Chapter 73's

"What's wrong with you, little Rin?" inukimi asked to see Rin sitting quietly staring at the blue morning sky through the bedroom window. His facial expression looked unusual, there was no smile or laughter, but there was also no sadness, there was only emptiness.

"Eh?" surprised, Rin immediately turned his head to look at Inukimi who was behind him. His brown eyes could also catch the figures of Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku and Sango looking at him full of worry.

"It's okay, Rin's okay." Rin answered quickly while forcing a jittery smile on her face.

"Tell me what Sesshoumaru has done to you, Rin?" sela Inuyasha was suddenly full of anger. "I'm really going to teach him a lesson!"

Rin's eyes widened to hear the name inuyoukai which suddenly shot out of Inuyasha's mouth. "Eh??"

"The smell was very clear and strong on your body last night, Rin," added Inuyasha, not caring about all who were now staring at him. "You went to see him, right? Tell me what the son of a bitch did to you?"

What did Sesshoumaru do to him?–Rin inevitably remembered what happened last night. Touch, warm hugs, apologies, those golden eyes, then– warm lips kisses and licks of Sesshoumaru's tongue in his hands.

Rin's face immediately turned crimson. His facial expression was no longer explained out of embarrassment. Bending his head down, his voice trembled, yet he tried to hide it in a jittery laughter. "S-sesshoumaru-sama did nothing to, Rin."

Rin's answer and expression immediately made all the pairs of eyes in the room look at him in disbelief, not least the usually insensitive Inuyasha.

"R-r!! Tell me what the son of a bitch did to you?!" yell Inuyasha. He immediately stood up with a face full of panic.

"No!!" rin replied half-shouting as well while standing up. However, his reddened face grew even more red, in fact, his ears also turned red. "S-sesshoumaru-sama did nothing to Rin."

Rin's words and facial expressions make all there is to think that the girl in front of them is really a failed liar. Each of his movements was clearly opposite to his ucapab.

"Rin!! Tida–" cried Inuyasha again. He approached Rin. An overwhelming panic filled his heart, imagining the dickhead inuyoukai had touched or done something uncredited to the girl he already considered his own sister.

"Osuwari." said Kagome who was silent from earlier.

"Akh–Kagome!!!!!!" inuyasha shouted with anger. His body was pressured down by an invisible gravity. "What are you!???"

However, unfinished from Inuyasha's protest, Inukimi suddenly lifted her body and threw the hanyou out of the room through an open window.

"Your husband-san!! What are you doing!??" inuyasha protests as his body falls on the ground. Raising his head, he intended to vent his anger again, however, his anger disappeared the moment he saw Miroku flying towards him.

"Why was I thrown too?" miroku muttered while laughing miserably.

Inuyasha immediately dodged Miroku who also fell down on the ground like earlier. Looking back at the room where Rin and the others were, the innuanyou yelled in annoyance. "What-what's this!??"

Inukimi who was standing in front of the window laughed loudly. "It's a women's talk, you boys–h from here!!"

Not waiting for the defense from Inuyasha or Miroku anymore, Inukimi immediately closed the room window firmly.

Inuyasha speaks a thousand languages. Not knowing why, she starts to feel like she doesn't care about Kagome or Inukimi, they both always throw her away and Miroku who is a man when it comes to Rin these days. What was their mistake as men to be treated like this?

"I think we'll be bodyguards again." Miroku's laughter saw what happened while scratching his non-itchy head.

"Watchers?" muttered Inuyasha quietly with his head bowed. A moment later, he raised his head in anger. "I won't let it!! I'm going to find that bastard asking for clarity!!!"

"Eh? You're going to find Sesshoumaru?" miroku asked in surprise. Standing up, he stepped back slowly. "Then, please Inuyasha. I'm not menem–"

"You're coming too!!" cut Inuyasha. His hand immediately pulled the shirt and dragged Miroku roughly, not caring the slightest protest from his best friend.

"Buyasha!! Release me!!" miroku's screams filled the garden where Rin's room was in despair.

While in Rin's room, Inukimi, Kagome and Sango sat smilingly looking at the confused girl in front.

"Rin-chan," call Kagome slowly. His eyes were fixed on Rin, the smile on his face widened. "Can you tell us what you're doing?"

"Eh?" rin was surprised. Why is their topic of conversation still about this?

"Your face is flushed like that" Sango added with a smile as well. "There must be something Sesshoumaru did to you, right?"

"Eh?" call Rin again. His face immediately turned red.

"Has my foolish son marked you, little Rin? But, why don't I smell it on you?" during Inukimi's spirit, her nose kissed Rin's scent closely.

Rin's eyes widened at Inukimi's question. Panic soon filled his face. "T-no Mother!! Sesshoumaru-sama can't possibly do that!! Marking is something sacred, Mother!!"

Marking or marking. In the youkai world, youkai only give their sign to their life partner, and the sign can only be given to one person throughout life. Therefore, youkai never carelessly give a sign to someone.

Youkai can live together, they can have children, but they may not mark each other, Inu no taisho and Inukimi are one example.

Marking is something very sacred in the youkai world. The sign is proof of the same status, harmony, unity and can also be interpreted as a marriage bond.

A bond that is intact and one for ever no matter what will happen–though death do separate.

Sesshoumaru was the daiyoukai ruler of the western lands. The strongest youkai that is feared and respected by friends and opponents. Therefore Rin knew, how could this inuyoukai possibly give such an important sign to her??

"So not yet, huh? Cih, why didn't Sesshoumaru inherit Taisho's son of a bitch's talent in winning the heart of the woman he loved, huh?" inukimi muttered softly and sighed. His face that had been full of vigor and smile was now replaced with irritation.

"You said something, Mother?" rin asked confusedly at Inukimi's reaction which could change so quickly.

Inukimi shook her head and returned smiling, "No," she laughed and looked at Rin again with sparkling eyes. "So can you tell Mother what Sesshoumaru did?"

"Eh??" rin exclaimed back to the umpteenth time again because the question had not changed from earlier.

"T-not a–" Rin answered quickly stammered. However, Kagome's hand that suddenly touched his shoulder stopped his words.

"We will help you, Rin-chan," Kagome's smile was wide, so wide, her facial expression looked abnormal. "We're all women, tell us what you did to you."

"There's no need to be ashamed of Rin-chan." Sango added with a laugh. He stood right behind Kagome staring at Rin with the same appreciation as Kagome.

Rin confronting Kagome, Sango and Inukimi now can only stare at them in fear. It seemed like they would not let go if they did not answer that question.

"Shoumaru!!" inuyasha's loud shout filled the forest not far from the southern land palace. His two golden eyes stared intently at Sesshoumaru who was sitting quietly under a cherry tree.

Sesshoumaru did not move, his two golden eyes were covered with an expressionless calm face, as well as Kira and Kiri who were beside him. The two bodyguards of the trust of the western land lord stood with flat faces staring at Inuyasha.

"Sesshoumaru, what have you done to Rin?!!" inuyasha asked in anger as he stepped closer to Sesshoumaru.

"You are actually Sesshoumaru's sister or Rin's brother, Inuyasha? Why do I feel like you're on the wrong side now?" asked Miroku who was following Inuyasha from behind while shaking his head.

Inuyasha paid no heed to Miroku's question, he continued walking and stood not far from Sesshoumaru who still did not care about him.

"My answer is, what are you doing?" ask Inuyasha again.

Slowly, Sesshoumaru opened his golden eyes. Staring flat at Inuyasha, he opened his mouth. "It's none of your business, hanyou."

"Inuyasha's correctional, Rin-chan is not your sister, but you are Sesshoumaru's sister." said Miroku, smiling behind Inuyasha.

"Silence you're Miroku!!" hardik Inuyasha is upset. He began to feel regret dragging and taking Miroku with him now, this monk did not help him at all.

Staring at Sesshoumaru once again, Inuyasha controlled his emotions. "What did you do to Rin so that she had a red face like that and didn't dare to say it?"

Inuyasha's sudden question made Sesshoumaru stunned for a moment. What he did last night crossed his head. Rin's red face and facial expression, then–touch the warm skin on her lips and also the sweet taste on her tongue.

Sesshoumaru immediately closed his eyes. There was a strange feeling that still filled his heart. A strange feeling he had never felt all this time, instead of being happy, sad, confused or the like. What he did to Rin, he felt guilty and he didn't want anyone to know. He does not know what to do and express if anyone knows it, he feels–malu.

Sesshoumaru's golden eyes opened and widened as the foreign word flashed within his head. Raising her right hand, she went down her hair and closed her eyes again.

Shame?–ya, Sesshoumaru realized, what strange feeling filled his heart since last night now. For the first time in his long life, he felt ashamed of what he was doing. What did Rin do to him? Why is it so easy for a human girl to feel emotions that are never in her?

Inuyasha who felt that Sesshoumaru was unconcerned looked at the bewildered half-brother, because he had never seen such inuyoukai before, nor did Miroku, Kira and Kiri.

Kira and Kiri did not say anything, but in their hearts, they also knew something was happening to Sesshoumaru and Rin. They remembered the dead red face and the strong smell of Sesshoumaru on the human girl last night. Then, despite not saying anything, Sesshoumaru's movements now clearly showed that something was bothering him.

"Hey, motherfucker!!" call Inuyasha then break the silence. "When will you answer my question??

Sesshoumaru lowered his right hand, but he did not care about Inuyasha at all, as if it was nothing in front of him. He was still trying to control the foreign feelings within him.

Inuyasha who was already very upset immediately stepped forward to approach Sesshoumaru. However, Kira and Kiri suddenly moved forward and confronted him.

"Stop you two!! I have business with that son of a bitch!!" inuyasha shouted with anger. His claw hands moved forward to attack.

However, Miroku immediately pulled Inuyasha back, his two eyes looking at the twins from the west with a smile. "I'm sorry about Inuyasha's attitude. He never grew up."

"Take off me Miroku!! Whose side are you on??" inuyasha shouted furiously at his friend's monk.

"What I did to Rin had nothing to do with you, hanyou." Sesshoumaru's calm and flat voice suddenly sounded breaking the commotion.

Rising from his sitting position, Sesshoumaru stepped forward towards Inuyasha. Kira and Kiri immediately paved the way to their ruler respectfully.

Standing right in front of the calm Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru's golden eyes stared at him sharply. "Don't interfere, hanyou."

"Cih," clucking in annoyance, Inuyasha brushed off Miroku's hand that pulled him over. His golden eyes looked back at Sesshoumaru as sharply as possible. "I'll keep interfering if you dare to hurt and play him!"

Sesshoumaru silently heard Inuyasha's words. He knows he hurt Rin first, but not now and then. And toying with?–how could he possibly be toying with Rin? Rin was the most precious thing to him.

"What a good thing you son of a bitch!! I should have never allowed Rin to come back to you, so she wouldn't like this heartless you!!"

Speech by word Inuyasha made Sesshoumaru unwilling to ask inwardly. Rin had always liked and loved her, but she never thought, why does the girl love her?

"I warn you, Sesshoumaru!! I won't let you!!"

Inuyasha's voice echoed through the forest. Gasping for breath, the inuanyou felt even more relieved after letting out all the irritation in his heart.

"You're done, hanyou?" ask Sesshoumaru slowly.

"You!!" anger filled Inuyasha's heart. His golden eyes stared increasingly sharply at Sesshoumaru.

However, Sesshoumaru did not care. Turning her body, she then stepped away. Kira and Kiri followed immediately.

"Stop you Sesshoumaru!!" inuyasha's orders were full of anger again. He stepped foot intending to chase after that inuyoukai, however, Sesshoumaru's remark stopped his footsteps.

"The choice is on Rin, not on this Sesshoumaru."

The moon adorns the night sky, as well as the small stars. Inside the sakura garden of the southern land palace, the sounds of music, the sounds of shouting and the sounds of laughter were clearly heard.

Dozens of youkai are sitting in a straw mat-lined garden. The flames of flying youkai lit up the surroundings, good food and sake served up abundantly everywhere.

On the large stage that became the center of entertainment, some beautiful female youkai sat sweetly playing various musical instruments melodiously. With the moon in the sky and the cherry blossom trees blooming beautifully as the backdrop, the scene ahead was definitely not a sight one could see on a daily basis.

Then, right in front of the stage, the palace master, Akihiko the ruler of the southern land sat down with a smile on his face. The wolf youkai was sitting leisurely, only, his eyes were not fixed on the stage in front, but on a human girl sitting beside him.

The human girl was sitting gracefully in a red kimono. His two clear brown eyes twinkled at the stage, amused by the music he was holding. Then, on her pretty face, a beautiful smile glimpsed a smile that to Akihiko was more beautiful than anything she had ever seen.

The promised Hanami has started now, Akihiko feels satisfied in her heart, because Rin, the human girl next to her, obviously likes her a lot. For the sake of this smile, she was willing to hold this hanami every year.

Rin clapped as the show in front of him finished. His sparkling eyes were then directed at Akihiko who was at the side. "Thank you Akihiko-sama has invited Rin to your hanami party!"

Akihiko returned the smile. His eyes looked gently at the human girl in front of him. "Originally you're happy, Rin."

Not far from Rin and Akihiko, sitting apart beside the two of them, Inuyasha's golden eyes stared at the ruler of the southern land sharply. Both of his hands folded on his chest, resentment filling his face.

"Eat Inuyasha" Kagome said, tasting a meal in front of him. She didn't care for her husband's upset face. "Enjoy this hanami."

"This sake is delicious." Praise Inukimi while sipping sake in her hand.

"Ha..," Sango sighed and stared at the now empty show pangung and waited for the next show. "If only I knew a trip south this time like this, I'd take the kids."

"We can do it next year" Miroku smiled as he watched the smiling Akihiko staring at Rin. "I think Akihiko-san will be holding it again next year for Rin."

"Why can you all still be this relaxed??!" inuyasha asked annoyed to see Kagome, Inukimi, Miroku and Sango who look very enjoy hanami at night today. His hand then pointed at Rin and Akihiko who were not far from them. "Then, don't you guys feel weird?? Why is Rin sitting there instead of next to us??!"

Inuyasha's successive questions made Kagome, Inukimi, Miroku and Sango stare at the innuanyou in silence.

"Rin-chan, esteemed guest, Inuyasha," Miroku replied later with a laugh. "So it's not wrong he's sitting there."

"Do you believe that reason??!" ask Inuyasha again. The regret on his face was unbearable anymore. "That's the host's seat!!"

Rin's seat next to Akihiko is actually very strange, because anyone who sees it will surely realize, that it is a seat for the hostess. Rin initially also refuses to sit there, however, Akihiko and some southern youkai convinced him that it was a place reserved for the guests of honor in this hanami party–s the saviors of hundreds of southern youkai in last year's war.

Rin who continued to refuse could do nothing, let alone Inukimi who suddenly interrupted and asked Rin to sit in the honorable place with a smile.

Staring at Inukimi who was still drinking sake, Inuyasha bellowed furiously. "Why did you allow Rin to sit there, Inukimi-san? You really want to set him up on that jackal??!"

Inukimi laughed loudly at Inuyasha's words. Raising his head looking up at the night sky, he then smiled happily. "Because I want that fool to move immediately."

Away from the crowd, outside of the sakura garden of the southern land palace, on the roof of the palace, Sesshoumaru stood still with Kira and Kiri behind, standing still, both of her golden eyes stared fixedly at the figure of the smiling human girl beside Akihiko.
