The weather and the warm spring sunshine illuminate Rin in the garden of the east pavilion of the western earth palace. His body bent down and his fingers planting flowers halted for a moment as he saw a butterfly flying past his face. Smiling widely, he raised his head and looked at the terrace behind him. "Sesshoumaru-sama, look at me.."

The cheerful voice as well as the smile on Rin's beautiful face came to a halt as her brown eyes stared at the emptiness of the porch of the eastern pavilion of the western earthen palace. No more inuyoukai figures that usually sit there.

Turning his gaze to his finger that planted the flower seedlings, he chuckled. "Finished planting flowers, Rin should water them immediately."

Singing softly, Rin resumed her activities of planting flowers. Spring has arrived, the snow has melted all, he must immediately plant flowers so that this garden can be more beautiful than last year.

Slowly, Sesshoumaru turned his head staring out the window of his study. The warm spring sun had replaced the moon above the sky. Her keen sense of smell could clearly smell the smell of spring carried by the wind—bau which was almost similar to the smell of the human girl; Rin.

Closing his eyes, Sesshoumaru pointed his face back at his empty room. From winter to spring arrived, how long had he been avoiding the human girl?—he didn't dare to think about it.

The distance he made, did he succeed? Sesshoumaru felt like a fool when he thought of that. Every morning until night he would avoid Rin and lock himself in his study. However, late at night, when the girl was already asleep, she would enter her room. Sitting beside looked in silence, without daring to touch her.

"Mother, what's wrong?" rinn asked again in confusion. He really did not understand the direction of the conversation from Inukimi who had suddenly walked into his room a few minutes ago.

The sound of screaming from outside Rin's room suddenly cuts through Inukimi's words. Instantly the door of the room opened, and Jaken ran in with a face full of panic.

"Rin! Gawat seka—" Jaken's shout instantly stopped as his eyes caught Inukimi's figure looking at him full of anger. His panicked face turned into fear, and his body trembled violently.

Rin's question makes Jaken even paler. Staring timidly at Inukimi who was silent, he opened his mouth to answer the question slowly, "East wants to marry Akiko, the daughter of the ruler of the eastern lands to Sesshoumaru-sama, and Sesshoumaru-sama until now does not refuse it."

"What do you say little youkai!!!!" inukimi's screams instantly filled the room.

Sesshoumaru stared at the letter on his desk in silence. His face was calm with no expression, but deep in his heart, he was considering the contents of the letter.

Sesshoumaru's golden eyes stared clearly at Inukimi's figure who was running in with blood-red eyes full of anger.

Not saying anything, Inukimi who arrived in front of Sesshoumaru immediately threw the table in front of his son behind.

Scrolls of documents and letters were scattered everywhere. The wooden table fell backwards, cracking and crumbling as it touched the tatami underneath.

Sesshoumaru remained calm looking at Inukimi, neither moving nor reacting to the anger of the inuyoukai that gave birth to her.

"Why don't you rip that letter from the east?! I didn't give birth to you to have a fox as the Queen of the West!!" inukimi shouted in a high tone full of anger.

Sesshoumaru remained unmoved. Inukimi, who quickly learned the contents of the letter, was undoubtedly because of Jaken who could not keep his mouth.

"Don't shut up, son of a bitch!!" Inukimi grew angrier, her lips lifted up grinning revealing her sharp fangs.

"It's none of your business, Mother." Sesshoumaru flat. His two golden eyes stared back at Inukimi's eyes expressionlessly.

Inukimi did not say anything more, but her right hand began to raise to attack Sesshoumaru.

"You're getting married, Sesshoumaru-sama?" the quiet sound like the clanking of bells suddenly broke the tension in the work space of the western land lord.

Simultaneously, Sesshoumaru and Inukimi expressed their views on the source of the sound. Their eyes caught the figure of Rin standing in front of the open door without daring to step in.

"Sesshoumaru-sama, will you get married, will you?" reiterate Rin again. There was no laughter or smile on his face, his two large brown eyes staring straight at Sesshoumaru waiting for a reply.

Those eyes, how long had Sesshoumaru not seen. And a soft voice was like the clang of a bell calling out his name, how much he wanted to always hear it.

But, it was all wrong, Sesshoumaru knew he could not let this mistake continue. Clenching tightly to his fingers, Sesshoumaru looked at Rin's clear brown eyes and answered briefly. "Yes." Yeah."

The short answer in a flat voice made Rin's eyes widen in surprise. He immediately lowered his face down, avoiding the gaze of those pair of golden eyes.

Sesshoumaru did not move looking at Rin's reaction. The tightly clenched hand grew stronger, until the long fingernail pierced his palm until it bled.

"Rin-small.." call Inukimi, she stared at Rin's worries. Stepping closer to her, suddenly the human girl raised her head.

A wide smile filled Rin's beautiful face. Both of his eyes looked back at Sesshoumaru. "So, yes, Sesshoumaru-sama. Rin was shocked because it was all of a sudden. But, Rin is very happy because Sesshoumaru-sama is getting married. Congratulations Sesshoumaru-sama."

Sesshoumaru did not say anything when he heard Rin's continuous speech. He was unable to move, his whole body as if frozen to hear congratulations who did not know why it made his heart feel so sick.

Laughing softly, Rin then gazed around Sesshoumaru's study. "Sesshoumaru-sama's workspace is falling apart now, Rin will call people to tidy it up."

"Little Rin." call Inukimi who stays at the spot to see Rin's reaction. He knew something was wrong with the human girl now. She smiled, but that smile was so different from her usual smile.

"Mother should be happy, Sesshoumaru-sama will get married. Don't use emotion when discussing this good news" Rin sidelines with a smile still on her face. The smile was getting wider, but it was also getting more and more untrue. "R-Rin won't bother you anymore. Rin's going back to his room."

Not waiting for any more reply, Rin immediately turned her body and ran away. Using all his strength, he put his feet together to run.

"Little rin!!" call Inukimi to panic. However, Sesshoumaru who was behind him had come running after the girl, leaving the former ruler of the western lands alone.

Rin continued to run in the spring night with the moon not full as a light. He didn't even see where he was running. Without a goal, his feet continued to run as fast as he could as if he wanted to escape from something.

Running and running until suddenly his legs lost strength and balance. Rin's body fell down, and as she lifted her head, she realized that she was in the flower garden of the eastern pavilion.

Sitting on the ground, Rin regulated her irregular breathing. He laughed with his trembling voice. "Hahaha, R-Rin would like to go back to the room, why would Rin be here? Ah, whereas Rin would have to call people to tidy up Sesshoumaru-sama's room. What Rin has done."

Continuing to laugh, Rin gently struck her own head with her small right hand. "It must be because the news of Sesshoumaru-sama getting married surprised Rin. The tears that kept flowing and the happy words that she kept saying, Rin felt an unbearable pain in her heart.

Why is she crying? Why does he feel this pain? Rin did not understand. Sesshoumaru is getting married to youkai sooner will surely happen, he should have realized that long ago.
