The next day at breakfast. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw that sleepy-looking Devan and was about to fall asleep for a while, so don't get mad at me.

He still had not noticed when I was quietly sitting at the table, and I saw him as he walked while rubbing his eyes. He looked tired as if he had not slept at all. It was evident from the eye bags under her eyes and she yawned twice every minute.

His eyes were fixed on me a minute later and he pointed an accusatory finger at me

"You're a little boy"

"What?" I immediately cut him off before he could mention anything inappropriate, I widened my eyes innocently. "What!! What's wrong?"

"You know exactly what you're doing" he growled as he lowered his finger.

I remained silent, struggling not to let the hysterical laughter out of my lips

He narrowed his eyes at me. "You owe me a cell phone" he said.

"What?" my question is, really curious now.

"You're the reason why my phone went missing, probably still somewhere, in the garden. It's most likely broken now, because I'm pretty sure the phone didn't survive the time I threw it out the window.the gardener must have watered my phone along with the plants by now and oh, oh, you had to fix my window because I didn't realize it was closed when I tried to throw my phone out the window at 4:45 in the morning. And have you changed my mobile password?"!!!! charge him furiously.

I burst out laughing uncontrollably when I heard Devan say that . "That's the last alarm on your phone" I said in a laugh.

He was cursing under his breath. "I can't believe this" he muttered looking very upset which made my grin widen.

"It was my second iPhone in less than ten days, all because of you. My first phone broke because you pushed me into the pool and now?!"

I snorted in return.

"Did you care?. Money is not a problem for you. You may spend more money every day buying useless things". I said

"No, it's your custom"

"And you'll replace for this" I said

"No, actually my father will pay for it. I don't have any money and all that money belongs to my dad, so he's gonna fix his window and I don't know, he might as well buy me another phone" he shrugged.

"I will really repay you"!! He warned by pointing at me again and without waiting for my answer, he turned away.

I laughed out loud, making sure she heard my laughter and I knew she must have heard it.

Looks like he'll get back at me. Maybe the plan will be worse than last time. But I don't care.I won't give up because he was the one who started it from the beginning.

...

The breakfast was a quiet walk with Mr and Mrs Daralyn. They are leaving tonight for Paris, where waiters and cooks have been told to plan an elaborate farewell dinner for them.

"We're going to be in Paris for about two weeks, so for now, you're in charge of the business here" Mr David told Devan, she was later convinced that she would not disappoint him and congratulated him on their wedding anniversary.

After breakfast, both of my parents went to work after promising me that they would come early for dinner because they wanted to spend more time with me before they left.

Mrs. Daralyn has to finish shooting some models for her clothing line before she leaves with Mr. David, and mr. David had to complete several business deals in partnership with several well-known companies. Both will be busy for most of the day.

..

"So what's the plan today? What are we gonna do?" asked Anna who looked up from the fashion magazine she was reading

"I feel lazy today. How about we watch a movie marathon while eating popcorn and pizza?" She asked.

"That sounds good ." I shrugged my shoulders.

Just then, Devan appeared in the living room and flopped down beside me on the sofa.

"Do you have nowhere else but here?" I asked sharply.

"I'm free today" she shrugged.

"What's? Aren't entrepreneurs like you supposed to work 24 hours a day?".

He raised his eyebrows. "What you know about business when the only useful thing you've ever done in your life is put cold food in the microwave to heat it up." He retaliated.

I was riled up, crossing my arms around my chest while trying to calm myself down

Patience Darla!! He was talking about Daria. Not you. You are very hardworking, smart and beautiful and you know it!!.

Fortunately, Anna interjected by asking what I wanted to watch.

"Um. how about Monte Carlo?" He asked while holding up the DVD of the film.

"I've never seen it. Is that good?"

"Yes, that's good.

"How's the story?" I asked.

"This is about three girls who go on vacation to Paris and one of them is mistaken for the heir of England and he takes part after being persuaded by his friends."

My face was down to hear Anna. I saw Anna grinning. He purposely did this, testing me to see how far he could go while still making sure that our secret would be safe.

"Is he telling the truth?" my tofu, my,

I turned to Devan to see if he suspected us.

"No," Anna said as she wet her lips.

"How's the ending?" I asked, noticing Devan looking at me as I looked at him from the corner of my eye.

"Well or bad?" I swallowed hard.

"Well, it's a happy ending."Anna cut her words.

"Too good to be real. It's fiction. It's never gonna happen in real life." I waved my hand in a dismissive tone, "We don't have to watch that movie." I'm suggesting.

"Okay, how about a Lizzie McGuire movie? Anna suggested, still grinning

And the storyline is similar. Oh God. Does he want us to be found out?

"No," I exclaimed, giving him a warning look

He chuckles. "All right then. You choose."

"Thank you," I said, still glaring at him as he handed me the DVD box

"Please, for God's sake, not a romantic movie." Devan said with a sad expression

"Why? Looks like you're not going to watch it" I said as I looked through the film collection

"Mean's Girls? The film was never boring" Anna asked

"We're not high school anymore. Darla." Anna warned me

"I still love that movie." I said calmly.

Half an hour later, Anna and I were immersed in watching Mean Girls with a big bowl of popcorn each, with Devan being the unwanted uninvited guest on the show with us. I felt annoyed that he dared to eat popcorn in my bowl once every five minutes while continuously playing his phone.

About fifteen minutes later, Gio casually walked into the living room out of nowhere. We were all lying on the sofa with a big flat screen playing Mean Girls movies.

"Devan, I didn't know that you like movies like that". Gio said while pointing towards the TV.

"No," he said, putting his phone in his jeans pocket.

"I'm waiting for you to come here" he said as he approached to grab a handful of popcorn. I shook my head and kept the bowl out of his reach. He rolled his eyes at me and muttered something under his breath that I could not understand.

"We have a double date with Sandra and Luna"

"I canceled it" said Devan as he stood up

A date? Who wants to date this monster?

"What's? Why?" Gio asked after throwing a flirtatious wink at Anna who chose to ignore him.

"I've told you the reason" Devan said firmly, taking the car keys.

"Oh, okay, I don't matter." Gio shrugged his shoulders. "Are we going now?" He asked and Devan nodded.

"Okay, see you Daria, see you Anna," she exclaimed as she waved her hand enthusiastically to us, whom I replied with an awkward wave of my hand.

They left immediately after that and we finally felt relaxed, happy to be alone without any arrogant billionaires around.
