stunned by what he heard, his two sky blue eyes staring straight at the pair of clear brown eyes that were unmoving. There was no smile, there was a determination of heart, and the ruler of the southern lands could feel how fast his heart was beating - how beautiful this human girl was. He is unpredictable and always full of surprises.

Inukimi looked proudly at Rin. His two golden eyes sparkled, he really did not choose wrong.

Akihiko suddenly laughed out loud. The smile did not disappear from his face even though he had already stopped laughing. His sky blue eyes sparkled brilliantly. "Alright Rin, if that's what you want."

Akihiko's answer surprised everyone. Is this how Rin can change the mind of youkai the ruler of the southern lands who caused a great war between the west and the south?

"really??" ask Rin quickly. A big smile again adorned his face.

"Yes," Akihiko laughed. Stepping forward he stood right in front of Rin, ignoring Kiri and Kira who were grinning to show their fangs. "But there are conditions."

"Condition??" rin was confused. A moment later, a smile returned to his face. "What are your terms Akihiko-sama?? As long as Rin is able, Rin will definitely support her!!"

"Rin-chan!!"

"Rin-sama!!"

The protests of Inuyasha and the others, were no exception Kiri and Kira. Akihiko is a dangerous and unpredictable youkai, the conditions put forward are definitely never good.

Akihiko did not care about their protests. Bending her body until her eyes were level with Rin's, she smiled. "I want you to go back to the southern land palace in the spring of next year."
