Chapter 97's

Kagome stepped her foot into the western land palace. With Shiro asleep in a sling and Inuyasha, the Miroku and Sango families beside him, they follow a fox youkai who shows them the way.

"Why should we set foot again into this palace, again??" inuyasha asked. Both of his hands were folded on his chest, while the expression did not like to be clearly seen on his handsome face.

"I don't know either, Inuyasha." replied Kagome with a sigh.

"Did something really happen to Rin-chan?" muttered Sango quietly. Like Kagome, she was also holding a slumbering Mamoru.

"I don't think so," interrupted Miroku whose right left hand was holding Aya and Maya's hand which was seen rubbing their eyes because they were still sleepy. "If anything happens to Rin-chan, the youkai who came to pick us up won't be that calm."

Last night, when the Inuyasha family and the Miroku family were asleep, suddenly a group of youkai from the western land palace appeared in front of the house with a large youkai horse carriage. Waking them all up, the youkai troupe asked them to head towards the western land palace at that time or rather forcefully.

Inuyasha who had his sleep disturbed clearly disagreed, he had even prepared to pull out the tessaiga sword to drive away the western youkai troupe. But, Kagome stops him and asks if something has happened to Rin and wants their presence in the western land palace all of a sudden.

The group did not answer Kagome's question, they just smiled and said their presence would be expected Rin. Therefore, after deliberating for a while, finally the Inuyasha family and the Miroku family decided to head for the western land palace.

"Curtainly," said Inuyasha, who still could not help but feel annoyance in his heart. Both of his hands then moved carrying Shiro from Kagome who looked a little overwhelmed by the weight of the child. "If nothing happens to Rin, then we'll go straight home."

"Don't know why, I feel like this palace is like our second home now," Miroku laughed as he shook his head. "Lately, I feel like I'm spending more time here."

Miroku's words were approved by Kagome and Sango. The word monk is indeed not wrong, from the birthday of Sesshoumaru, the war west and south, the marriage of Sesshoumaru and Rin– several months they are indeed often in this palace.

Stepping on, they all finally arrived in front of Sesshoumaru and Rin's room which was within the western earth palace pavilion. The fox youkai who led them politely announced their presence. "Rin-sama, Inuyasha-sama and his entourage have arrived."

"Lake in." Rin's bell-like laughter was heard answering. Her cheerful voice could not hide her happiness.

Not saying anything more, the fox youkai instantly opened the closed room shoji door and let Inuyasha and the others in.

When the door of the room opened, what Inuyasha and the others saw was a very beautiful room. Beautiful paintings and calligraphy writing as well as summer flowers decorate the rooms. In the dominance of red, the color of the western greatness of the room is very elegant and shows clearly the personality of the owner of the room.

Then, in the room, overflowed with sunlight entering through the window behind her, a human woman sat down gracefully. Very beautiful woman with a smile as beautiful as spring–foot west land; Rin.

"Kagome-sama, Sango-sama, Inuyasha-sama, Miroku-sama and all," a happy Rin laughter called out to them. He immediately got up and walked quickly closer to them. "Welcome!!"

"Thank you for being willing to come to the western land palace for Rin," Rin's smile widened. The sparkle of happiness on his face right made him look so dazzling like the sun outside shining brilliantly. Raising both of his hands, he tightly hugged Kagome. "Rin is so happy!!"

"Rin-sama," call Kiri who is behind Rin slowly. The Inuyoukai personal guard of the western land kisaki showed an unusual worried expression on his face. "Be careful."

Left speech immediately made Rin let go of her embrace. Gazing at his personal bodyguards, he nodded his head slowly.

Inuyasha and the others were quite confused by Rin and Kiri's attitude, but they had not had time to say anything, Inukimi's loud voice suddenly sounded from behind.

"My daughter!! Little rin!!"

Looking at the source of the sound, Rin and the others could see Inukimi running towards the room. Behind him, Jaken ran after him while carrying a bowl of black-colored liquid in both hands. A very wide smile and laughter adorned the beautiful face of the former ruler of the western land.

"Mother!" ron Rin is happy to see Inukimi.

Kagome's question makes Rin look back at the future miko. He could also see Inuyasha, Sango and Miroku were also staring at him worriedly waiting for an answer.

Smiling softly, with her eyes shining full of happiness, Rin then lowered her gaze on her queen belly. Slowly, he moved both hands hugging the new life he knew was there. "Rin is pregnant with Sesshoumaru-sama's child.."

Rin's reply left Kagome, Inuyasha and the others speechless. But a moment later, their stunned expressions immediately turned to surprise.

"What!!????"

"Eh!!?"

"Containing!!!??"

Then, in the uproar that existed, the voice of Mamoru who did not know since when it had awakened, suddenly sounded. "containing? Does this mean that Mamoru's future wife will be born soon?"

"Do you want the servant to take care of the rumors circulating in the human world today, Sesshoumaru-sama?" asked Kira who was kneeling in the workspace of the ruler of the west. His two golden eyes were directed at Sesshoumaru who was sitting reading the scroll of documents in front of him.

To a cowardly and thoughtful human being they are the truest in the world, if he did something to prove the rumors circulating are not true. If he forced to stop this rumor, then the rumor would get worse.

The only thing we can do is not care about it. His long life has taught, he will not be able to stop the mouths of all existing humans. Rumors are rumors, and in the youkai world, a human rumor is meaningless.

Rin is human, but her world is a youkai world. The rumors circulating will have no effect on him, because he is not a human kisaki, but a youkai kisaki. His position did not shake just because of human rumors.

Sesshoumaru did not say anything more. Slowly, he went back to reading the scroll of documents he had in hand. However, a second later his keen sense of smell captured clearly the smell of Inuyasha and his entourage who had arrived at the western land palace.

Their arrival to his palace was none other than Inukimi's idea. Upon learning of Rin's pregnancy, the former ruler of the western lands was overjoyed and thought of all he could do for his son-in-law and grandson.

From making potions, cultivating to inviting Inuyasha and his entourage to live in the western land palace. Inukimi thought, for Rin who is a human, she would definitely be calmer through pregnancy until her birth if she had another human she trusted aside.

In the rooms of the current rulers of the western lands, there are only Rin, Inuyasha, Kagome, Sango, Miroku and Inukimi. Shiro, Mamoru, Aya and Maya who were still exhausted from the trip were resting in another room with Jaken assigned to watch over.

"Mother," call Rin who had been silent all of a sudden. Both of his eyes were full of curiosity. "What was Sesshoumaru-sama like as a baby?"

"Hmnn," Inukimi muttered again, imagining her son's childhood now. "He's quiet. She never cried or made the slightest sound, Taisho thinks she's mute. She is also inactive, preferring sleep over opening her eyes. But, he would growl full of anger and flaunt fangs if anyone touched him."

"Hmnn, despite being a baby, Sesshoumaru is still Sesshoumaru." Miroku muttered softly while nodding his head.

"Ahhh," whispered Rin slowly. Smile widened on his face. "Rin so wanted to see Sesshoumaru-sama as a baby."

Inukimi laughed at Rin's words. Sesshoumaru's childhood, although there is no sweetness and funny at all, it will still be an unforgettable time for him.

"Curtain," Inuyasha sneered as he threw away his face. "I'm not interested in hearing that son of a bitch's past!"

However, a second later, Inuyasha, turned his face towards the closed door of the room, as well as the others. They could clearly sense the aura of Sesshoumaru's approaching existence.

The closed shoji door opened, the eyes of everyone in the room could clearly see the figure of Sesshoumaru who did not have any expectations walking in.

"Sesshoumaru-sama." Call Rin happy. His big smile and happy sparkling eyes were directed at Sesshoumaru.

"Sister, congratulations." said Kagome, congratulating Sesshoumaru with a smile on her face.

"Congratulations Sesshoumaru." continued Miroku and Sango together. They also smiled sincerely in the inuyoukai.

"Hhhh!!!" inuyasha shouted while laughing suddenly. Standing up, on his handsome face was now engraved a smile grinning. "Welcome you will soon be the father of a hanyou like me who you always ben–ahhhhh!!"

"Osuvari."

Inuyasha's laughter immediately turned into a cry as Kagome who was beside him smiled and muttered. Exposed on top of the tatami, the innuanyou was unable to move.

"Kagome!!!" inuyasha yelled in annoyance then. Raising his head, he looked at Kagome sharply. But as usual, his wife did not care.

Sesshoumaru who walked in did not care about Inuyasha and the others at all. In fact, when he entered this room, all that was in his sight was Rin smiling at him.

Approaching Rin, he then moved both hands and held the human woman. His two golden eyes stared gently at his kisak. "You've eaten, Rin?"

Putting both his hands on the shoulders of the ruler of the western lands, Rin smiled very sweetly at the inuyoukai. "Rin has eaten Sesshoumaru-sama."

Sesshoumaru nodded his head hearing Rin's reply. A very thin smile adorned his face "Good."

Sesshoumaru's attitude and interaction towards Rin left Inuyasha and the others stunned. They already know, the western land is very important for the ruler of the western land. But, seeing their affection like this, not knowing why, they felt like a bully now.

"Alright," Inukimi laughed suddenly. Standing up, he then turned his body and walked out of the room. "There's something I have to do, take care of little Rin and my granddaughter, Sesshoumaru."

Kagome and the others also immediately followed Inukimi. They do not want to disturb the newlyweds togetherness.

"We won't bother you anymore, Rin-chan. Rest more," Kagome smiled and stood up. "We have to check on the kids. Shiro must have woken up."

Miroku and Sango also stood up. The two of them nodded their heads and smiled in agreement to Kagome's words. Inuyasha was the only one who stood up with an annoyed face, but this time, he did not say anything.

"Alright, Rin will rest at your command, Kagome-sama." Reply to Rin who is in Sesshoumaru's arms while laughing.

Kagome and the others except Inuyasha kept smiling, but said nothing more. Simultaneously, they all then stepped out of the room.

When the door to the shoji room was closed, Rin turned her face to look at Sesshoumaru. His wide smile grew wider, as did the twinkle of happiness on his face.

Silently silent, Sesshoumaru then walked closer to the open window of the room. Sitting down and placing Rin at his feet, he then looked back at the human woman. "Are you hot?"

Rin laughed and shook his head. He knew, the purpose of Sesshoumaru sitting by the window is so that the wind from outside that blows in can be felt– to drive away the heat he felt. The ruler of this western land, though always cold and expressionless, was in fact a very considerate husband.

Closing his eyes, Rin then leaned his back against Sesshoumaru's chest. The smile on his face grew wider as he felt the pair of inuyoukai hands move hugging his ping, or rather, hugging his stomach.

Blissfulness.

Only that word can describe Rin's feelings now. Happiness is limitless. More beautiful than a dream, a reality he never thought existed.

Slowly, Rin's hand moved to touch Sesshoumaru's hand on his stomach. The warmth of the feeling that filled the entire recesses of his heart, made him seem to want to cry. Their magic–their worthless miracle.

"Love. Rin. Sesshoumaru-sama also loves you. Grow up well. Grow up healthy. Rin and Sesshoumaru-sama will always protect you..."

Sesshoumaru tightened his embrace. Rin said it didn't feel wrong in her ears. And for the first time he realized. He always thought, in this world, he would love Rin alone. But, unexpectedly, it turns out that in this world, there will be another existence that he loves their children.
