Chapter 77's

The sound of shamisen passages filling the garden. On the first note, the sound immediately attracted the hearts of the youkai who heard. The sound of the music is slow, melodious and also–indah.

On the stage, the human girl smiled with her million charms. Bachi in his hand continued to move, playing the existing strings straightforwardly and gracefully.

There is a warm feeling in the hearts of the listeners. The beautiful music is like the warm spring after winter; cheerful and pleasant, full of smiles and laughter.

Closing your eyes, everything you can feel, this music conveys the warmth of the spring sun, the beauty of the cherry blossoms that bloom, the soft wind that blows, and the happiness of togetherness.

Sesshoumaru looked at Rin in silence, his golden eyes shining softly.  Never changed, the human girl was still like that. Now she has truly fully bloomed the most beautiful flower in the world.

Rin could feel Sesshoumaru's gaze on her, in every string and flowing music. Closing his eyes, the smile on his face widened.

Spring.

What was the spring like in the western land palace all this time with the inuyoukai. After all the existing work is completed, the inuyoukai will accompany him in the cherry blossom garden of the western land palace. He will tell you a lot about everything, arranging flowers, reading and stringing poems together, then he will play the shamisen, dance and sing for the inuyoukai.

Her two clear brown eyes sparkled happily and a beautiful smile filled Rin's pretty face. Risen full of happiness, he immediately bowed in reverence. Nodding the head of Sesshoumaru makes him very happy, it is okay if not liked by others, as long as the inuyoukai it likes, it is enough.

Smile and bow respectfully Rin instantly realize that everything in the garden will be consumed by them. Then, not knowing who started, the sound of applause was heard.

The endless sounds of applause then filled the desolate garden. The sounds of praise from the youkai were heard filling the night sky.

"That's great, Rin-sama."

"It's amazing, Rin-sama."

"This is the most beautiful shamisen game I've ever heard in hundreds of years of my life."

Praise for praise continued to fill the garden. Rin's face on stage instantly met red. But, it could not be hidden nor his laughter and smile. His brown eyes were not distracted from the inuyoukai figure he loved.

In every single praise spoken, hidden from the sight of all, Akihiko sat quietly. His face was expressionless, but his two sky blue eyes that mingled in red glowed full of anger. Both of his fingers were firmly clenched. The ruler of the southern land could clearly see the direction of the human girl's gaze; sesshoumaru.

Descending from the stage, with dozens of eyes still on him even though the new show on stage had begun, Rin stepped slowly towards Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha and the others.

Sesshoumaru's golden eyes could see clearly, Rin smiled and replied to the youkai who praised him along the way. Getting closer, as their eyes met again, the human girl lowered her head down. His face was perfectly red to the ears.

Sesshoumaru was more or less able to guess what Rin had in mind. The girl must be thinking about what happened between the two of them. There was a tingling feeling in the hearts of the inuyoukai rulers of the western lands seeing it all, how sweet and funny Rin looks now.

"You're amazing, Rin-chan!!" praise Kagome spirit. "I didn't expect you to be that smart playing the shamisen."

"Yes, you have to teach Aya and Maya one day, Rin-chan." Agree to Miroku while laughing.

"Yes, Aya and Maya would be very happy if you were willing to teach." Sango added, his face radiant.

"You're really great, Rin-sama." Praise Koga who was there also with great admiration. He was as polite as he could be, because he knew that the human girl in front of him was a southern kisaki in the future.

Inuyasha didn't say anything, but his two eyes shone full of pride, who wouldn't be happy for his sister to be praised like that?

Rin smiled looking at Kagome and the others. Stooping slowly, his reddened face did not dare to allow a glance at Sesshoumaru at all.

"You are the pride of the west, my daughter" Inukimi said suddenly. He got up and walked over to Rin. His right hand gently caressed the human girl's face. A smile on her beautiful face. "You are my pride."

Inukimi's praise makes Rin laugh, she is happy if her existence can be useful to the west.

Seeing Rin's laughter, Inukimi's right hand then went down to clutch the human girl's hand. "Come, sit next to your mom."

"Eh?" rin was surprised. Next to Inukimi? Doesn't that mean next to Sesshoumaru?

Rin's face immediately flushed back. However, Inukimi who saw it did not care. Laughing, he pulled the human girl's hand and placed it right next to his biological son.

Down his head, Rin did not dare to raise his head. His red face was clearly visible in their eyes around him.

Kagome and Sango can't stop smiling seeing Rin's attitude, as well as Kira and Kiri. Miroku just laughed and shook his head thinking this was youth.

For Koga, the wolf youkai looks at Rin in confusion, as he thinks Rin is Akihiko's partner. As for Inuyasha, he threw away his face.

Inuyasha was actually eager to separate Sesshoumaru and Rin, but the red and undeniable face of happiness emanated from the human girl made him undo his intentions.

"Rin." the flat, heavy voice of Sesshoumaru suddenly called out his name, making Rin startled. Raising her reddened face, the human girl stared at the inuyoukai ruler of the western lands.

"I-iya, Sesshoumaru-sama." stammered, Rin replied to Sesshoumaru's call, her red face getting redder.

Slowly, Sesshoumaru turned his face to look at the human girl. His golden eyes glowed softly. "Your music is beautiful."

Beautiful music.

Rin was stunned to hear Sesshoumaru's praise. However, a second later, a smile flashed across her face–her beautiful smile was more beautiful than a flower.

Rin's heart skipped a beat and a feeling of tightness was felt. It's just, he knows, this tightness is because of happiness. More than anyone in the world–himself just want praise from Sesshoumaru.

A smile that never changed, a smile that he loved so much. Slowly, Sesshoumaru's right hand lifted, aiming to touch the cheek of the human girl smiling at him.

However, before Sesshoumaru's hand touched that cheek, someone's hand stopped him.

Looking at the owner of the hand and voice, Sesshoumaru and Rin looked at Akihiko who did not know since when had been in front of them smiling kindly.

"You never stop surprising me, Rin." Akihiko smiled again. Roughly, he then brushed off Sesshoumaru's hand. His eyes were slowly directed at that inuyoukai, filled with intimidation as well as hatred.

Sesshoumaru did not say anything, but he returned Akihiko's sharp eyes. The feeling of dislike also radiated clearly in those golden eyes.

Koga who was there did not know what to do. He could feel clearly, the tension between the two daiyoukai was, if allowed to continue, this hanami park could become a battle arena.

Inuyasha and the others, including Inukimi, Kira and Kiri were also aware of the changing atmosphere and tension. But, as they had not done anything yet, Rin's slow voice broke the silence.

"Thank you, Akihiko-sama," Rin smiled. He who was closest to the two Japanese landlords seemed completely unaware of the circumstances. "Rin is happy, if everyone likes the game shamisen Rin."

Rin's smile and speech instantly made Sesshoumaru and Akihiko turn their faces at the human girl. Seeing her smile, inevitably, the two of them then stopped their sharp gazes and disliked them.

Smiling back, Akihiko then extended her hand to Rin. "Come, Rin. We're back in your seats."

Rin's seat Akihiko meant was none other than the seat beside her last night. The center of the party and also the host's seat.

But, Sesshoumaru's right hand was raised again. He stretched out his hand in front of Rin, making it a separation between the ruler of the southern land and the human girl. His golden eyes looked back at Akihiko. "Rin's place is next to Sesshoumaru's."

Sesshoumaru's unpredictable speech and attitude made everyone there stunned in disbelief, not least Rin.

The two brown eyes of the human girl were wide-eyed in disbelief staring at Sesshoumaru. Rin's heart was beating fast again. A feeling of tightness again filled his heart–sak because of happiness.

Rin's place is beside Sesshoumaru's.

Those words, how happy Rin was. That Inuyoukai really allowed him to be by his side. Slowly the smile of happiness returned to her beautiful face.

Akihiko could clearly see Rin's happy smile, and it made the anger in her heart grow bigger. Not lowering his hand in the slightest, by controlling the anger present, he kept smiling. "The one making the decision is Rin, not you, the dog."

Rin was stunned and looked at the confused Sesshoumaru and Akihiko. This time, he clearly sensed that the two of them did not like each other's existence.

The tension that had melted back again, even the tension was getting higher, both Sesshoumaru and Akihiko did not look to budge.

Rin who was in the middle became increasingly confused, what happened between these two rulers?–she really did not understand.

Miroku who saw the incident in front of him chuckled slightly scratching his head, he then looked at Inuyasha and also Koga. "They remind me of you both."

Inuyasha and Koga turned their faces with glaring eyes at Miroku's words. The two of them didn't say anything, but their eyes clearly objected to the monk's remark

"Yes!" the sound of Kagome's laughter suddenly broke the tension. Standing up, he walked to Rin's back. "Rin-chan, you need to get changed. You can't possibly wear this heavy shirt on, right? Come on, Sango and I will help you."

"Eh?" confused, Rin looks at Kagome. She still wears a twelve-layer kimono for the show, and this outfit does not seem to be very suitable for this hanami event. But, he also couldn't possibly leave Sesshoumaru and Akihiko in this state, right?

Kagome did not give Rin a chance to refuse, she pulled the girl up and dragged her away. Looking back, the future miko smiled at Sesshoumaru and Akihiko. "Please continue Brother, Akihiko-san."

Sango laughed loudly, standing up, he walked following Rin and Kagome. He knew what the future miko meant, they indeed should not let the sweet girl be in the middle of those two stupid daiyoukai now.

Miroku clapped his hands looking at the women who disappeared from sight. He looked at Inuyasha. This was the second time, Kagome stopped Sesshoumaru and Akihiko. "You really have the wife with the greatest courage in the world, Inuyasha."

"Sad." Flashing dislike, Inuyasha threw away his face.

Inukimi also laughed, she then stood up. Lifting the sake in his hand he smiled widely. "How about you just join this place, little wolf?"

"So, how are you feeling now, Rin-chan?" ask Kagome with a big smile. Both eyes sparkled at Rin who had just finished replacing his twelve-layer kimono with a regular pink silk kimono.

"You mean, Kagome-sama?" ryn asked confusedly.

"Sesshoumaru and Akihiko, who's your choice?" abundant Sango spirit. A big smile adorned his face.

Rin is confused to hear Sango's question. Sesshoumaru and Akihiko, what does that mean? But, in an instant, she recalled what Akihiko said last night.

"Rin.." murmured Rin softly as he lowered his head. But, then, he raised his head staring at Kagome and Sango. "Rin already rejected Akihiko-sama's offer yesterday night."

"offerings? Last night?" ask Kagome and Sango together. Confused by Rin's answer.

Rin nodded his head. "Rin can't possibly be Kisaki south and leave west, right?"

"Kisaki????!!" yelled Kagome and Sango together again. Both of their eyes were wide in disbelief.

"I-iya." Rin stammered in surprise at Kagome and Sango's reaction.

Kagome and Sango stared in disbelief at Rin. Akihiko offers Rin to be a southern Kisaki? Offering a human girl to be a youkai kisaki?–if the one in front of her is not Rin, even to death they will not believe.

"Akihiko-san, it's really amazing. He moves so fast" praised Kagome in admiration. A moment later he seemed to wake up and muttered quietly to himself. "Hmm, is this the difference between a dog and a wolf, huh?"

Inevitably Kagome is reminded of her relationship with Inuysha and Koga. Koga used to be honest and no-nonsense when he approached her, unlike Inuyasha. Now Sesshoumaru and Akihiko too, or–is the attitude of the two brothers indeed a derivative of their father?

Sango, who came to his surprise, asked again, "You've already rejected it?"

Rin nodded her head and smiled. "Rin feels Akihiko-sama is only momentarily confused by her feelings. He can't really like Rin, can he?"

Kagome and Sango smiled, there was a deep feeling of pity for Akihiko as soon as he heard the answer and saw Rin's smile. The human girl in front of him seemed to be completely unaware of the feeling of the southern land lord.

"Rin-chan," call Sango then. He took a breath and looked straight at the human girl in front of him. "What if Akihiko-san is really serious about her feelings?"

Akihiko's feelings and attitude towards Rin, Sango can see clearly. Honestly, the ruler of the southern lands had a pretty good look in his eyes. Park, hanami and all her treatment–Akihiko is one of the people who always try to make this human girl smile and laugh. Youkai is not a bad choice.

Rin was stunned by Sango's question. What if Akihiko really seriously likes her?

Sesshoumaru's voice and face suddenly flashed through Rin's mind. Instantly she instantly came to her senses, a smile fluffing on her beautiful face. "Stay alike. Rin will never leave the West; Rin will love no one else but Sesshoumaru-sama."
