"You want to tell me why you kidnapped me at work for no apparent reason?" he asked after sitting in the passenger seat, staring at the scorching sun shining down on us, right above our heads.

He closed the door for me while looking around silently

"I'm gonna ask you out." He whispered to my open window.

"Now? Shouldn't you be working?"

"Either what your parents thought, but I've told my manager to clear my schedule from this afternoon."

He walked to the driver's seat and got into the car.

"Wow, you choose anything else rather than work? That's new. That's good.you have to do it once in a while,"

"Yes, you're the one who made me not want to be in the office lately. I haven't decided if that's a good thing." He said while pulling out of the house.

"Indeed. After all, there will be a breaking point. You've worked hard for years, making us feel as if we're useless." Thas right.

I feel completely useless and like a useless person to be here when I see how hard Devan works even though I'm sure it's not necessary. It just makes me more determined to study well and get a good job. In some ways, we were kidnapped turned out to be a good thing because I was able to give more time to my academics and development. I'm becoming more mature and can't wait to get out of here and prove myself to the world. For some reason, I wanted to prove myself to Luna so that she could truly believe me when I said that I was not a treasure madman or had other intentions and I was stuck here purely out of fate.

He chuckled, "I didn't mean that. After all this date wasn't really planned and really just wanted to spend time with you, so I don't know what you're going to think"

"Devan, everything's fine"

We drove to the hills and were quite far from the city. The cars on the road started to wane and I started to wonder where exactly he would take me and do what.

My question was answered when he drove the car into the parking lot of a water park. Our first date since we met was at the water park.

"It's unexpected.not bringing a change of clothes" said

"I've prepared it." He said as he opened the trunk of the car, taking out two small bags. He bought us two tickets and we gave the bags to the counter to put in the locker and then he led me into the park.

The place was not crowded at all because it was the middle of the week. Everyone is busy, stuck in their office and hoping Friday will come soon.

It felt strange that there were only the two of us here with a few people.

We changed into the clothes he was carrying, so it doesn't matter if it gets wet.

"Where were you going?" He asked when we met in front of the dressing room

I look ahead. All the rides looked deadly, I'm not afraid.I haven't been to the water park for a long time.

But I know this ride will be fun, especially since I'm here with Devan.

"That one." I pointed towards the simple cylinder slide that ended up in a large pool at its base.

"Okay, let's go!" He took my hand and led me to the slide. Since there were not many people around, we did not have to wait our turn, and directly slid down easily, only to plunge ourselves into the water. When he reappeared, Devan had followed me and we laughed together, pulling water from our hair. The awkwardness felt since arriving here quickly dissipated and became more comfortable.

We jump to the next ride which is similar to the previous rides but is longer and has turns and derivatives. We played in the pool for a while, splashing water on each other's faces

My favorite ride was a ride where we sat on an inflatable raft and glided down a steep platform. We tried all the rides in the water park. Very delightful. A few hours later, we finally finished all the rides.

Just as we finished our last ride and we went back to the big pool laughing and chatting about how fun the day was. pulled her closer and stuck my lips to hers. It was a soft and pleasant kiss.

We withdraw only when we are interrupted by the whistle

"No kissing! This is a family-friendly water park" shouted a woman from across the pool who appeared to be part of a maintenance crew. We immediately split up, getting out of the pool in a hurry to avoid embarrassment

We changed back and thought that this was the end of our date, Devan asked me for a small hill. The sign on the path indicated that it was the path to the training ground.

I looked at him in surprise. "Are we going to play zipline?"

Well, this is not good because I myself am a little afraid of heights. Why is Daria a brave girl? He's a risk-taker and sometimes I don't understand that girl. The girl I've never met.

I smiled uneasily at him, turning my face away from seeing that he was panicking inside. "It's late, maybe we should come back someday."

He shook his head. "It's not too late. We can do this and come back. It won't take much time."

I had no other reason to stop him, so I just went along. The account told myself that I would turn a blind eye and pretend to be undisciplined. Then it won't be too bad.

We arrived at that place and there were some people who helped other people who came to train. There were two more people before us, after which it was our turn.

We were at least a hundred feet above ground level. Disciplining yourself from this height seemed like a nightmare. The worst part was that I couldn't even see further than a few meters because of the fog that made me not know what was going to happen to me, so accounts had to get ready.

I heard that it passed through the canyon with a beautiful stream of water flowing beneath it.

I tried not to show that I was a little worried but Devan chatted about how this was the first time he was going to zipline and couldn't help but smile because of his excitement, my anxiety was lessened.

Shortly after, it was our turn. There are two zip wires running parallel to Deva and I'm going to slide at the same time. Luckily when I was so scared, no sound came out of my mouth which meant I wouldn't scream in fear when this started and Devan wouldn't think I was scared.

Once we were tied into a trolley, my over-thinking brain with an overactive imagination began to create various scenarios that ended in fatal conclusions

I shook my head. Everything's gonna be fine.

I turned to my side and Devan looked dizzy from fear, anticipation and excitement. He looked at me and we gave each other a smile, rather a big smile.

And then it started. I quickly closed my eyes . There were two seconds in the beginning where it felt like we were walking slowly and then immediately the wind whack my face and hair. I felt my stomach clench when the steep slope occurred and made me tighten the grip on the cable hanging on the pulley.

A little behind me, Devan is having fun. His cheers reached my ears and I heard him yelling "whoa" and "wow" several times. I hesitantly opened my eyes, intending to peek but the wind was so strong that it made me look at the scene below with wide eyes.

It is pure beauty. We were passing through a beautiful canyon. Fresh water flowed about sixty meters below our feet and was filled with greenery and shrubs, seemingly untouched by human activity. The soft sound of water flowing around the rocks and the ground and bumping into each other reached our ears - the only sound that was heard by us

The sides of the canyon had random patterns that stretched across the entire section and although the height frightened me, it was nothing compared to the scene before my eyes. It's so much fun. Scary but still fun

We landed safely on a platform soon after that thrilling experience. Devan stepped down on the grass. "It's perfect." He sighed, looking up at the sky. "But I feel a little dizzy."

I'm laughing a little. "I like it."

"Well of course. You are an adventure enthusiast. You jump off a cliff, zipline, run away from home and much more that you do not know. You do all kinds of scary things"

He was right about the first two things. But he did it with me too.

I chuckle. "Funny. So... is there anything else we'll do? Are we going to parachute next?"

He pulled himself off the ground and wagged the grass on his hair and clothes. "No. That'sthat's all. Unless you have something on your mind."

"Right now, everyone can think of how hungry I am."

"me too. Should we go home for dinner or eat out? The journey home will take about two hours."

I shook my head eagerly in need of food. Imminent. As it is now."

"I am too." He said again. "What should we eat?"

"I want to eat McDonald's"

A smile immediately adorned his face. "You read my mind. I can't remember the last time McDonald's ate."

We left the water park where we had fun. We took a lot of photos that day to keep as memories.

We started walking towards the house and on the way we saw McDonald's and Devan were going to stop in the parking lot when we told him to go through the driveway. He obeyed his orders and before long we had plenty of food.
