Sitting quietly folding her hands across her chest, Inuyasha looked at Kagome, Miroku, Sango and Kenji who were in front of her. His face was flat with no expression. Morning had arrived, a long night had passed the war was over, with victory on their side.
"Rin-chan's condition is fine, right?" ask Miroku to Kagome.
"Rin-chan is fine," Kagome replied quickly and smiled lightly. "However, he needs a break."
Sango who heard Kagome's reply could only recall what happened last night. A rampaging Youki Shura, Rin who cuts her own stomach and gives birth to her baby who is a—inuyoukai.
What happened next was also full of chaos. The calm shura after being born in Rin's arms, the fainted Rin, the Inukimi who was carrying Shura out and the Kagome who sewed Rin—'s bellyall of it will never be forgotten by Sango in his lifetime.
The door of their room suddenly opened, and everyone who saw Kohaku walked in slowly.
"How are things outside?" ask Kenji quickly. He knew Kohaku had just finished observing the state of the war that had ended.
"Neutral, south, east and north forces are retreating" Kohaku replied with a smile. The excitement was clearly on his face. "Kiri-san and Kira-san have also started to move the soldiers to gather the rest of the bodies of the western land youkai who died in the war."
"You're sure Sesshoumaru will bring them to life?" cut Inuyasha to Kenji. He still vividly remembered the monkey youkai's remark that Sesshoumaru would revive those who died with tensaiga.
"Your brother though it looks like it—he is a wise ruler. He knew what he had to do, Inuyasha," Kenji replied with a satisfied smile. "Moreover—kan I told you there; Rin-rin."
Inuyasha silently silently listened to Kenji's reply. Not asking any more, the inuanyou threw away his face and closed his eyes.
"Then, the rest of Shui's body was taken by Takeru, the ruler of the northern land," Kohaku continued again and sat down beside Sango. "But, as a whole, things are well under control."
The rest of Shui's body that Takeru brought was not surprising, because despite being a neutral land leader, the white-eyed youkai still belonged to the main family of the northern land lord.
"Good-good." Kenji laughed happily as he stroked his genitals. "War has been won, heirs have been born—we must celebrate later."
The word of the heir Kenji uttered made Inuyasha remember the small figure of Shura who growled with anger at him. Staring at Kagome and the others, he then asked, "Hey, someone can tell me, why could that little one be born an inuyoukai?"
Inuyasha's sudden question made all there turned his face on the inuanyou. But no one answered him, for the question was also in their hearts.
The union of youkai and humans is hanyou-it is the law of nature. But, why was Shura born as a true inuyoukai with the purest blood?
"Hmnn," Kenji's muttering voice suddenly rang out breaking the silence. "I think there's some possibility why Shura was born a pure-blooded inuyoukai."
Kenji's words immediately made Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango and Kohaku turn their faces to look at the monkey's youkai.
"The first possibility is—because Sesshoumaru's youkai blood is too strong. His youkanya blood managed to suppress Rin-rin's human blood."
Sesshoumaru was an extremely powerful inu daiyoukai, in fact, he was much stronger than his biological father, Inu No Taisho. Therefore, how strong the blood of his youkai— no one doubts it.
"Second," sighed, Kenji scratched his head. "Maybe because—meido seki."
The second possibility that Kenji spoke made Inuyasha and the others stunned.
"Meido seki is attached and becomes one with Rin-rin now. The possibility of him affecting Shura who was in the womb was huge."
Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango and Kohaku said nothing. They're trying to digest the possibility—possibility Kenji said.
"Then, third," slowly, Kenji's eyes looked seriously at Inuyasha and the others. "Perhaps because in essence, Rin-rin is not completely—human."
"Eh??"
"What???"
The shocked cry broke the silence of the room once Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango and Kohaku heard the third possibility that Kenji spoke. Their eyes widened staring in disbelief at the monkey youkai.
"Don't you guys think Rin-rin is weird?" kenji asked looking straight at Inuyasha and the others. "As an ordinary human being without spiritual power, he has never been afraid of youkai, and also he can adapt very well in the youkai world."
Kenji's questions make Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango and Kohaku think. Since long ago until now, Rin has never been seen as afraid of youkai as a man without spiritual power, and for the adaptation in the world of youkai— the human woman looks even more comfortable with youkai than with humans.
"Then, most importantly," continued Kenji again slowly. "Rin-rin can use—meido seki."
"Huh?"
"Do you think an ordinary human woman without spiritual power can use the heirlooms of the youkai of the western lands?—heirlooms that even the rulers of the western lands cannot fully use all this time."
Kenji's question once again left Inuyasha and the others stunned. The reason Rin could use Meido seki, they had never thought about it more deeply at all. They thought that the human woman could use it was because of the miracle—because she loved Meido seki as Inukimi said.
"So" Miroku said later. His face was still full of disbelief. "You think there's youkai blood flowing in Rin-chan's veins, Kenji-san? That's why he can do so many things that shouldn't be possible?"
Kenji nodded his head slowly. "I cannot investigate the genealogy of the Rin-rin family, because Rin-rin himself does not remember clearly his biological family anymore. But, the possibility of blood flowing in your veins is very high, which is why he is so different from everything in this world."
Inuyasha and the others did not know what to react to the information they heard.
"The blood of youkai from his ancestors who are hundreds or even thousands of years old—blood is passive but very dominant, and that blood is also what Rin-rin passed on to his son—Shura," call Kenji again and head back. "If yes, even if my assumption is true that Rin-rin has youkai blood, the possibility of Shura's birth as a pure-blooded true inuyoukai is only one in thousands of millions of births. So his birth was indeed a—miracle."
Miracle.
A human woman who can give birth to a true youkai and the existence of anomalies that go against the laws of nature, real wonders and lives.Who is the real miracle? Rin or Shura? Inuyasha and the others don't know anymore.
"That's all just my assumptions," Kenji laughed then as he rubbed his beard. The seriousness on his face disappeared replaced by ignorance as usual. He could see the effect that his words had produced just now. "Don't think too much."
Silently silent, Inuyasha and the others did not give any reaction to Kenji's laughter. They still keep thinking about the possibility of—the possibility that the monkey youkai said.
Rin's human blood won't make him hanyou. Shura will be born as a true Inuyoukai of high self-worth. Handsome, wise and strong, like you Sesshoumaru-sama.
The words that Rin had spoken were suddenly stirred in Kagome's memory, and along with that, it was, the shadow of a woman sitting with her eyes closed stroking her large belly full of affection flashed in the mind of—Rin who was praying to Kami-sama.
A smile then adorned Kagome's face. Nah! Kenji salah—ada fourth possibility why Shura was born as a true inuyoukai with pure blood.
"Kagome," called Inuyasha puzzled at the smile on Kagome's face. "Why are you smiling like this?"
Kagome did not reply, her smile instantly turned into laughter. The reason why Shura was born as a youkai may forever be an enigma, the answer also depends on the assumption that each person may be different. But, if someone asks him, then the future miko will answer—doa.
People say, a mother's prayer is the most mustajab prayer, the most sincere prayer in the world—doa that can penetrate the sky. Wh why? A mother's prayer is a prayer filled with love for her child. A love so great to immeasurable, an everlasting love that touches the sky—Rin's love for Shuralah created this miracle.
"It's okay, Inuyasha," Kagome smiled happily. Both of his eyes were full of happiness. "The reason why Shura was born as a true inuyoukai is not important—the most important thing is that both Rin-chan and Shura survived."
Kagome's words immediately stunned Inuyasha, Miroku, Sango, Kohaku and Kenji. What the future miko says is true, the reason why Shura was born as a true inuyoukai is not important, because the most important thing is that both mother and child survive.
A stunned expression immediately turned into a smile. Then the smile turned into a carefree laugh.
"You're right, Kagome," Sango laughed wide. Both of his eyes were happy. "There is no better news than Rin and Shura's salvation."
Miroku and Kohaku nodded their heads. Inuyasha did not say anything, he looked unconcerned, but his two golden eyes clearly agreed with Kagome's words.
"Alright," Kenji said, patting his leg. Standing up, excitedly, he then stepped out. "Today is a day worth celebrating—I will have everyone in the palace prepare sake and food to celebrate this happy day."

Sesshoumaru looked at Rin who was sleeping quietly on top of the big futon in their room in the eastern pavilion. Beside him, Inukimi was examining his kisak in silence.
Sesshoumaru already knew what happened to Kisakinya last night, about—the birth of their heavy son. The pain she felt in the war last night, the pain she did not know what pain it was, turned out to be the pain Rin struggled to give birth to Shura.
Slowly, Sesshoumaru's eyes descended on Shura who was sleeping quietly on her legs sitting cross-legged. Raising his right hand, he patted his son's head gently.
"You must no longer trouble your mother, Shura."
The still-asleep Shura moved and rubbed his head against Sesshoumaru's palm. Grunting quietly full of satisfaction, the western land heir continued to sleep.
Sesshoumaru smiled seeing Shura's reaction. How much like his son Rin, being able to sleep quietly no matter what.
"The company of little Rin, Sesshoumaru," Inukimi's soft voice suddenly sounded from beside Sesshoumaru. "He's fine, but he needs enough rest to recover."
Looking at Inukimi, Sesshoumaru found her mother smiling gently. "Make the ruler's duty to me—this week, accompany little Rin and Shura."
Sesshoumaru nodded his head slowly with Inukimi's words. He did not mind, in fact he was actually very grateful to you he wanted to spend time with his wife and child.
The smile on Inukimi's face only widened with Sesshoumaru's reaction. Staring for a moment at Shura who was still soundly asleep, she stroked her granddaughter's head gently affectionately for a moment.
Not saying anything more, Inukimi then stood up and walked out of the room quietly without making any sound. He did not want to disturb the peaceful sleep of his son-in-law and grandson.
After Inukimi's death, Sesshoumaru moved his hand to gently caress Rin's black hair. Staring at the peaceful sleeping face of his kisak, he thought; what was he dreaming about?
Is Rin dreaming of them?—himself and Shura. Dreaming of their wide-ranging future and filled with laughter smiles— the future of their happy little family.
"Tadaima, Rin," said Sesshoumaru slowly. "This Jesshoumaru and also Shura have already gone home.."
Moving slowly, Sesshoumaru's hand then gently stroked Rin's cheek. Looking at his closed eyes, he hoped they would open soon and smile at him.

Sitting alone in the endless darkness, Rin opened her eyes slowly. Taking a breath looking around, a smile then filled her pretty face.
"Rinku darling.."
The strange voice was heard calling out his name slowly. The smile on Rin's face immediately turned into a laugh— without even looking at him knowing who the owner of the voice was.
"Meido!!" looking back at his face, Rin saw a bright shining light not far from him.
Standing up, Rin immediately ran over to Meido Seki. Laughter does not disappear from his face beautiful laugh that is like the clink of a bell.
"Meido seki-sama, look!" opening both of his hands, Rin revealed his now flat stomach. "Shura was born!!"
Rin blushed shyly at Meido Seki's words, but the smile did not disappear from his face. Lifting up and staring at his hands, his eyes softened affectionately, as well as his voice. "Rin had embraced Shura with these two hands. He's very small, very, very small and—valuable."
Tears flowed down Rin's cheeks. He remembered the sensation that—feeling when he first touched and hugged Shura. Warm and small, alive and moving, his flesh blood and Sesshoumaru, the little baby in the form of a helpless little puppy—the miracle of his life.
Laughing, Rin wiped her tears and looked back at Meido Seki. "Rin was indeed unable to observe it carefully due to loss of consciousness, but Shura was really similar to Sesshoumaru-sama."
Meido Seki did not reply to Rin, but the human woman knew the ball of light was smiling.
"Shura will grow strong like Sesshoumaru-sama," Rin continued. His eyes sparkled with pride imagining the bright future of his son. "Shura will be the most powerful inuyoukai—Ah, no! Shura will be the most powerful youkai in this world. Nothing will beat him later."
Meido Seki laughed again at Rin's proud words. "Yes, you're right, my beloved Rinku" said the ball of light slowly. "So, your son will be the most powerful youkai in the world."
Rin nodded his head. Happiness filled his heart hearing Meido Seki praising Shura like that.
"You know, my beloved Rinku, I intend to give your son a gift" Meido continued and laughed again. "But I don't need any more. Your son is too amazing. As long as he's in your womb he's inherited my powers."
"Inherited?" ryn asked confusedly.
"Yes," Meido Seki replied softly, his voice very soft but full of pride, as if the child he praised was his own son. "He was born with unlimited possibilities that no one in the world could have imagined."
Rin does not fully understand Meido Seki's answer. But, as long as it would help and strengthen his son, he would be grateful.
"Therefore," flying near Rin, Meido seki stopped right in front of the human woman and shone warmly. "Calm down and don't worry anymore, dear Rinku. Shura, your son has the brightest future there is."
A wide smile as beautiful as spring filled Rin's beautiful face. His heart felt greatly relieved and also at peace hearing of Shura's future that would be brilliant. Nodding his head quickly, he then returned laughing. "Yes. Thank you, Meido Seki-sama."
Meido Seki did not return Rin's thanks. But, the human woman knew, the ball of light understood and accepted her thanks.
"Dear Rinku.." call Meido Seki again slowly. His voice strangely remained the same, only getting slower. "I want to tell you; your time moving on will soon reach its limit."
Meido Seki's sudden speech made Rin stunned. The smile on his face disappeared.
"I can't guide you any longer, dear Rinku," the words Meido Seki said quietly, but left Rin unable to move. "My— can't steal time for you anymore."
Rin lowered her head down. Meido Seki said he understood. His time would reach the limit, but the faces of Sesshoumaru and Shura were reflected in his mind.
"How much?" ask Rin slowly. Raising his head, he forced a smile on his face. "How much time does Rin still have, Meido Seki-sama?"
Meido Seki did not directly answer Rin's question. Silently silent for a while observing the human woman in front of him, he then sighed softly. "You're sticking to your stand to stay, my beloved Rinku?"
Rin laughed and nodded his head. His face was sad, but the smile did not disappear. "Yes. Rin decided to stay—always."
"You will suffer greatly, dear Rinku," Meido Seki's quiet voice again sounded filled with worry. "You are a soul that should not be in the world of life anymore. If you force yourself to stay, then you will continue to feel your soul and body being torn apart - a pain that is more painful than death itself."
Rin did not change the smile on his face in the slightest with Meido Seki's explanation of what he would go through in the future.
"Then, slowly, your soul will be eroded. You won't be able to reincarnate again your life will disappear without a trace."
Rin closed her eyes hearing Meido Seki's explanation. The consequences he would receive if he continued to live in a place where he should not be was not light. But—
'The present Sesshoumaru wants is to be with Rin forever.'
The birthday present that Sesshoumaru wanted as he asked, as well as the warmth of Shura's body in his arms—how could Rin leave them?
Opening his eyes, Rin looked gently at Meido Seki. "Rin will stay."
"My family.."
"Rin has promised to stay" Rin sidelines quickly with her soft, calm voice. His facial expression did not change one bit, a smile still adorned his beautiful face. "Rin will always be with Sesshoumaru-sama and Shura."
Meido Seki says nothing with Rin's words, stunned by the courage or perhaps the stupidity of the human woman in front of him—ah, no, stunned for; his love.
Sesshoumaru and Shura.
Meido Seki was envious of those two inuyoukai right now. Do you know how lucky they are? How weak and small human women love them?—love with all her soul, love until her existence disappears.
"I really envy the two of them, my beloved Rinku," Meido Seki said slowly later. He knew, no matter what he said, Rin would not change his decision. "Your love for them is the most beautiful love I've ever seen in thousands of millions of years of my life."
Rin laughed and blushed embarrassedly at Meido Seki's words. But, he didn't say anything more. His decision will never change, his everlasting love for the two inuyoukai he loves.
Meido seki then flew up. Shining very bright but warm, he said slowly. "Go home, my dear Rinku, those you love so much await your return.."
Rin nodded her head and closed her eyes. She also wants to wake up immediately from her subconscious this—she wants to see the faces of those she loves so much—Sesshoumaru and Shura.
Opening her eyes, Rin looks at the familiar ceiling and finds herself lying on top of a large futon. His whole body was very painful and not powered.
"Ri." The familiar voice called out his name. Looking to the side, Rin found Sesshoumaru staring at him.
"S-sesshoumaru-sama.." Reply Rin slowly. A smile filled her pale beautiful face.
"Tadaima, we've come home" said Sesshoumaru. His two golden eyes stared gently at his kisak. "This Jesshoumaru and Shura are home.."
Rin's smile widened to hear Sesshoumaru's words. Laughing, his eyes sparkling happily. "Okaeri, Sesshoumaru-sama.." Rin's gaze then fell on the figure of Shura who fell asleep in the lap of the Lord of the western lands. "Dwarf, Shura.."
Rin's eyes that were staring at Shura were filled with affection. Slowly, Sesshoumaru then raised the small body of his son and gave it to the human woman.
With trembling hands, Rin hugged and held Shura affectionately. "Shura.." call her softly and kiss her son's forehead. "Welcome to the world, Shura. Welcome to this world, my son, my son..."
Hearing the voice and smelling her biological mother, the sleeping Shura moved and secured the head on Rin's chest. His tail swayed slowly full of happiness in his sleep.
"Shura's.."
Rin smiled at Shura's behavior. Staring at his son, warmth and happiness filled the heart. This was the first time he had seen Shura intently. Not much different from the son in his memory before he lost consciousness shortly after giving birth to his extremely handsome—inuyoukai.
Shura's newly born body size does not long look as big as a one-month-old puppy. Hairy silvery white with a pair of stripes—dia is a copy of his biological father, Sesshoumaru, the ruler of the western lands.
"Shura's.."
His son's name is like the most beautiful spell in the world. Staring at the child he was born with, Rin kept mentioning the name Shura— engraving it in his existence.
Slowly, both of Shura's eyes were closed open—a pair of blood-red sclera with irises of brilliant blue. Looking at Rin, the two eyes did not move at all because they were stunned.
Shuras..."
The eyes that looked at him straight, his precious biological son. The smile on Rin's face only grew wider and wider, then unnoticed, tears were flowing down her cheeks.
Looking at Rin's tears, Shura moved her body, staring left-right and down, the small inuyoukai was confused.
"Sheena..."
Rin's smile only grew wider and wider. Lifting slowly Shura's body, she then lowered her head and placed her forehead on her son's dog's forehead. Both of his eyes were closed, the warmth channeled through the touch between them was unexplained.
Slowly, Shura moved back. Moving her head to the side, she stuck out her little tongue to lick the tears, as if asking her mother to stop shedding tears.
Surprised, Rin immediately opened her eyes, her tears instantly coming to a halt as she sensed what her son was doing. Then, her big brown eyes met Shura's eyes which were looking straight at her.
Suddenly, the smile turned into laughter. Recapturing the small inuyoukai back into his arms, Rin smiled happily. "I love you, Shura.."
Shura wagged her little tail. Closing his eyes, he let out a small voice and again secured himself in Rin's arms, anyone who saw could tell that the little inuyoukai was—happy.
Sesshoumaru did not move, seeing Rin who was crying happily and smiling hugging Shura, his heart felt very tight.
Sesshoumaru often imagined that Rin was pregnant; what would a human woman look like when she hugged their child? Beautiful?—today the question was answered; beautiful is unexplained.
The little girl he brought to life, the little girl who always followed him, smiled and laughed for him, the little girl who has now grown up and become his wife.
For Sesshoumaru, Rin will always be the most beautiful. Prettier than the moon, prettier than spring— there will be nothing that can match the beauty of this human woman in her heart.
"Sesshoumaru-sama," call Rin slowly. Looking at Sesshoumaru, he laughed again. His right hand moved slowly stroking Shura's head affectionately. "Shura's.."
Sesshoumaru smiled slightly looking at Rin's attitude. Since opening his eyes until now, how many times have his kisakinya mention the name of their son.
Moving, Sesshoumaru then closed his eyes and gently kissed Rin's forehead. Uniting their foreheads, his right hand gently touched the left cheek of the human woman.
"Rin," call Sesshounaru slowly. Opening her eyes, she stared gently at the pair of brown eyes that were staring back at her. "Thank you."
"Eh?" stunned, Rin looked at Sesshoumaru.
"Thank you for giving Shura to me, thank you for fighting, thank you for keeping your promise, thank you for having—live."
The most heartfelt thank you in his heart, Sesshoumaru paled it to Rin. Everything the human woman went through for the sake of their little family—she will never forget it for life.
Sesshoumaru's words of gratitude made tears flow down Rin's cheeks. Shaking her head, she smiled as beautiful as spring. "Rin should be grateful. Thank you, Sesshoumaru-sama. Thank you for giving Rin the opportunity to be the mother of Shura."
Saying thanks, tears of happiness flowing, and—the smile of spring etched everlasting in its existence. Sesshoumaru raised both hands and hugged, clutching Rin who was holding Shura.
Stifling happiness, happiness that even makes breathing difficult. Is that happiness? Sesshoumaru really knows and can touch it now, happiness is; Rin and Shura.
Rin laughed softly in Sesshoumaru's arms. His heart is warm and happy. The happiness he had most hoped for had now truly become a reality their small, perfect family.
Closing his eyes, Rin secures herself in Sesshoumaru's arms. The choice is not wrong, no matter how suffering and pain will be, he will always stay—by Sesshoumaru and Shura; for the happiness they finally get.
