I'm Not Daria

I'm Not Daria
Day with devan 2

"What do you mean?" I asked carefully

"A day with you doesn't feel like a day spent with Daria. Now don't give me a reason people change, I'm really curious. It feels like a completely different person. Daria, are you hiding something from me? Because if someone were to tell me that you would become like this one day, I would definitely laugh and say that they might have just visited another world"

I stopped walking, my cotton candy was long gone in my stomach, and with a face as firm as possible, I turned to Devan.

He also stopped, looking at me with raised eyebrows. He had just eaten five bites of gulali and I knew what to do to rethink his words.

I reached out my hand to take the cotton candy and smash it on his face, the cotton candy smeared all over his face and a bit of his hair

"I think this is enough to confirm that I'm Daria Daralyn, your childhood friend,"

Devan opened his hill eyes, looking at me sharply. "Yes, right, and now you're gonna die."

I had expected the attack and before he lunged at me, I retreated away from him. He rubbed his face to remove some crushed cotton candy from his face

And then he chased me. I ran out of the street and into a park filled with little children and their mothers. Devan chased after me and several times he almost caught up with me, but I forced myself to run faster. The mothers in the park looked upset at us and the children complained that we were passing the game too often.

I finally felt tired and so did he. When we arrived near the fountain, I paused for a moment to catch my breath

"Can we take a break?" I asked, while glancing towards his body that was bent on the opposite side of the fountain. He was panting as well and with a glare towards me, he lunged towards me again

"Sure, after I kill you."

I groaned as he advanced towards me. We circled around the fountain a few times and then suddenly he changed his route and went in the opposite direction, directly towards me.

I screeched as I lost my footing, Devan pushed me unhelpfully as well and with a loud splash, I fell into the fountain while gripping Devan at the last moment and brought him down with me.

The water was very cold and within seconds it was like being in a restaurant refrigerator, I groaned and pushed it away from me

"Look at what you're doing, you son of a bitch." I whined as I stared at my soaked clothes. A few more minutes and I'm sure I'll be a human popsicle by then.

"It's not my fault that you're so clumsy."

In response, I doused it with more water.

"What the fuck, Daria!"

"That's what you got" for my words further dissolved in the water that entered my mouth and choked, desperately spewing it out. It took me a few seconds to realize that he had doused me back.

"How dare you!" my cry angrily splashed the water in the direction he expected

"Stop!" I heard Devan screaming on the water.

I slipped once again in the cold water and gasped

I heard Devan laughing, I kicked his leg from below and he fell right on top of me.

"Can't you fall somewhere else?" my brain is holding his weight

"No. Fortunately fate chose me to make a gentle landing"

"Down" I pushed him. I quickly jumped out of the water and turned my head back when I heard a loud scream

"Not my iPhone anymore!" Devan screamed, sounding as if he was about to cry as he stared at his wet phone, which now showed off a huge crack on his screen along with several other cracks branching out.

"Does it still work?"

Devan looked at me as if asking if I was stupid. "Of course it doesn't work."

"Pardon me" I said through teeth.

Devan sighed and pocketed his phone. "Let's go back to the hotel."

I shook my head. "We're pretty far from the hotel and have to get out of these clothes like now"

"We'll just find a clothing store, buy clothes and change clothes."

"That's a good idea."

The sky started to darken and we went back to the streets. People looked at us strangely and long enough after we finally found a clothing store. The store was small, but it did not matter as long as the store promised warm and comfortable clothes.

We walked towards the counter and the person behind him looked at us as if we were beggars. Devan slammed his wallet down and carefully pulled out a drenched dollar bill. He put all the money he had to dry it

Then we parted, I headed for the women's section and she headed for the men's section.

I immediately picked a dark blue hoodie because it was so cold out there

I immediately changed into clothes, drying myself with a towel that the shopkeeper kindly gave me

Letting my hair down on my back dry it out, then walking towards the counter again where Devan was already there in black jeans and a dark blue hoodie.

"I'm sorry." I muttered, hoping the next second he didn't hear me

"It's okay, I'm sorry, too, for being immature."

"You don't have to apologize. My fault. I shouldn't have done that to you with cotton candy"

"I guess we're both equally guilty here."

Silence enveloped us and I racked my brain to look for the topic of conversation when I suddenly remembered the most interesting event of the day.

I took her hand and led her to where we were supposed to be. He asked me but I silenced him.

"Yes, that's where we're going" I said as I pointed towards the spot that had begun to be seen.

"A yacht?" She asked.

"Yes, come. That would be awesome"

We paid for a cruise and immediately set off with others on a cruise across the Seine.

What a wonderful view from the boat. Paris looks much more lively and dazzling at night with all the lights. We went through many important places. The air was cool and a pleasant atmosphere enveloped us while enjoying the moment. I'm not sure if I can see this scene again, so let it sink into my memory. This is one of the best days of my life, a day where I feel so carefree and in spite of all the worries.

The whole cruise is a short trip to see the most beautiful views of the cityscape and famous places around the world. It ended too soon

Devan had a big smile on his face even after we got off the ship

"I'm hungry" he said.

"Me too"

"Then let's go."

"Where should we go for dinner?"

"What's it like to have dinner at the Eiffel Tower?" She asked.

"That sounds incredible"

So we went back to the tower, this time we did not race to reach the top and took the elevator. Fewer people than before, even inside restaurants.

The 58 Tour Eiffel restaurant is very beautiful, located on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower. We were given a table in a far corner from the small crowd where its elegant atmosphere wrapped us in its warmth

Soft lighting and minimalist furniture add to its beauty, but of course there is nothing compared to the tower.

I enjoyed a delicious dinner with Devan and didn't know how we could be good friends. My first impression of him was so wrong When I became his friend, he was like a completely different person, he was the real one. When we fought with each other, he acted like an asshole, but he wasn't really a jerk.

After dinner, we finally decided to end the show. We decided to go back to the hotel, especially after showing how everyone must have been worried about our absence all day.

"let's go home, I don't want Luna clawing at my eyes for stealing her boyfriend all day. I really hope he doesn't."

"Don't worry, he wouldn't do something like that."

"I hope so."

After a while, an idea came up: "Hey, let's go to the hotel by bike"

"What?"

"Yes, look there's a bike shop there" he said, pointing to the bike shop across the street.

"Yes, I can't."

"please. Come on, I promise this is the last." I beg

"I'm really tired" he whined.

"Wow, and I thought you were a manly man."

"It has nothing to do with my manhood. We just had dinner anyway"

"Yes, about half an hour ago."

He groaned, finally giving up. We started racing on the streets with the bike we just bought.

We didn't know where the hotel was because Devan was so easy to forget, so we kept asking for directions and finally after half an hour, we arrived at the hotel.

I feel tired and Devan feels the same way. We wasted no time climbing the stairs, had no energy to tell someone about our arrival and without much farewell, we turned to each other's rooms, without hesitation, without hesitation, to lay down on the bed and eliminate all fatigue. At least so.
