Chapter 58's

Kohaku and Shippo ran as fast as they could, racing against time to reach the houshi mountain. They did not rest even a little although honestly they had started to weariness.

"That's it!! Mount houshi!!" shippo shouted happily. Although it was still quite far away, his eyes had already managed to catch the top of the mountain houshi.

Kohaku did not shout joyfully like Shipo, he clenched his fingers firmly and held his breath. Although far away, he could feel just how much and terrifying a raging youkai aura emanated from the mountain peak.

Sighing at the breath he was holding, suddenly, from a distance, Kohaku felt a strange feeling fill his heart. Squinting his eyes straight ahead, he found a visible kekkai.

"Shippo," call Kohaku to stop his run. "You can feel there's a kekkai ahead."

Shippo immediately stopped his footsteps. Focusing his eyes forward, like Kohaku, he can also make the existence of the kekkai.

Vigilantly, the fox taijiya and youkai walked closer to the kekkai. The kekkai will not be visible to the eyes of ordinary humans, but, if those who are youkai and taijiya concentrate the senses of sight, it will be clearly visible a great kekkai.

Shippo's words made the young taijiya look at the fox youkai in surprise.

"This aura is the aura of the youkai lord of the northern lands, Takeru."

Sen stared at the left with anger. He began to be overwhelmed and desperate. Every attack he launched could be held back by the inuyoukai in front of him.

Sasumata in Sen's hand and Kiri's spear continued to clash. But, anyone who sees will know, that in this fight, the Left is superior.

However, what made Sen angry was the insulting smile on that inuyoukai face. A clear smile said that he was weak.

"Can you exert all your strength" Kiri said suddenly with a smile still on her pretty face. "I'm not interested in wasting a long time here."

Left speech is an insult that Sen cannot accept, his body shook with anger. In the north, he was one of the youkai respected by anyone, he was one of the youkai beliefs of Takeru, the ruler of the northern lands, but in the west, he was so low that he was not considered.

The smile on Kiri's face widened, the inuyoukai eager to play longer with the northern youkai in front of him. But, he couldn't waste any longer here.

Gritting his teeth, Sen's eyes turned red, green smoke filled his body. And a second later, his human body grew and elongated until it finally turned into a large python.

Left just stood silently staring at the original figure of Sen who was many times larger than him. There was not the slightest trace of trembling in his heart. Even if there is, there is only a feeling of disappointment. The Inuyoukai thought Sen was a powerful youkai who, it turned out that he was wrong, the snake youkai in front of him was not his opponent at all.

Sen pushed his tail against Kiri, and agilely, the inuyoukai jumped away. But, Sen did not allow it, even though his true figure was very big, he was also very agile. Chasing, he opened his big mouth to pounce on his opponent figure.

Left smiling at Sen's attack. Jumping upwards, he easily landed on the head of the snake youkai. Not wasting any time, he stuck the tip of his spear into the right eye of the opponent.

Sen's red eyes, staring around, trying to find a way or a gap to escape. Then, his left red eyes fell on the figures of Shiro, Aya, Maya and Mamoru who stood looking scared at his fight and Left.

Moving all the remaining power, Sen darted quickly towards Hanyou and the human child. His ekorn wrapped around Shiro and the others, while his open mouth showed large pointed teeth, directed right behind them. "Don't come any closer, or they'll die in front of you!"

Left stared at Sen without changing his expression. A moment later, he smiled. "Please."

Sen's eyes widened to hear Kiri's remark, and it made the inuyoukai laugh. His golden eyes stared for a moment at Maya, Aya and Mamoru who were now also staring back at him with pale faces in disbelief, and the confused Shiro did not know what was happening.

Left felt funny in his heart. Who are you and that human child to him?- nobody. Just because Rin is loved in the West, do all youkai in the north, south and east think, western youkai like hanyou and humans?

What a stupid thought. They did not like humans, they could only tolerate the existence of those weak beings. And that's because they want to carve a smile on someone's pretty face.

Loving and liking, indeed western youkai only love and like a human, namely; Rin.

"K-left-san.." call Maya and Aya stammering. He really did not believe the Left speech that did not care about their lives. The Inuyoukai she saw was always gentle and smiling at Rin-chan, it turned out to be so heartless.

"You!!!" sen shouted with anger. Hostages in his hands are meaningless. Moving his tail, he intended to throw his hostage at the inuyoukai in front.

Sen's body collapsed downward and lost consciousness. Her body twists on Shiro, Aya, Maya and Mamoru were released.

Walking slowly down from Sen's head, Kiri's golden eyes met Shiro's, Aya's, Maya's and Mamoru's eyes which could not hide their fear and shock of what they saw.

"Thank you, Kiri-san.."

"Thank you for saving us.."

Aya and Maya immediately thanked him. No matter what happened, the inuyoukai in front of him had saved them.

"Kiri-san, that was kidding, right?" asked Maya then, while tightening her embrace at Mamoru who was still silent in fear. An awkward smile covered his face. "Please youkai it kills us all, it's just your trick, right?"

Left did not answer Maya's question, he just smiled. Alive-dead they, inuyoukai it really doesn't matter, but if they die, Rin-sama will definitely be sad. So, for the sake of that human girl's smile, this time she was willing to save them.

Tsubasa throws his disc sword at Inukimi. However, the inuyoukai was easily evaded. A joyful smile adorned the face of the former ruler of the western land.

"Come, throw your toy back to me" Inukimi laughed at Tsubasa. "Don't disappoint a parent like me."

Capturing the sword disc that flew towards him, Tsubasa moved forward to attack, aiming for Inukimi's head. But, easily, the former lord of the western lands stopped him. The two disc swords were stopped because they collided with the whip in his opponent's hand.

Suddenly, from behind Tsubasa's back a pair of large white wings appeared. And like a weapon, the two dear ones moved to attack Inukimi.

The shocked Inukimi immediately jumped away, so the attack only hit the snow ground below and blew it up.

Inukimi who landed behind smiled looking at her opponent. In front of him now, Tsubasa stood with a pair of large white wings on his back. The face of the beloved concubine of the southern land lord had changed. Black lines filled the face with a pair of blood-red eyes, he had started to return to his original youkai figure.

"You are strong, little bird," Inukimi laughed, revealing her long canine teeth. His blood-red eyes shone full of satisfaction. "I will gladly break your wings."

Not wasting any more time, Inukimi darted forward. He unsheathed his whip, but Tsubasa swiftly repelled it with a disc sword in hand.

"Eyes returned to eyes, teeth returned to teeth." murmured Inukimi slowly smiled. A second later, the moko-moko on his body instantly moved, breaking into dozens of pieces, tapering to resemble an attacking weapon.

Tsubasa was quite surprised, Inukimi's attack right now, was definitely his style of attack just now. Flapping its wings, the beloved concubine of the southern land lord flew backwards dodging.

"It's not that easy, little bird!!" Laughter Inukimi, he jumped up. Throwing his whip again, the end of the iron rope tied Tsubasa's legs, causing her to have trouble moving. Then, his gun moko darted faster towards the youkai bird.

The desperate Tsubasa, grinned furiously. Folding his two white wings shut, a blue flame suddenly appeared filling his entire body. Opening its two wings again, a powerful wind and fire attack struck Inukimi, forcing the inuyoukai to retreat downward.

Landing below, Inukimi looked up at Tsubasa. The figure of the beloved concubine of the ruler of the southern land has changed completely, there is no longer a beautiful figure like a human. The back to her feet had turned similar to a large clawed bird. Blood red eyes, pointed teeth, deathly pale skin and importantly the blue flames that filled his entire body were like a protector.

Not saying anything, Tsubasa swooped down with the disc sword in both hands. Inukimi jumps evasive, but Tsubasa chases easily. His speed increased by several folds as he returned to the original figure of his youkai.

Scavenging the snow ground below, his mouth opened revealing long fangs dripping with poison. His figure was now like a mad dog that would scare anyone who saw him.

Then, Inukimi suddenly jumped forward, opening her big mouth to pounce on Tsubasa. Dodging, the youkai bird flew upwards, however, the former lord of the western land was chasing. A large body does not make the speed of movement decreases, which is even faster.

Tsubasa did not continue to avoid, he realized, he would be desperate if he continued to avoid. Reversing his body as he looked at the distance of those who stayed half a meter away, the youkai bird opened its mouth and again launched an attack with all its might. "Hinoiki!"

Blue flames shot out from Tsubasa's mouth. However, Inukimi did not dodge, instead she lunged.

Tsubasa is shocked, as she does not expect Inukimi to hit her manager regardless of the injuries she will receive. A huge blue flame wrapped around the huge body, creating blasts that blazed over the battlefield.

A pitch-black smoke filled the surroundings, stopping some youkai who were fighting below as well as in the sky.

Tsubasa continued to fly over the sky despite the black smoke surrounding him. He did not let down his guard. However, undeniably, there was a feeling of joy filling his heart. Stepping him?—has he managed to defeat the former ruler of the western land? He did not sense the aura of Inukimi's existence anymore.

"I did not turn off your wings, little bird," said Inukimi's voice suddenly from behind Tsubasa. "I'll break your head."

Turning his body in shock, what Tsubasa saw was Inukimi's large mouth that opened wide in front of him, then, all dark, because the former western land master had managed to bite his head to pieces.

The powerful explosion due to the swords of Sesshoumaru and Akihiko that collided made the snow ground where they stood cracked. Shaking their hands, attack after attack was unleashed impeccably.

The speed and strength of the two daiyoukai were more or less the same, each time Akihiko was able to engrave a wound with his sword, Sesshoumaru would also scratch the wound.

Jumping backwards, Sesshoumaru then swung and launched a special attack of his sword. "Back!"

A powerful Youki shot towards Akihiko, the streams of electricity running through the entirety of the attack smashing the snow ground beneath him.

Akihiko smiled, he also launched his youkinya attack. "Ara kaze!"

A powerful youki attack shot out from Akihiko's sword. Unlike the Sesshoumaru bakusaiga attack, the southern land ruler's youki attack was windy and broke into dozens of irregularly moving parts.

"Good!! Come Sesshoumaru! Go Akihiko! Slash your necks!!" the laughter of a jubilant youkai from a distance saw the second fight of the lord of the western and southern lands.

His right hand moved down his short black hair, while his green eyes exuded an unstoppable joy.

"You are overjoyed, Takeru-sama." the smile of a youkai woman standing beside Takeru, the ruler of the northern land.

Stop laughing, Takeru turned his face to the woman's youkai. A big smile adorned his handsome face. "You should have fun too, Akiko."

Akiko, the daughter of the ruler of the eastern land laughed at Takeru's words. "You're right, Takeru-sama. Servants should have fun."

Takeru then set his sights on the large army standing behind him. His smile is getting wider.

All according to his plan. The west and south are at war. No matter who wins later, there will be no problems, because the winner will experience a tremendous decline in strength.

That's when he, Tekeru from the north will appear with his army. The newly victorious army of the war, the wounded and weak army will not be able to face its forces. If this war were over, in Japan, there would be no more west and south, only north and east. Then, with Akiko from the east willing to be her partner, all of Japan will be in her hands.

Hearing Rin's name slide out of Akihiko's mouth, Sesshoumaru's golden eyes turned blood red, the anger he had been holding back from earlier slid out. Shaking her strength, she pressed Akihiko backwards.

Akihiko jumped to avoid the pressure of the Sesshoumaru bakusaiga. He then landed down on the ground. Looking up at the inuyoukai still in the air, he laughed. "You're not going to follow in your father's footsteps, are you, Sesshoumaru?"

Akihiko's question made Seshoumaru stunned.

"Love the weak and perished. You're gonna follow that trail??" akihiko asked again, smilingly staring at the stunned figure of Seshoumaru.

Sesshoumaru did not answer Akihiko's question. The question was one that kept spinning in his mind. Loving?—dia has loved. But, how dare he?—she doesn't know.

Sesshoumaru.

The girl's eternal spring smile flashed through Sesshoumaru's mind. A beautiful smile that stuck in his heart.

Higher than the sky, deeper than the sea, greater than the world, more than Rin himself lived. More than anything, that is how much Rin loves Sesshoumaru-sama.

Confession of the girl's love as a child, how dare she reply?—Shoumaru do not know.

"You can't answer, can you, Sesshoumaru?" Akihiko again laughed contemptuously. The ruler of the southern lands knew, although he had not known the human girl for long, he knew; Rin loved Sesshoumaru. But, he also knew, Seshoumaru the ruler of the western land would never repay that love.

To love? Does she, Akihiko from the south love Rin, that human girl?—honestly she doesn't know. But, if by loving the girl, the girl could always be by her side, she did not mind.

"Death in my hand today, Seshoumaru. I'll give her everything you can't give. I'll make sure he leaves you; I'll make sure he forgets you."

Akihiko's words made Sesshoumari's blood-red eyeballs darken even more until they were close to black. A terrifying youki aura emanated out from anger, making the youkai under fear.

An overwhelming anger filled Seshoumaru. Rin left? Rin forgot? Giving everything?- know what bragging youkai in front of him is now? Know what he's going to Rin? Do you know what she wants with what the human girl really wants?

Rin wants to be with Sesshoumaru.

Always be with who Seshoumaru knows is impossible. Humans and youkai, the abyss that always separates them, more than anyone else, Sesshoumaru is the most aware of what a youkai love is to humans. Know what Akihiko would mean to love Rin who is a human?
