Chapter 174

Miroku stared in disbelief at the youkai who suddenly appeared helping them. But from the blue flag of the emblem selrta, the monk knew the identity of the youkai "Southern land?"

"Yin-san?" call Sango confused when he sees a bear youkai who appears to help him. He clearly remembered the bear's youkai, because hanami was ten years ago inside the southern land palace.

"For a long time no see, taijiya." Kei's laughter saw Sango who still remembered him even though ten years had passed. "When it's all over, let's play karuta cards again."

Sango was stunned to hear Kei's words. But a moment later, he laughed out loud. Nodding his head, he prepared to throw his giant boomerang. "Yes, let's play again."

On the other hand, Arata, the taijiya leader and the other alliance leaders stared in disbelief at what was happening. Seeing the southern land youkai that appeared helped, they felt this was all like a dream. Not moving, they were silent like statues.

"Arata-san! Everybody!! Don't just keep quiet!! This battle is not over!!" the sound of Kohaku's screams resuscitated Arata as well as the others.

Instantly, Arata and the others again fought with all their strength. However, disbelief still filled their hearts. How could any youkai that suddenly appeared help them?—youkai were assassins, youkai were enemies of humans, right?

Shura and Shiro ran. Not far in front of them, they could see the peak of the hare mountain very clearly. Of all that exists, thanks to Akihiko, Tsubasa and the others who paved the way, only the two of them managed to get out of the battlefield for now. Taking a break and waiting for others might be a good choice, but both Shura and Shiro know they can't. This place is the enemy's place, they should not waste any time.

"We're almost there!!" shouts Shiro happily. After endless struggle and fight, the two of them would finally reach the top of the hare mountain.

Unlike Shiro who was overjoyed, Shura's face remained calm and flat. The little Inuyoukai knew, reaching the top of the hare mountain did not mean their goal was reached, it was probably the other way around. He could feel the incredible aura of youki from the mountain peak, and it was—Shui.

Does Shura have the confidence to beat Shui?— to be honest; nothing. Their difference in strength was too far away, but, that did not mean he would stop trying to fight it.

"Shura, my beloved son.."

An unfamiliar voice rang out, both Shura and Shiro stopped and set their sights on the source of the sound emanating not far in front of them. Instantly, Shiro's face became very aneg, between disgust and also annoyance, while to Shura, he remained calm as if the one in front of him was an unknown person.

The one now in front of Shura and Shiro is Akiko, the hime of the eastern lands. Standing with a smile on her face, she looked gently at Shura. "Mother misses you so much."

"Until when do you dream that Shura is your son?" ask Shiro later. He stared dislikefully at Akiko who he thought was very shameless.

Akiko who did not care about Shiro opened her arms wide. "Come my son, let your mother embrace you."

Shura who from earlier was silent with an expressionless face then walked towards Akiko slowly, and it made Shiro very surprised. "Hey!!! What are you doing??"

Shura paid no heed to Shiro's cry looking at him in disbelief. Arriving right in front of Akiko, his two golden eyes were directed at the fox youkai who smiled very widely at him.

"My son, I love you very much..." Akiko said again. Both of his eyes were full of excitement.

"Omong empty." Shura muttered then. Instantly, he moved the sword in his hand to slash Akiko.

Akiko did not change her facial expression in the slightest with Shura's surprise attack. The golden scarf wrapped around his body immediately moved and repelled the sword aimed at him. He predicted the attack.

Moving, the end of Akiko's scarf attacked Shura who was very close quickly. Like a sword, the tip was aiming at the neck of the small inuyoukai.

Shura who noticed that immediately jumped back. On landing, his two golden eyes looked back at Akiko who was still smiling at him.

Shiro who saw what was happening did not move from his place, but the inuanyou breathed a sigh of relief. "If you want to attack him like that give me a little code, Shura," he said a little annoyed. "I thought you'd really let the fox hug you."

Shura once again paid no attention to Shiro. Without wasting any time, he went back forward to unsheathing the sword at Akiko. He really did not understand how this high-level stupidity insatiable with a quarter of the same blood as him.

Shiro also wasted no more time, along with raising the sword in his hand, he came forward to help Shura attack Akiko.

"My son, why are you being like this?" ask Akiko keep smiling. Moving both ends of his shawl, he went along to attack Shura and Shiro. "How can you attack your mother?"

Shura did not answer Akiko's question directed at her. Focusing himself on attacking, he further accelerated his attack speed.

In contrast to Shura, Shiro who heard Akiko's words was completely unable to contain the anger within him. "Be quiet you fox!! Who is your son!!? Reflect first!!"

Akiko laughed seeing Shura and Shiro's reaction. Seeing the two of them trying so hard to attack him, he really felt overjoyed, because finally came the day where he could avenge all the humiliation he had received all this time.

Shura—putra of Sesshoumaru and also the human woman he hated. The first time Akiko entered the western land palace and heard the order that she would become the birth mother of the small inuyoukai— tremendous anger filled her. He had no idea what purpose Sesshoumaru was doing that for, but clearly, the inudaiyoukai had no intention of letting her give birth to another child. Moreover, within the palace, she was not a kisaki but a concubine without strength and power.

The western land youkai are the same, they have absolutely no respect and regard for him, therefore, Akiko does not hesitate to cooperate with Shui to destroy the western land. How happy he was to see the leaders of the youkai clan in the haughty western lands being deceived and sealed in a glass bottle for underestimating him.

Seeking them full of humility and wanting to speak one eye under the pretext of important matters regarding the western lands, Akiko managed to deceive most of the youkai clan leaders in the western lands. Then, using his long-trained servant of trust to imitate the youkai leader, no one realized what had happened.

Now that the western lands had fallen, he had avenged the humiliation he had continued to receive all this time. If there was anything he was less satisfied with, perhaps it was that he could not tear and kill the dead human woman. That's why, in exchange, he would do all that to his son.

"You should be grateful to call me mother all this time!!" akiko shouted then while laughing. Along with his shout, eight of his tail suddenly appeared and attacked Shura and Shiro.

Both Shura and Shiro who were aware of the attack immediately jumped behind dodging.

Landing, Shiro yelled angrily at Akiko. "The sem—-tailed fox" the inuanyou remark came to a halt as he noticed the number of fox youkai tails in front of him. "Eight? The first time I saw an eight-tailed fox."

Shiro's words made an overwhelming anger meet Akiko. Ten years ago, one of his tails broke up against the Left from the west, and that was the greatest humiliation he had ever received.

"Based in blood!!" Moving the eight tails, Akiko was after Shiro who had insulted her.

Shiro immediately raised his sword to resist the attack. From Akiko's attack movements, he knew, this attack was an attack from all directions and was extremely dangerous.

However, suddenly, Shiro felt someone's back touching his back, and he could not hide his shocked feelings when he saw Shuralah the owner of the back.

Akiko who saw his attack could be restrained by the two of them then pulled back her tail, and the opportunity was immediately taken advantage of by Shura. Shouting at Shiro, he jumped up. "Shiro!!"

Shiro immediately raised his head to look at Shura in disbelief, as this was the first time the inuyoukai had called out his name. Then, the moment their identical golden eyes met, he immediately fused his two fingers together. It was strange, Shiro did not understand, why would he know what Shura wanted now? Why is it that Shura is sure she will know what her plan is?—does this mean that their relationship is close enough?

Shura landed down successfully on Shiro's hands, and immediately, the inuanyou threw the inuyoukai with all his strength towards Akiko. "Defeat him!!"

Thanks to Shiro, Shura can glide very quickly towards Akiko, even faster than the tail being pulled back. Gathering the youki and bandaging it on the sword, he unsheathed the sword aiming at the neck of the fox youkai in plain sight.

"You are indeed the son of Sesshoumaru, though low blood flows through your body." Akiko said later. The smile on his face widened, moving his shawl again, the cloth tightly wrapped Shura's sword.

Shura realized that, and she also knew that it was not a good thing. However, he had not had time to do anything, wrapped in cloth that was getting tighter and stronger managed to break his sword.

"Dora!!!" shiro shouted in surprise at what had happened.

"You are so arrogant if you can think of defeating me!!!" akiko shouted while laughing. Moving his body, his claw-shaped hand targeted Shura's heart. The little Inuyoukai in front of him was strong, but, no matter how strong he was, he who was only ten would be unlikely to be able to win against his hundreds of years old self.

Shura released the sword in her hand, and with all her strength, she jumped backwards. A second later, he knew he was going to lose his life. However, Akiko also realized what the small inuyoukai would do. Turning his body, he lifted his leg to kick the small body strong.

"Dora!!! Avoid!!" the sound of Shiro's cry sounded strong. Running fast, he tried to reach Shura.

Shura tried to get up as soon as possible, and as she raised her head, she saw Akiko had darted towards her with a shawl as well as her eight tails. Without the sword, he would absolutely be unable to withstand the attack.

"Small!!! Catch this!!!" all of a sudden, Inuyasha's screaming voice rang out loud, and yet Shiro turned his head to look at his father, something darted quickly past him from behind.

Shiro who was still staring at Shura could see what his father threw with all his energy passing through him, it was an old sword that was none other than one of the heirlooms of the western land—tessaiga.

Shura immediately noticed the whereabouts of tessaiga darting towards him. Without wasting any time, he caught the sword just before Akiko's attack.

"Dora!!!"

"Dora!!"

"Small!!"

Dust smoke and powerful explosions occurred as Akiko's attack hit its target. Shiro, as well as the newly arrived Inuyasha and Kagome stared at the source of the explosion full of worry. Then, as the smoke disappeared, their eyes dined in disbelief at what was happening before their eyes.

Standing up straight, Shura cuddled the tessaiga in its original form resisting Akiko's attack. Without the slightest injury, the small inuyoukai managed to stop the scarf and also the tail of the fox youkai.

"How come?? How can you use tessaiga??!" Akiko stared in disbelief at Shura who was standing withstanding the attack with the tessaiga in its original form.

Inuyasha, Kagome and Shiro were similarly shocked by Akiko. The Tessaiga is a western land heirloom different from other swords, because it is a sword that cannot be used by a true youkai. The sword can only be grasped by humans or hanyou.

"Inuyasha, how do you know, Shura can use tessaiga?" ask Kagome who was on Inuyasha's back slowly. Her eyes were not directed at her husband in the slightest and were only directed at the impossible before her eyes. He knew clearly that tessaiga could not be used a true youkai, even Sesshoumaru alone could not use it.

Inuyasha did not answer Kagome's question. To be honest he also did not understand, the reason he threw the tessaiga was not because he knew Shura could use it, but rather because there was nothing else he could do anymore back then. His position just now did not allow him to launch his manager to attack Akiko because it would injure Shura, and the situation was also very urgent, too late just a little, they would lose that little inuyoukai forever.

In the past, Inuyasha wanted to be a true youkai. He did not want to be the hanyou who was always looked down upon and underestimated, which is why he was eyeing shikon no tama. Who wants to be born as a hanyou? But, this was where he now saw, the purest-blooded true youkai that everyone adored said that he was a proud hanyou.

How could Shura not want to be a youkai, but instead want to be a hanyou? How would the little guy be willing to throw away all the pride he had as a true youkai? everything coveted all hanyou in the world—Inuyasha know, it's because—sang mother; Rin.

Rin wants Shura safe and free, because that's why miracles happen, humans who give birth to true youkai. But not with Shura. She does not want to be a youkai, she prefers to be a hanyou, because—her mother is a human.

Inuyasha was ashamed of himself.  Unlike her who rejected the blood in her veins, Shura accepted it full of pride. That's why, if this is all done, Inuyasha knows he must visit the grave of Izayoi, his biological mother and apologize. Sorry because he had rejected his blood, sorry because he had wanted to be a true youkai—maaf because he had forgotten the love given.

Don't worry, Inuyasha-sama. Rin's son will be happy as you are. Rin's choice was the most correct one..

The sound of Inuyasha's cry was heard by Shura. But, she did not care, in her golden eyes, she could see the airflow and youki who was there—she knew, where she had to cut it. Swinging the tessaiga again, he staged the attack he had seen. "Kaze no kizu!!"

Kaze no kizu, an attack that can kill a hundred youkai in one swing, Shura who held the tessaiga for the first time managed to use the sword mainstay attack perfectly.

Kagome and Shiro did not believe what they saw, whereas for Inuyasha, once again, he laughed out loud. She was indeed quite surprised, but, rather than being surprised, she was more happy—like her father, Shura could also launch kaze no kizu at the first time grasping tessaiga.

Akiko was unable to move, she really did not predict that not only could she use, Shura could also launch a flagship attack of tessaiga. He wanted to avoid it, but it was too late. Kaze no kizu's attack hit him.

"W-how did you launch kaze no kizu??" asked Shiro then while shouting loudly. Running up to Shura, she still stared in disbelief at the inuyoukai. He has repeatedly grasped tessaiga and tried to launch kaze no kizu, but never succeeded.

Shura did not answer Shiro's question. As usual, he was silent with his expressionless face. His victory over Akiko or his success using tessaiga did not make him smile or happy in the least.

"That's because her father's genes are different" Kagome interrupted suddenly. Walking closer to Shura and Shiro, he smiled. The future Miko inevitably remembers the past where she saw Sesshoumaru launch kaze no kizu. "You're really big brother's son, Shura."

"Sadly" Inuyasha's pout beside him disliked. "What do you mean, Kagome?—Shiro will also be able to launch kaze no kizu as soon as possible."

"We were able to be here because Akihiko-san and Tsubasa-san opened the way," Kagome cut off quickly while hitting hard on Inuyasha's head. "They can't come here because after all the enemies that keep popping up are so many."

Akihiko and Tsubasa are the leaders of the army, Kagome knows very well that they are paving the way for her and Inuyasha following Shura is the best option they have. The number of northern and eastern land youkai that were not comparable to the number of southern land pasuka did not allow them to catch up with Shura. How could the southern land army not have a leader in the face of such a large enemy?

Kagome and Shiro did not say anything hearing Shura and Inuyasha's talk. Shura's decision was indeed quite risky, but, they had no other choice.

Shura stared for a moment at his broken sword. His sword was the nameless sword he had obtained long ago in the western lands. Although he had accompanied her for quite a long time, he did not feel the slightest loss, because he knew, sooner or later the sword would not be used anymore. Like his father's bakusaiga and Inuyasha's tessaiga, he hopes to find a sword that truly belongs to him someday.

Raising his head staring at the peak of the hare mountain that was not far in front of him, Shura then stepped his foot. "We're going to the top of the mountain."
