Chapter 103's

The fortune is spinning. The elemental walls of wind, water, fire, earth, wood, metal as well as lightning joined and revolved with Rin in the center. His body floated in the air, and he curled up that trembling body while hugging his stomach.

Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha and the others could see. This is the same wealth as the wealth they saw in the southern land palace–meido seki.

Fear and panic filled their hearts. How can meido seki return to show his strength? Did Rin use it? –demi protect the child in the womb. If that were true, then Rin's weak body would not be able to withstand the weight that was present.

"Rin!!"

"Rin-chan, stop!!"

The screaming voice calling out his name was not heard by Rin at all. In that wealth, he who was still frightened, closed his eyes and continued to hug his stomach. "Rin will protect you, Rin will protect you–Rin will be strong and protect you.."

The noise of the commotion made the residents of the western land palace realize something was wrong. Some of the palace soldiers ran over to the source of the commotion, including Kiri, Kira and also Jaken.

"What is this??" jaken shouted in surprise. He could clearly see Rin curling her body in wealth.

Left and Kira did not move. They knew this wealth, for they had seen it in the palace of the south. However, they do not understand why the wealth is active again.

"Shoumaru!!" the voice of Inukimi who called out her name loudly, immediately made the ruler of the western land turn his face to look at his biological mother.

Sesshoumaru's golden eyes then caught a sword that Inukimi had thrown. Once in the palace of the southern land, only he could get close to Rin who was in the fortune, and that was because he had from the sword blown meido seki–tensaiga power. With that sword he can approach Rin now.

Catching the tensaiga sword, Sesshoumaru moved forward towards Rin. However, a second later, he leapt back, as the fire element that turned into a whip, swiftly darted towards the ruler of the western lands attacking him.

Surprised, Inuyasha and the others did not understand. Why did the meido seki attack Sesshoumaru even though the tensaiga sword was already in the inuyoukai's hand?

Sesshoumaru who landed backwards, raised his face back to Rin's figure. He himself was also confused by what happened, why did meido seki reject him?

However, seeing Rin again, Sesshoumaru was aware of something. This wealth is similar but different from the wealth in the southern land palace. This caress was calmer, she did not attack blindly and destroy the surroundings. This treasury only attacks when someone approaches. Then, most importantly–Rin is still conscious.

Rin is still conscious despite looking very chaotic and unaware of her surroundings– the human woman did not lose consciousness like she did in the southern land palace.

"Ri." Sesshoumaru called out Rin's name very loudly. His voice was calm, but filled with pressure and also orders. "Sesshoumaru is commanding; stop this all!"

Sesshoumaru's voice has always had power in Rin. In chaos like anything, that inuyoukai voice will always be heard clearly by him–as well as this time.

Slowly, Rin lifted her face. With obvious fear, sadness, confusion and tears in sight, he looked at Sesshoumaru. "Didn't you want our son again, Sesshoumaru-sama?"

A very painful question, Sesshoumaru was unable to answer. If anyone asks, does he want the child, then–dia wants it. Really want it. The boy is proof of his love, his precious treasure–but, he can't have it.

"This Jesshoumaru can't lose Rin."

Sesshoumaru's reply left Rin stunned. A second later, he closed his eyes. Sesshoumaru's eyes had explained everything. Golden eyes that could not hide emotions from him.

Does Sesshoumaru want their child?–Rin know now, inuyoukai it wants their child. But–inuyoukai it does not want to lose him.

Fate forces the inuyoukai to choose between his son or a human woman named Rin– and the inuyoukai to choose a woman named Rin even though it must break his heart.

Sesshoumaru's choice, Rin understood now. Guilt filled his heart, fear inuyoukai it, despair–he did not see it out of fear. If he is in that position, if he is forced to choose, between their son and Sesshoumaru–what is his choice?–how painful is that.

Opening his eyes again, Rin then looked at his stomach. Winding her slowly, with teary eyes, she smiled. "Your father wants you, so be calm. You're loved.."

In a world like this, a world that is funny and never fair, Rin realized, he cannot dissolve. He has to fight, he has to fight. Such a miserable fate, he would change it. She's strong–isn't she now a mother?

Raising his face again at Sesshoumaru, Rin then laughed softly. "Sesshoumaru-sama," he called out slowly.

The choices, the decisions that exist, Rin knows, he will not let Sesshoumaru choose. Their son, his life– the future is there, it's all in his hands. She will not die, she will live, she will give birth to their child safely–Sesshoumaru will not lose her and their child together.

"In Rin's life, the one making the decision is Sesshoumaru-sama. But not this time. This time, the one making the decision is Rin."

Sesshoumaru's eyes widened to hear what Rin said.

"He will be born. Our son will be born and saved, so will Rin." Rin continued. Her tears stopped, she smiled, and her brown eyes shone full of determination and confidence. "The choice is–Rin choose our child and Rin himself together."

Not their son, not a human woman named Rin. The choice was wrong. Since the beginning of the choice did not exist, there is only one; the child and Rin together–Rin will prove it.

'You're a wonderful mother, my beloved Rinku..'

A soft voice that was no longer unfamiliar came back inside Rin's head. Simultaneously, the wealth surrounding him opened up. Slowly, he flew down towards Sesshoumaru who immediately caught him.

With both hands open, Rin laughed tightly hugging Sesshoumaru's body, burrowing his face into the inuyoukai's neck slit. "Rin and our son will not leave Sesshoumaru-sama," he murmured softly. "Don't Rin promise? Trust in Rin.."

Sesshoumaru did not say anything, he returned Rin's embrace not caring about all who were staring at them.

Rin's warm body, the smell of spring, the sound of bells clanking laughter, Sesshoumaru did not know what to do in the future. His chaotic feelings, all mixed into one. He could not act recklessly, what if this state of affairs happened again? What if his voice could not reach this human woman again?–only one was certain now; their child would not be able to be aborted.

"I heard, the white rat clan and the snow butterfly clan were destroyed because of the human attack," Takeru said as he brewed the tea slowly. His two green eyes then looked at Shui. "What do you think?"

Shui didn't answer Takeru's question. He smiled and ate the dango cake that was on their front desk.

"It's okay if you don't want to answer," Takeru laughed later. A big smile filled his face. "According to you, after those two weak clans, which clan will be the next target?"

Shui still did not reply, but the smile on her beautiful face widened.

"Neutral has many weak clans. You'll be busy soon," putting tea in your hands on the table in front of him, Takeru then laid his body on the tatami. "I'm not going to help you."

Shui laughed at Takeru's words. He looked at his cousin with his white eyes and shook his head. "I don't need your help, and the weak clan doesn't just exist in neutral alone."

"Yes, you're right," agreed Takeru. He was still lying on the tatami. Both of her green eyes stared at the ceiling of Shui's house which was in neutral territory. "You seem to really be able to read this situation well."

Shui smiled again, but he said nothing more. Slowly, the gentleman of neutrals looked his eyes out the window.

He's still waiting. Shui knew, it wasn't time yet, but, he also knew, the time he was waiting for -– something he was after would soon arrive.

"Kohaku???" call Sango surprised to see his younger brother walk into his room with Kirara. "Why are you here?"

"I should have asked you why you're all here, brother?" kohaku asked again in confusion. His eyes looked at Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku and the children who were sleeping quietly.

"Long if you want to tell." Miroku replied softly with a small smile on his face.

Kohaku could see, despite smiling, Miroku's facial expressions were not at all good, as were Inuyasha, Kagome and Sango. He was sure something had happened.

"You've come here to congratulate Rin-chan and Sesshoumaru, Kohaku?" ask Miroku later. "Has the news spread all over Japan?"

Miroku's question left Kohaku confused. "Observe?"

"Rin-chan is pregnant with Sesshoumaru-san's child," Sango explained looking at Kohaku in confusion. "You didn't come here because you heard this news?"

"What??? Rin is pregnant??" yelled Kohaku surprised. His two eyes widened in disbelief, he had not heard this information at all.

"A-I didn't know Rin was pregnant, " Kohaku replied a little stammered, trying to control his feelings of surprise. Rin will become a mother–the woman is getting farther and farther away. But, the young taijiya knew, it was not the time she thought like that. Look at everything in the breath. "I came because I wanted to convey information that there are humans who want to attack the west."

"Eh??"

"What??"

"Huh?"

"They're looking to die, huh?"

Shouted Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku and Sango were surprised to not care about the sleeping children, it was fortunate that they did not wake up.

"Can you explain it to us, Kohaku? What's in the human world now?" ask Kagome to panic.

"Outside now there is a rumor that Rin, the kisaki of the western lands as a greedy human woman who wants to rule all of Japan and make humans slaves of youkai."

"Eh? What rumor is this??" inuyasha and the others asked in confusion.

Kohaku sighed and continued his explanation. Their reaction was predictable. "Now, there are some high nobles who combine their power and the taijiyas, miko and priests to conquer the west and kill the kisaki of the western lands.

Kohaku's explanation left Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku and Sango speechless. They don't know what to say now.

Miroku then scratched his non-itchy head and laughed. "Do those nobles want to annihilate the human race of this world?"

Miroku's words sounded like a joke, but not to Inuyasha, Kagome and Sango who heard. What the monk said was true, if humans really dared to come to the west and draw a sword to kill Rin– under the current condition of Sesshoumaru, humans would really soon become extinct. What was in the minds of those nobles? Do they think their combined forces can conquer the west?

"We have to stop this before it's too late." Sango sighed. The already chaotic circumstances only grew chaotic, he was completely confused and tired of this all now.

"Yes, you're right, Sango." agreed Kagome sambit to massage his painful head. "We have to stop this. In his current condition, if brother finds out, he will be very miserable."

"I am still joined in the alliance of the priests and miko, I will go and talk to them," Miroku said and sighed. He then looked at Sango. "Sango, I need you to go to the village looking for Kaeda-san. He can help, too."

Sango nodded his head. Slowly, Miroku looked back at Kohaku. "Kohaku, for the taijiyas, you can take care of it, right?

"Give it to me." Reply Kohaku quickly.

"And–what should I do?" sela Inuyasha who from earlier was silent and made the eyes of everyone in the room immediately turned to look at her.

"Kagome is unlikely to leave the western land palace due to Rin-chan's condition," Miroku replied with a smile. "So, all you have to do is accompany her while looking after the kids."

"What???" inuyasha shouted in disbelief at the task he got. He immediately pulled the collar of Miroku's robe and wiggled his body. "I'm not a babysitter!! I'll go with you!!"

Miroku just laughed with Inuyasha's attitude. But he didn't change his decision. How could he bring a hanyou to the alias of the priests and miko?

"Miroku-san, you said Rin's condition earlier," Kohaku's voice came back. His black eyes looked back at everything in the room, there was worry on his face. "What's wrong with Rin?"

"Kohaku-kun?" call Rin in surprise when he sees Kohaku entering his room and Sesshoumaru. A moment later, a smile immediately filled his pale face. "When did Kohaku arrive?"

"I-I just arrived, Rin." Kohaku stammered and forced a smile. Surprise filled the entire recesses of his heart seeing Rin's condition now. The woman was extremely pale with obvious fatigue.

Kohaku's gaze then fell on the figure of Sesshoumaru sitting behind the kisaki on the west ground. With a tiny back resting on his chest, and both hands tightly hugging Rin's enlarged belly–inuyoukai was silently staring at him.

"Sesshoumaru-sama." Kohaku bowed in salute to the ruler of the western lands.

Kohaku did not dare to look into those inuyoukai eyes right now. The eyes were calm, but also filled with unusual emotions. Moreover, the aura he emitted–the ruler of the western land was terrifying now.

"Sit on Kohaku-kun." Rin's laughter was slow. He did not care for the slightest bit of Sesshoumaru who was behind him.

Kohaku nodded his head and then sat staring at the ruler of the western lands and his kisaki. His eyes then fell on Rin's stomach which was already enlarged. Forcing a smile, the young taijiya tried to melt the atmosphere. "Your stomach has grown up Rin, how many months has it been?"

Rin laughed at Kohaku's question. Raising his hand and showing the number two he smiled. "Two months."

"Eh?" Kohaku was stunned to hear Rin's answer. "Two months?"

Rin nodded his head with a big smile on his face. "Yes, two months."

Kohaku doesn't know what to say hearing Rin's answer. She knows hanyou's pregnancy is different, but the woman's stomach in front of her now, her womb–not normal. Hanyou pregnancy is different from human pregnancy. Generally, in a human pregnancy, the mother's stomach will enlarge when entering the four-month womb, in contrast to the hanyou pregnancy, which only takes three months. But for Rin– two months?

Sesshoumaru did not say anything. He was silent, yet he knew what Kohaku had in mind.

Rin's pregnancy was not normal. Anyone who sees it can know. A week had passed since the day Rin used the power of the seki meido, and within a week her stomach had also enlarged at an unusual speed. However, the most surprising and confusing thing is that both Jinenji, Kagome and Inukimi who checked could not find the existence of the child in the womb again.

All who saw knew, the boy was in Rin's womb. However, while examining the human woman's pulse, they could not feel her existence, as if the child; it disappeared.

No one knew the cause, fear and confusion filled them. But not for Rin. The human woman calmly continues to convince them all that her pregnancy is okay–anak in her womb is healthy.

Then, although Rin's health condition also did not improve, his spirit and optimistic attitude to face everything was extraordinary. He didn't look scared in the least.

Sesshoumaru was the one who was most affected by all the circumstances. The Inuyoukai was as usual, never leaving Rin, she would always be together and hug the woman tightly. But, the calmness and aura it emitted would make anyone who saw it depressed and frightened.

"That's it?" the laughter of Kohaku later. He doesn't understand any more of this. Before entering this room, both Kagome, Sango and Miroku had explained Rin's weakened and pregnant condition, but, he had not expected the content to be abnormal either.

Silently, Kohaku did not know what to say anymore. Silence immediately filled the room and made the atmosphere very awkward.

"If there is no more business," the flat and heavy voice of Sesshoumaru from earlier silently sounded breaking the silence. "Get out."

"Sesshoumaru-sama.." call Rin slowly and raise your face upwards staring at that inuyoukai face. "Don't be like that.."

But Kohaku immediately stood up and laughed nervously. "Yes, I understand," he then looked back at Rin. "Have enough rest, Rin. I won't bother you with rest anymore."

Rin looked back at Kohaku and shook his head. "I don't bother Rin.."

"I still have business to do with my Brother and Miroku-san, Rin, " obviously Kohaku scratched his head and smiled. "I'll excuse you."

Rin can't say anything more hearing Kohaku's explanation. He could only smile seeing the young taijiya saluting Sesshoumaru and then walking out.

Rin then set his eyes back on Sesshoumaru as they stayed alone together in the room. Sighing, he raised his right hand to touch the handsome face of the inuyoukai who was also staring at him.

"Sesshoumaru-sama.." call Rin slowly. His fingers moved down Sesshoumaru's soft cheeks.

An expressionless handsome face with a monstrous aura, that inuyoukai still looked extremely chaotic. In the golden eyes in front of him, Rin could no longer find the usual calmness.

"We're okay.. Don't worry.."

Sesshoumaru did not reply to Rin's words. Raising his right hand, he caught Rin's hand and kissed her gently.

Don'worry? For the first time, Sesshoumaru felt Rin was a very selfish woman. This woman did not want to hear the words of all that was, she remained firm in her stance to keep the child in her womb. Then, now–dia asked him not to worry? How could he do that? Really, Rin is the most selfish woman there is..
