Chapter 76's

"Ughh, my head still hurts." Miroku grumbled while twitching his aching head.

"We should not drink anymore today" Sango added, closing his eyes because of the dizziness and nausea he felt.

"It's just like this that you two have given up" Inukimi who was beside the two of them frowned. "Who will accompany me for a drink tonight?"

Miroku and Sango shook their heads in desperation at Inukimi's question. The two of them really saluted and knelt down with the ability to drink the former lord of the western land, after drinking that much, he was still mediocre.

Looking at his face, Inukimi's golden eyes could see most of the youkai still asleep, and some were eating or enjoying the morning sun peacefully.

Then, the eyes of the former ruler of the western land then fell on the figure of Inuyasha who sat down while kneeling Kagome's head lying on his legs. Smile on the beautiful face of that inuyoukai. "Taisho Son, you didn't drink at all last night. Tonight, you and the weird miko should accompany me for a drink."

"No!" tepis Inuyasha fast. He threw away his face and folded both hands on his chest. "Me and Kagome won't do that."

"Ugh," muttered Kagome quietly. Rising from his lying position, he opened his eyes looking at Inukimi with a small smile. "I won't be able to drink anymore, Inukimi-san. I think you can find another one."

"Ahhh," Inukimi sighed softly. The smile on his face disappeared. "Did I just take Kira, Kiri and Sesshoumaru, huh? Or I'll take Rin-small."

"Don't get Rin to have a drinking match like that!" inuysha protest is upset. "He's a little boy!"

Inukimi paid no heed to Inuyasha's protests. However, mentioning Rin's name, he soon realized that the girl was still not present in this cherry blossom garden, even though the sun was shining above the sky.

"Right, I haven't seen little Rin since last night. Is he still in his room, huh?" ask Inukimi quietly. Rise up, he stepped slowly. "I'll look for him."

Seeing Inukimi walking away, Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku and Sango decide to follow the inuyoukai. Although the three humans still felt nauseous and dizzy, they still dragged their feet towards Rin's room. They couldn't possibly rest in peace before confirming the state of the human girl.

Arriving at Rin's room, the first thing Inuyasha and the others saw was the figure of Kira and Kiri sitting quietly guarding the room door. As usual, their faces were calm with no expression.

"Inchemical-sama." Kira and Kiri immediately gave greetings seeing Inukimi and the others.

However, Inukimi did not retaliate. He stood upright, his two golden eyes wide staring at the closed door of the room, as well as Inuyasha. While Kagome, Miroku and Sango were just staring at their confused bedua.

"Bad!!" yelled Inuyasha annoyed all of a sudden. Anger instantly filled his heart. However, Inukimi who was beside him laughed happily. Running fast, the former lord of the western lands immediately moved towards the door of the room.

Kira and Kiri moved quickly, the two bodyguards immediately stood up to stop Inukimi who was staring at them happily.

"Shoppers!!!" yell Inuyasha again. He ran fast towards the door just like Inukimi. Moving his right hand, he attacked Kira, though it was easy for the inuyoukai to dodge and hit back.

Jumping backwards, Inuyasha stared in anger at Kira and Kiri. "Let us in, damn it!!"

Kagome, Miroku and Sango who had no idea what was happening stared at the puzzled what was happening in front of them. Inuyasha and Inukimi's reaction really left them not knowing what was going on.

"Let them."

The flat and heavy voice of a man suddenly rang out and broke the commotion that existed from inside Rin's room.

The eyes of Kagome, Miroku and Sango were wide in disbelief as soon as they heard the voice. The dizziness and nausea they felt instantly disappeared replaced by surprise. That voice was clearly a Sesshoumaru-voice. How could that inuyoukai be in Rin's room?!

Not wasting any more time, Inukimi laughed again. Stepping forward again, Kira and Kiri paved the way for the former ruler of the western land. With both hands, the daiyoukai then opened the wide door of the room, making everything there could see what the contents of the room were.

Inside the room, in front of the open window, the morning sunlight shone on the two figures that were on top of the futon. An inuyoukai sits quietly with a slumbering human girl next to him. The girl's head is not a pillow, but the feet of the youkai. Then, without a blanket moko-moko inuyoukai it enveloped the tiny body of the girl keeping it warm.

Kagome's mouth, Miroku and Sango open great disbelief. Are they still drunk? Or is this a dream?—s figure on top of the futon is Sesshoumaru and Rin, right?

"Shoppers!!!" yell Inuyasha again. Anger filled his heart. "Understand now?? So this is what you meant last night?? Stealing into a girl's room at night while she sleeps??!"

Rin who was still asleep frowned and moved a little because of the commotion. However, gently, Sesshoumaru's right hand immediately gently stroked the girl's head. Meanwhile, his moko moved slowly around the tiny body in softness and quiet sleep.

"Diminish your voice. Rin's still sleeping." Sesshoumaru's orders are slow. But, his eyes were completely unguided to Inuyasha. The pair of golden eyes continued to look gently at Rin who was now smiling in her sleep.

"I'm dreaming.. I must be dreaming." Kagome muttered as she shook her head. The scene in front of him was an impossible one. How could Sesshoumaru be so gentle like this to Rin in front of everyone?

Raising his hand, Sango pinched Miroku's cheek which immediately cried out in pain. "What is this, Sango?" the monk asked confusedly.

"Not a dream." Sango muttered not caring for Miroku in the least. Both of his eyes were still staring at Sesshoumaru and Rin.

"Shoumaru!! You!!" inuyasha shouted unconcernedly. He still raised his voice full of annoyance. However, a single word 'osuwari' that suddenly shot out from Kagome's mouth instantly pressed him downwards.

"K-Kagome!!" yell Inuyasha again.

"Osuwari, osuwari, osuwari, osuwari." Kagome muttered continuously, not caring about Inuyasha who could no longer move on the ground due to the visible gravitational pressure of the eyes in succession. Smiling widely, the future miko then looked at Sesshoumaru. "I'm sorry Inuyasha, Brother. We won't bother you anymore, Rin seems to still need a break."

Sesshoumaru said nothing to Kagome. He still looked at Rin motionlessly.

"Good! Nice work!" puji Inukimi laughed happily. Looking at Sesshoumaru, he smiled in satisfaction. "I won't bother you anymore, my son. We'll go back to the park, take good care of Rin."

Not waiting for Sesshoumaru's reply as well, Inukimi then closed the door of the room that was opened wide. Reversing his body, he walked towards Inuyasha and the others. Kagome nodded in agreement, as did Sango. To Miroku, he could only sigh. He realized now, the combination of Kagome, Sango and Inukimi was a very terrible combination.

"Sake! Sakes! We should celebrate what we saw with sake again!!" the sound of Inukimi's happy laughter filled the garden outside Rin's room.

Sesshoumaru who was in the room could hear and feel Inuyasha and the others away. He could clearly see Inukimi's happy expression and surprised Inuyasha as well as his friend. But he doesn't care. He had already decided not to hesitate and hide it again what Rin meant to him.

"Sesshoumaru-sama.." Rin's soft voice calling her name sounded. Sesshoumaru could see the smile on the girl's face widening. The girl was dreaming about it - there was a warm feeling enveloping her heart.

Last night, as she hugged and kissed Rin on the forehead. The body of the girl pecked in surprise, and without saying anything more, she continued to hug him. Not knowing when, the girl fell asleep with a happy smile on her face.

Slowly, Sesshoumaru's hand came down touching Rin's cheek. Closing his eyes, he bowed and kissed the human girl's forehead. "Please wait a minute, Rin. This Sesshoumaru will give you everything you deserve..."

"These queues are all on Rin." Akihiko ordered with a smile. His two sky blue eyes stared at the top quality silk kimonos and the gold gems in front of him were full of satisfaction. He imagined just how excited the human girl would be with this gift.

"Well, Akihiko-sama." Replied a youkai, the head lady of the southern land palace while saluting. So did the five youkai ladies in the palace behind him.

"And, I want you to help her prepare for tonight's show." Akihiko again.

"understand." Answer the ladies simultaneously. Not wasting time, they immediately moved to lift the kimono-kimono as well as the jewel amas that was in front of Akihiko.

The eyes of the ladies glistened with admiration. Kimono and gold gems in their hands were truly items of the highest quality and also a step. Gifting this all to a human girl who is served as a guest of honor— seems like, the south who will welcome a Kisaki is indeed right.

Tsubasa who was beside Akihiko did not say anything. Both of his red eyes stared at the southern land lord was flat, but deep down, he wanted to laugh and also at once—sak.

Laughing at the stupidity of Akihiko who still hasn't given up and thinks he can win the human girl's heart. Sick because the youkai he loves likes other people.

"S-sesshoumaru-sama.." stammered, Rin called out the name Sesshoumaru, however, she also did not know what to say.

Sesshoumaru did not say anything, recklessly, his right hand raised touching Rin's right cheek gently. "Rin.."

Rin nodded his head quickly. Not knowing what else to do, he lowered his face down. The warm hand on his cheek resuscitated him, this was all not a dream.

Sesshoumaru's hand on Rin's cheek then moved down the human girl's chin. Slowly, inuyoukai raised that pretty face.

Her shining golden eyes gently looked at Rin's face. With a beautiful red face, a look of surprise and shame mixed into one, then a pair of clear brown eyes that looked at her straight—slowly, both ends of Sesshoumaru lifted up, forming a soft smile sulas.

Sesshoumaru was always flat-faced with no expression. Sometimes he could have an angry face or laugh before slaughtering his enemies. Then, sometimes too, Rin could see the gentleness on the face of the inuyoukai who had the name of life-destroying while looking at him.

But, that gentle expression was simply nothing compared to the expression he was seeing right now. In front of him, the inuyoukai was smiling— smiling gently at him.

Rin felt the world was at a standstill. That gentle smile, he found no words to describe it. Unable to think, he could only stare at the smile on that handsome face like a fool.

Slowly, Sesshoumaru's hand left Rin's chin. But, with a smile still present, he got up and walked towards the exit of the human girl's room.

"Don't forget to eat breakfast, Rin." said Sesshoumaru slowly before disappearing from Rin's sight.

Closing his face with both hands, Rin was eager to hide in the hole now. After all this, with what expression did he have to deal with that inuyoukai? Can he still behave as usual? What is really going on now??

Rin didn't even dare to step foot out of the room, but she knew Hanami was still going on. He's never felt like this before.

"Rin-sama." the voice of a woman's call suddenly sounded. "Hamba Fumi is facing you."

Surprised, with a face still red, Rin immediately turned his head to the closed door. "Please."

Rin's bedroom door opened, along with Kira Kiri who walked in and segea standing behind him, rin's brown eyes were puzzled to find the six western palace maids bowing in salute with kimonos and gold gems in hand.

"Th-this?" rin asked stammeredly looking at the ladies.

"Akihiko-sama asked us to deliver this gift to you, Rin-sama." Fumi answered, the head of the lady who is at the front. He smiled kindly looking at the human girl.

"Eh??" astounded. Rin's eyes were wide. She could clearly see that kimono and gold gems were priceless items, why did Akihiko present all of these to her?

"We will all also help you prepare for your show tonight, Rin-sama." Fumi continued again full of courtesy. The smile on his face became wider.

"Eh??" rin again in surprise. What's up with today? Why is Akihiko also acting so strange like this??

"Pay!!" inukimi shouted happily, her voice echoing filled the sakura tamn of the southern land palace. His hand held up a bottle of sake, around him, some southern youkai also took up their bottles of sake while laughing.

The night had arrived again, and the party that still continued was crowded again. Food, drinks are endlessly served, the stage of silent entertainment is also back full of music and dance. These youkai seem to now consider it a night to party and a day to sleep.

"You don't eat, Inuyasha? Don't blame us if you don't get away with it." said Miroku, whose mouth was full of food, who saw Inuyasha beside him.

Kagome's words immediately made Inuyasha turn his head to look at his wife and best friend. "You guys, why would you just let this jerk be alone with Rin in his room like this? Aren't you guys worried about him?"

Inuyasha's question instantly made Kagome, Miroku and Sango turn to look at the innuanyou simultaneously. A second later the three of them laughed together.

"Sister won't do anything to Rin-chan, Inuyasha." Laughter Kagome hard.

"You're right, Kagome," Sango agreed with a laugh as well. "High self-worth Jesshoumaru will not do something that will tarnish his reputation, Inuyasha."

"Sesshoumaru can't hurt Rin-chan, Inuyasha. So calm down." added Miroku while patting Inuyasha's shoulder many times. A big smile adorned his face.

Inuyasha looked at the puzzled three humans in front of him. Yesterday Akihiko and now Sesshoumaru, is it in their view that the two daiyoukai lords of the land of Japan are harmless youkai?—lupakah them, that the two rulers are bloodthirsty youkai of human haters?

"But, I can't believe Sesshoumaru dared to behave like that in front of all of us." Sango's smile reflected on the incident this morning. "He really changed."

Inuyasha again threw his face at Kagome and Sango's words. The feeling of dislike in his heart grew bigger, even though he remained silent.

"Kagome!!" call out someone's voice excitedly suddenly.

Inuyasha reflexively stood up. He knows well the voice, who else if not—Koga. His golden eyes instantly stared full of aggravation at the wolf youkai that walked up to them.

"Do you want a skinny wolf?!!" inuyasha shouted.

Koga doesn't care. He immediately sat down in front of Kagome and smiled. "Did you miss me, Kagome? Sorry I just showed up now."

Kagome only laughed with Koga's temptation and Inuyasha's protest, she was already too used to this kind of situation. Smiling, the future miko asked. "Are you busy Koga?"

Kagome's question immediately made the smile on Koga's face disappear. He grumbled slowly. "Yes, I'm busy.."

"Kira-san, Kiri-san," said Kagome looking at the two inuyoukai. "Where's rin-chan?"

"The one who will do the next show is Rin-sama" replied Kiri without turning her face away.

"My daughter??" inukimi asked who was still drinking sake all of a sudden. He immediately left the southern youkai and sat on the Left. His face was happily staring at the stage. "My daughter finally showed up!!"

Slowly, from the stage, the figure of a human girl appeared. The unique smell of spring meets the sense of smell of youkai. All pairs of eyes immediately directed at the stage, as soon as silence filled the noisy garden.

The moon above shone on the human girl. Sitting alone with a shamisen in hand - he seizes the view of all that is.

She was wearing a luxurious and beautiful twelve-layer kimono. Her long black hair was draped framing her pretty face. White skin like snow, blushing cheeks and lips like a red rose and a pair of big clear brown eyes.

The human girl had always been beautiful, but for now, with the moon in the sky and sakura in the back, her beauty was even more radiant. The moon and flowers lose—he's like an illusion captured by the eye.

All fascinated. The western youkai crowned her as the most beautiful woman the world has ever seen, now the southern youkai understood, the word is true, Rin, Hime from the west is indeed the most beautiful woman in the world.

Rin who was on stage could see all the pairs of eyes that were under the stage directed at him. Nervousness instantly filled his heart, he wished that he had not made a mistake that would embarrass himself.

Sesshoumaru sat quietly, his face flat as expressionless as ever. Directing his gaze onto the stage, he looked at the illusory human girl.

Gold and chocolate are together.

In the silence of the night, within the blossoming sakura garden, despite being separated by a distance, the brown eyes of the human girl could see a pair of golden eyes that were staring at her gently.

Slowly, the tip of the girl's lips lifted, painting a smile more beautiful than a flower—the smile of eternal spring in that inuyoukai heart.

In that instant, the girl's hand moved. The beautiful sound of shamisen filled the garden.
