Chapter 79's

Kagome looked up at the night sky and smiled. The night wind that blows makes him feel comfortable even though a little cold. The sound of the crowd in the sakura garden of the southern land palace that still continued did not bother him at all.

"How about you accompany me for a drink, weird miko?" inukimi's voice suddenly sounded. The former ruler of the western lands then sat in front of Kagome. His golden eyes then looked at Miroku and Sango who were beside that future miko. "You two too."

Inukimi doesn't play card games anymore. Now he sat down gracefully with sake in his hand, trying to get the humans to drink again.

Kagome immediately shook her head. She no longer has headaches like this morning. "Thank you, Inukimi-san. But, I'll pass your invitation this time."

"We are too" added Miroku quickly. He laughed nervously at Sango. "All right, Sango?"

Sango nodded his head quickly. "We can't drink anymore, Inukimi-san."

The repulsion of Kagome, Miroku and Sango made Inukimi sigh. His golden eyes were then directed at Kira and Kiri who were not far from him. A smile spread across his face. "Kira, Left, you two ha—"

Inukimi's words were not resolved. Because, he suddenly felt something from within the middle of the sakura garden, the direction where Sesshoumaru, Rin, Akihiko and Inuyasha were.

Surprised, the former lord of the western lands immediately stood up. From within the middle of the garden, he could see a bright light emanating. Not wasting any time, he immediately made a huge fortune filling the park where the southern youkai were located.

There was no change, the southern youkai who were still late in their game were completely unaware of what Inukimi was doing.

Kagome, Miroku, Sango, Kira and Kiri who were in the fortune did not see any change. But, beyond wealth they do not know. Inukimi's serious face was definitely not something she could ignore.

Stepping forward, Inukimi then dashed out of the fortune, followed by Kagome, Miroku, Sango, Kira and Kiri.

The sound of explosions and destruction suddenly broke the silence of the night. Not wasting any time, Kagome and the others immediately ran towards the source of the commotion.

They could see some fallen tree trunks as well, the ground cracking and crumbling. However, getting closer to the source of the commotion, the sound of the fight suddenly came to a halt. Then, when they had reached their destination, overwhelming fear filled their hearts.

In the middle of the ruined garden, their eyes could clearly see the figures of Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha and Akihiko. In the arms of Sesshoumaru kneeling underground, Rin's blood-soaked figure lay unconscious.

Kagome stared fearfully at Rin who was lying unconscious in front of her. In her room in the southern earthen palace, above the futon, the human girl lay quietly motionless. The pink-colored silk kimono he wore was filled with red blood.

Rin's pretty face was deathly pale, her body was icy cold, and her heart rate was getting slower as if it would stop at any moment. But he also seemed to be asleep. His face was very calm and peaceful.

"What happened to Rin-chan?" ask Kagome. His two shaking hands touched the girl's hands, trying to check her condition.

Miroku, Sango, Kira and Kiri who heard Kagome's question turned their heads to Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha and Akihiko waiting for an answer. However, the three of them remained silent not knowing how to answer Kagome's question, as they did not know what had really happened to Rin.

"Meido seki." said Inukimi suddenly and made all who were there surprised and turned his head to the former ruler of the western land.

Inukimi does not care about everyone's views, she approaches Rin. Kneeling next to the human girl, he immediately opened the blood-filled kimono collar he was wearing.

"Inukimi-san, what's yan—" Kagome asked in surprise, but her question was not resolved when she saw what happened.

On top of Rin's chest, the blue stone meido seki pulled out dozens of small red pulse threads. The red pulse moved steadily and attached to Rin's skin, as if it were part of the human girl herself. Akihiko, Inuyasha and the others. Inukimi then turned her face and looked at Rin again. His hand moved slowly to touch the meido seki. However, as if there was wealth, his hand bounced backwards.

"Inukimi-san.." call Kagome slowly. Both of his eyes stared worriedly at the former lord of the western lands beside him.

"I'm fine," Inukimi replied softly. Slowly, he moved his hand back up the meido trying to touch it. "It's me, meido seki." he said slowly.

But, once again, Inukimi's hand bounced as if not allowing her to touch the meido seki.

"What is this, Mother?" asked Sesshoumaru confused. His golden eyes looked at Inukimi asking for an explanation. He had seen his biological mother have meido seki since childhood, and never had the heirloom of the youkai reacted like this.

Inukimi sighed. Slowly, his golden eyes were directed at Rin's face. "Meido likes Rin."

"Liking?" ask Kagome confused. He really doesn't understand Inukimi's words right now.

"Yes. Meido seki likes—no! Perhaps more than liking, this is precisely; meido seki loves Rin." Inukimi replied slowly.

Meido seki loves Rin? Kagome could not understand Inukimi's answer at all. "I don't understand Inukimi-san."

"What's up, Kagome??!" inuyasha asked shouting looking at his wife who was in Inukimi's arms. He could hear the clear voice of Kagome's scream just now.

However, Kagome did not answer Inuyasha's question. His eyes widened, staring at the place where Rin lay.

Following Kagome's gaze, Inuyasha's golden eyes fell apart, as did everything in the room right now.

Around the futon where Rin lay, the wall of wind, water, fire, earth, wood, and, the metal and lightning that did not know where it had suddenly appeared and revolved seemed to create a fortune to protect the human girl. The walls then come together, the blending together creates something beautiful yet at the same time terrifying.

Rin was already fine and far from danger. The girl was alive and could be seen. He must apologize tomorrow when the human girl comes to her senses.

With such thoughts in mind, Akihiko then turned her face forward again and stepped out of the room followed by Tsubasa.
