The western ground forces are advancing. Led by Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha, the western land youkai moved forward. The sounds of laughter and the creepy screams of youkai blaring filled the winter night sky.

Shui who saw the western ground troops moving did not move, as did Akihiko, Takeru and Asano. Not for the soldiers behind them. Lifting up the weapons, the silent combined forces ran past the ruler and their leader attacked.

The sound of an incredible explosion rang out filling the battlefield. The ground they stood on shook. The overwhelming impact of the two combined attacks brought some youkai on the combined forces to a standstill. Their eyes were wide, for hundreds of youkai perished in one swing.

Akihiko closed her eyes hearing Shui's words. Once again, the smiling face of a human woman flashed through his mind. Today had finally arrived, and he really could not retreat anymore.

Opening his eyes, Akihiko then ran forward while pulling out kazakiri no kiba. His sky blue eyes were directed at Sesshoumaru. If he can't back down, then he'll get this over with quickly. What will tomorrow look like?—he can only walk step by step later.

Along with Akihiko who was moving forward, all the southern land youkai warriors also moved forward. With weapons in hand, they followed their ruler joining the battle ahead.

Shui nodded his head slowly with a smile. His white eyes then followed Asano who was running and joined the battle at hand.

"You're not going forward, Shui-sama?" tsubasa's quiet and quiet voice sounded.

"No, yet" Shui laughed and turned his gaze to Tsubasa who was standing not far away from him. Only this youkai bird alone did not move in the slightest even though all the southern land youkai had advanced. "You didn't advance yourself, Tsubasa-san?"

Tsubasa looked at Shui in silence. However, a moment later, he turned his face to Akihiko who was about to face Sesshoumaru. "I don't want to be a fool."

Tsubasa will not participate in this war. He does not want to be a fool more than he is now. Help the man she loves to get another woman—Akihiko has no right to have her fight on this battlefield.

"Shoumaru!!" call Inuyasha hard. The Huanyou ran towards Takeru while swinging the tessaiga. "Give me the snake!!!"

Inuyasha clearly remembered the face of Takeru, the ruler of the northern lands. Inuanyou actually until now still has not forgotten what happened last year in the south-west war, namely; Takeru who tried to kill Shiro, Aya, Maya, Mamoru and also—Rin.

Sesshoumaru did not reply to Inuyasha. However, inuhanyou clearly knew, his half-brother understood his point, because the inuyoukai had now run with the bakusaiga in hand towards Akihiko. Koga stood alone to see everything that was happening. Behind Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, Akihiko and Takeru who were fighting, Asano and Akiko ran over. The two of them directly targeted Sesshoumaru as an opponent once they saw the inuyoukai against the ruler of the southern land.

"I'm your opponent, fox." said Kiri slowly. A smirking smile filled her beautiful face, her golden eyes gleaming happily as if finding her missing toy.

Asano who was at the back was quite surprised by the sudden appearance of Kiri, and yet conscious of his shock, the aura of a youkai shot with incredible speed beside him.

Asano immediately moved his spear to resist the opponent's attack in the form of two short swords. The feeling of surprise immediately turned into anger seeing the figure of a smiling inuyoukai grinning towards him.

"Why are you angry, Asano-san?" tanya Inuyoukai is none other than Kira. His golden eyes sparkling full of madness stared at the enemy in front. "Didn't you like this kind of attack the most? Suddenly, veiled and—cowardly."

Away from the battlefield, inside the north pavilion of the western land palace, Kagome, Sango and Inukimi sat in silence, with Rin sitting on a futon while singing softly.
