Chapter 32's

The frightened look that Rin aimed at him, made Sesshoumaru stunned. In the time of his introduction to the human girl, those big brown eyes never looked at her full of fear. Even during their first meeting, when she growled with anger at the girl, she was surprised, not scared. Those eyes were always looking at him with innocence, adoration and also excitement—ful of warmth. There was a feeling of anger and dislike that suddenly surfaced in his heart, he did not want those eyes to look at him like he was right now.

Inukimi, who was not far from Sesshoumaru, suddenly leapt up to Rin, her hands tightly hugging the girl, while her mokomokonya moved around the small body, closing it from view. Both ends of his lips lifted up, revealing a terrifying grin. However, his attitude did not frighten Sesshoumaru, in fact, he grew even more angry.

Rin who knows nothing can only raise his hand to free himself from the mokomoko that envelops him. He is very confused, when he wakes up from his sleep, he finds himself alone in Inukimi's room. Then, as he stepped foot out of the room, he heard a very noisy voice from in front of the palace, and what he saw then was not something he thought he would see the battle— of Sesshoumaru and Inukimi never crossed the slightest in his kinship.

"Go and don't you dare take little Rin away from me." Inukimi's orders with a heavy tone.

The anger in Sesshoumaru's heart grew even more, though his face remained expressionless. There was a bit of confusion in his heart, though he immediately brushed it away. He had lived for centuries, and he had never felt this kind of feeling before. An unpleasant feeling, a feeling of anger that was completely different from the feeling of anger when his father handed Tensaiga over to Inuyasha, as well as the feeling of anger when Naraku tried to deceive him.

Staring at the figure of Rin covered by her mother's mokomoko, she growled with anger, intending to launch an attack Bakusaiga. However, he did not do that, because he knew Rin in Inukimi's arms would also accept the attack if he launched it.

Rin is indeed a human, a species of living things that he hates. But, everyone must have known, that girl is the only one special among all humans in this world. Rin was in his vision, Sesshoumaru, the heir to the western lands. Moreover, the little girl was a life she lived, protected and guarded. Rin is his subordinate—mikya. Hersiknya. He could not possibly let anyone judge something of his own at will.

"They're not, Mother-daughter. I'm very sure of that." Miroku said with complete confidence. She was completely unable to accept what she was seeing now, a mother-daughter fight that did not hesitate.

"They're youkai, Miroku," Sango explained as he stared at Miroku softly. "They are different from us. Moreover, the Inuyoukai are famous for being very possessive with what they claim to be his. Blood ties, brotherhood, children or parents, they don't really care about it."

"Something that doesn't matter" Inuyasha suddenly cut. His eyes did not care for Kagome and his friends who were staring at him, his two golden eyes were still staring at Sesshoumaru's figure, "That's youkai, especially youkai like Sesshoumaru."

Kagome just stared at her husband. Looking at him, there was a feeling of sadness that surfaced in his heart. In this world, only Sesshoumaru has a blood relationship with Inuyasha. However, their relationship is never good, always fighting and hating each other. In Sesshoumaru's eyes, Inuyasha was not his sister, his existence was something useless, insignificant. However, was in Inuyasha's eyes the existence of Sesshoumaru also like that? Could it be that in Inuyasha's deepest heart, he actually also had the desire to be familiar with Sesshoumaru? Establish a relationship like a brother.

"It's not the time to talk about all this" Kaede said suddenly. "Rin is between the two inuyoukai mothers. If we don't do something, his life will be in danger."

Kaede's words instantly made Inuyasha, Kagome and the others aware. What he said was indeed true, but, how did they stop those two inuyoukai? Wrong for a little bit, their lives will drift. In order to stop them, only a very strong person with extraordinary survival power could do that, and among them right now, there was only one person. Slowly, the eyes of all those who were there turned to look at Inuyasha who immediately jumped back. Although they did not say anything, he knew what was on his wife and friends' minds.

"No! I don't want to!" inuyasha protest was full of anger.

"Come on, Inuyasha," Kagome smiled. "Don't be like that. This is your job."

"No! It's not my job!" inuyasha shouted as he folded his hands on his chest and threw away his face.

"You are afraid of Sesshoumaru-sama, yes, Inuyasha-san?" ask Kohaku suddenly. He knew Inuyasha was seriously unwilling to stop the second fight of the inuyoukai ahead. However, he cannot allow it, Rin's life will be in danger, he must do something for Inuyasha to be willing to stop the fight.

As if understanding Kohaku's intentions, Miroku immediately connected. "Yes, Kohaku. Inuyasha must have been afraid, because after all, Inuyasha was indeed weaker than Sesshoumaru-san. Right, Sango?" he looked at his wife.

Sango immediately nodded his head while closing his eyes. She knows what her husband and sister are planning, and for Rin's sake, she decides to follow their plan.

"What are you saying!" inuyasha shouted with anger. "I'm not afraid of that son of a bitch! And I'm not weaker than him either!"

"Then show me! Show us that you are not weaker than Sesshoumaru-san." cut Miroku fast.

Inuyasha said nothing, he was stunned and cursed himself inwardly. What did he just say, why was he so stupid that he was stranded in a situation like this?

Looking at the unmoving Inuyasha, Kagome sighed. "Everyone, it looks like we have to find someone else. Inuyasha won't be able to do that, he is indeed weaker than big brother."

"I'm no weaker than that son of a bitch!" inuyasha shouted again full of anger. He could no longer restrain himself with the words of his wife and friends who thought he was weaker than Sesshoumaru. Pulling Tensaiga out of its sheath and running forward. "I'll show you all!"

Kagome, Miroku, Sango and Kohaku just stared at each other as Inuyasha ran away. A smile immediately flashed on Kagome's face. Thumbs up at her friends, she laughed. "Mission acomplite."

Inuyasha who ran up to Sesshoumaru and Inukimi could only go back to thinking, not knowing why, he felt that he had been framed by his wife and friends doing this task. However, he was unable to retract his words just now, his pride was not allowed. Pouting in annoyance, he then jumped into the middle of Sesshoumaru and Inukimi, standing firmly with Tensaiga in his original form in his hands. "Stop this all!"

Inuyasha's appearance did not make Sessoumaru's anger disappear, "Side, hanyou." he ordered in a low growl.

Inukimi, who sees Inuyasha, though never met before, soon realizes who is in front of her. Tensiga in hand, clothes from the skin of the fire rat, silver hair, golden eyes as well as a pair of ears of dog—which in front of him is undoubtedly the son of Taisho. At other times, he may be willing to talk and play with her. However, for now, he would not. His appearance was definitely not something good either. Following Sesshoumaru from the human village to his palace, he must have only one tujan, that is; bringing Rin back to the human village.

Powering his mokomokos, Inukimi immediately launched his assault on Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha. The two Inu brothers immediately jumped to avoid, however, the mokomoko did not let him. Quickly too, the mokomoko returned to chasing, attacking.

"What the fuck!" inuyasha shouted, his hand moving Tensaiga, trying to slash the mokomoko that attacked him. However, the mokomoko moved, shrouding the sword, rendering it unable to move. On the other hand, Sesshoumaru, who avoided the attack of his birth mother again growled with anger again. The mokomoko attacks leave him unable to get close and recapture Rin. He cannot attack as long as Rin is still behind the mokomoko.

Inuyasha who had started to get cornered and lost his temper suddenly shouted in anger. Raising the sword in hand, he gathered strength. His golden eyes were trying to find an air crack where he had to cut to launch the attack of the mainstay of Tensaiga. However, before he launched it, Sesshoumaru suddenly used Bakusaiga to attack him, only to jump backwards. "What the fuck are you assholes?" tanyakanya.

Sesshoumaru did not reply, he growled in anger. An idiot! Don't you know what he just wanted to do? Attacking his mother with Tensaiga while Rin was in his arms, did he want to kill Rin?

Sesshoumru's anger suddenly peaked. Those words reminded her of a very unpleasant feeling and dislike for her. A feeling of helplessness and fear as Rin died a second time before him. He did not want to feel that feeling anymore, therefore, if there was someone who intended to make him feel that, he would exterminate it. Not wasting any time, Sesshoumaru immediately stepped on his foot, swinging Bakusaiga to attack Inuyasha.

"Hey! What the fuck, asshole?!| shouted Inuyasha full of confusion mixed with anger. His hand quickly moved Tensaiga to resist Bakusaiga's attack. On the other hand, Inukimi who did not care about the two brothers in front of it again launched his mokomokonya to attack.

"It seems," Kagome said softly while laughing nervously. "To ask Inuyasha to stop the fight ahead is not the right choice."

Miroku, Sango, Kohaku and Kaede said nothing. But, they agreed with the future girl's remark. The fight in front of them did not stop, it even heated up. Now it was not two more people fighting, but three people, of whom the three were the strongest people they had ever met. Confusion quickly engulfed all of them, after Inuyasha was dragged into the fight, they did not know who else could stop the inuyoukai and also the hanyou in front.

"Stop.." someone's slow voice suddenly sounded.

Kagome, Miroku, Sango, Kohaku and Kaede were indeed unable to hear it, however, Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha and Inukimi who had keen sense of hearing, were clearly able to hear it well Rin's voice. Their sense of smell then smelled a salty smell in the air. Surprised, Inukimi immediately opened her mokomokonya that covered Rin's entire body.Eyes of all those there were stunned, including Sesshoumaru when she saw Rin who raised her hand shut her ear while crying.

"Stop! Stopit! Rin please, stop!" loud shouting.

"Little Rin, why are you crying?" inukimi asked, her hand immediately wiped away the tears, "Don't cry, My daughter. Mother will stop. Mother won't fight with those puppies anymore."

What Inukimi said instantly made everything there come back shocked. My daughter? Mother mothership? Then, those puppies? What is Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha? What the hell is going on? Except for Sesshoumaru, those questions kept turning in his head. The question was not in the slightest in his head now, as the tears that kept flowing down the cheeks of the little girl in front of him had grabbed his attention. When was the last time he saw those tears? During her time wandering with him, Rin never cried in front of her, always independent and strong at her young age no matter how hard life was. The first time he saw the tears on that face was at the moment he left it in the human village. And how much he hated himself when he heard the sound of crying, smelling the salty tears and watching it flow down.

"Rin doesn't want anyone to get hurt! Rin does not want Inuyasha-sama, Mother and Sesshoumaru-sama to get hurt" said Rin again, her brown eyes looking straight at Inukimi's face.

Raising his hand, Inukimi immediately hugged Rin. "Yes, it's okay. Calm down, little Rin, no one will get hurt."

Sesshoumaru could only stare at what was happening in front of him with an expressionless face, even though in his deepest heart, he was actually quite surprised by the words and attitudes of his mother. As an only child, he knew very well Inukimi's true attitude. There must be a plan hidden behind his attitude now. "What does all this mean, Mother?" tanyanya cold.

Inukimi remained unconcerned about Sesshoumaru, the inuyoukai kept trying to calm the weeping Rin by gently stroking the human girl's hair in his arms.

Inuyasaha, Kagome and the others stood looking at Inukimi's attitude. That inuyoukai attitude is now so tenderly compassionate. That attitude is undoubtedly a mother's affection for her child. But, why did Inukimi show that attitude to Rin? Not to the Sesshoumaru he was born to?

"J-promise?" rin asked as he kept his face away from Inukimi and looked at her.

Removing Rin's tears, Inukimi smiled gently. "Yes. Mother promise. No one will get hurt."

Inukimi's promise made the sadness on Rin's face disappear immediately. "Thank you, thank you, Mother." she laughed happily and hugged the inuyoukai again.

What happened in front was really something Sesshoumaru could not understand. His mother's attitude was clearly very different from what he had in mind. She knew that her mother had not lied with her promise just now, and then most importantly, she knew, too, that her mother would not hurt Rin, even if so, to say, now his mother will jump attack indiscriminately if anyone intends to hurt the girl. What really happened to her mother and Rin? That's a question he can't answer now.

But, for Sesshoumaru it was not important, because he still could not trust his mother. If he's honest, he can't trust anyone when it comes to Rin. Not to Jaken who was always left alone with Rin first, not to Kaede where he left Rin, not to Inuyasha, his wife and friends whom he ordered to look after Rin. As long as Rin tiggal is in the human village, he always keeps an eye on any youkai who approaches the village. He protected the village without anyone knowing. Inukimi's plan was a plan beyond Sesshoumaru's expectations. His mother who once revived Rin by himself predicted, it is impossible to attack, injure or kidnap the little girl. In this world, he can only trust someone when it comes to Rin, that is; himself.

"Rin," called Sesshoumaru suddenly with his emotionless flat voice and managed to grab the little girl's attention, "Come" he ordered later.

Sesshomaru's orders make Rin's body in Inukimi's arms move on its own. Without thinking a bit, since a long time ago, he would always follow the orders of his master. Looking at the emotionless handsome face in front of him, a wide smile was splashed on Rin's face. And finally! Finally they met again, after a few months apart! They finally met again even though the situation and current conditions are very confusing. Stepping on his feet, Rin immediately ran towards Sesshoumaru. Suddenly, Inukimi pulls Rin's hand and holds her back.

"Little Rin, my daughter," Inukimi said softly. "You can't go there, didn't you say you'd always be next to Mom?"

Inukimi's question makes Rin, Sesshoumaru and all those who are there again surprised for the umpteenth time. Gearing at Inukimi's face, a look of confusion filled Rin's face. Yes, he did say that; he will always be with Inukimi, whom he considers to be his own mother. Wanting to always be with Inukimi, was not a lie, but, he did not expect things to change like this.

"Can't!" kaede's shout suddenly shocked everyone there. Looking up at the old miko, they saw her walking up to Rin and stopping not far from Sesshoumaru when she saw that the inuyoukai was looking at her sharply. Swallowing, he again raised his voice out loud. "Rin is human. The world of humans and youkai is very different, the world where Rin lives should be the world of humans with us, not you."

The statement that Kaede revealed immediately made Inukimi growl with anger. The tang that was holding onto Rin became even tighter. However, the old miko did not care about him. He liked Rin, the little girl was really innocent. His innocence even scares him sometimes, in the eyes of humans and youkai it makes no difference, he has no idea how cruel and terrible the youkai really is. Now that he was a child, what would happen if he grew up? What will youkai do to him? wrong just a little bit, he will be a toy for youkai. Man in the middle of the youkai world, it was a mistake.

Raising his hand, Kaede reached out to Rin, "Come, Rin. We go back to the village. You're not someone who can live in a youkai world."

The confused Rin did not know what to say, turning his head to Inukimi and Kaede, he did not know what to do. Between humans and Youkai, is it time for him to choose?
