"I still can't believe you own a car like that." I said I glanced at the car, which was not an expensive luxury car. The car could easily look like a regular car and no one would believe that it belonged to a billionaire.

"Yes, it's for an adventure like this." He grinned, twirling the car keys on his finger

"Where are we going?" I asked as he grabbed my hand as we were about to cross the street

"It's right there."

I looked in the direction he was pointing and was confused as to why we were in the theater

"I mean, I know we were there to watch a movie, but why?".

We could have watched it at home in the Daralyn family's private cinema. It would not be a problem to get the latest movie

When I showed it to him, he couldn't answer for a minute. "I want to feel it like everyone else does. In a crowded cinema, in the dark with many people around. It would be nice if we weren't recognized."

I look at him amusedly. "You really want to try all the things normal people do, don't you?"

He nodded enthusiastically.

"But what's wrong with me?"

He looked back with question marks. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, why are you taking me to see a movie with you? Why not with your best friend Gio or your girlfriend Luna?"

He shrugged his shoulders. "They are busy. Gio was dating and Luna was sleeping well. And also because you're fun to be with."

We entered the building. Devan bought our tickets and got us two bags of popcorn.

Five minutes later we were sitting in a movie theater with popcorn bags in hand, looking around and seeing only five other people. There was no one around us.

"Of course, who wants to watch a movie at one in the morning?" grumbling. "That's it, sit down with people and watch the movie you want."

The movie starts and after a few minutes, some people start to come and sit in front of us.

There was a student couple sitting in line in front of us, three boys and a girl who looked like they were still sitting on the High School bench sitting at the very front of the theater. There were still some people sitting at the back.

The movie begins. At first the film was pretty good, but then it got boring. Very tedious. I had to resist yawning about five times. So I just stuffed my mouth with popcorn. The only good part of it all is popcorn.

The young couple sitting in front of us started kissing each other five minutes after the movie started like there was no tomorrow, making Devan and I very uncomfortable. It seems like they are trying to eat each other, not knowing how to gobble up popcorn while watching a boring movie and a very excited couple.

The four High School kids also seem bored with the film and spend most of their time just running around, chasing each other in the dark. And they're too noisy!

Fortunately they left even before the break. I peeked into the back row and it turned out to be empty. So there's only one couple left dating, Devan and I in the whole theater.

When the interval finally arrived, the couple got up and left with their belongings, hand in hand.

I exhaled. "This movie is so boring!" whinek.

And it's true. It was a movie about an alien invasion. I don't even know why he chose this movie. Not that I don't like movies about alien invasions. It's just this one sucks. Even without watching it, I already knew that this movie sucks.

"Yes, I would love to say that in the first thirty minutes. By the way, do you want another bag of popcorn?" He asked, looking inside his bucket to see if the bucket was empty

"Yes,"

"Then I'll get you two more bags."

"Okay," I nodded.

He went to get us more popcorn and I was left there, bored. We could've left, but I guess we just stayed to eat popcorn.

After a while, the lights dimmed. I looked towards the entrance but he had not returned yet. The movie starts and suddenly I get an idea.get up from my seat and walk further to the very front of the theater.

I crouched down on the chair to make sure it wouldn't be visible, being in the corner in the second row.

I almost had a heart attack. Thank goodness God kept him quiet. I quickly picked it up and stuck it to my ear.

"Hey, where are you?" Devan asked, still looking around.

"I'm still in the theater" I whispered.

"Where? I didn't see you."

"That's because I'm hiding."

"Why are you hiding?"

I let out a breath. "That's because I want you to find me, stupid."

"Hey, I'm not-I

I disconnected the phone before he could say anything. He pocketed the phone and scanned his surroundings carefully. I sat back in my chair.

I could hear his footsteps walking around. I looked back and saw he had gone looking for me at the other end of the movie theater. I immediately got out of my seat and knelt down. He came to the front of the hall and I had to move. Hiding behind a row of chairs, I slowly climbed the stairs.

He is now at the very front and coming to the other side where I am. I quickly moved further up the stairs and when I thought he would see me, I turned around and entered into the space between two consecutive rows.

I looked through the gap between the two chairs, he stood a few rows down, looked around and scratched his head

I continued to move through the ranks and once I reached the end, I ran to our previous seat while bowing my head.

I sat down, threw myself in the chair and picked up the popcorn. Seeing a devan looking for me near the front was much more entertaining than the movie.

I don't know how I got to sleep after eating a few popcom bites but when I woke up, the movie was still playing.

I rubbed my eyes and looked around to find Devan in the front row but he wasn't there. I leaned forward in my chair to look for her but I didn't see her anywhere.

I looked to the right, then to the left. I screamed when I saw him right next to me. Popcorn flew in all directions due to the fear she gave me, some landed on my body and some on her body as well.

"What the fuck, Devan."

"Catch you." He said clearly while eating popcorn.

I calmed my racing heart and rolled my eyes at him. "Not so fast."

I jumped from my seat, ready to run around the entire theater but had just arrived in the middle of the hall where there was no seating, I was caught from behind. Devan wrapped his hands around my waist and lifted me into the air, twirling me a few times before lowering me.

"Now I'm arresting you."

"Okay, okay. You caught me." I gave up and turned to face him

We both looked at the screen, not realizing that there was a song playing right now.

When I turned to Devan, he stretched out his hand to hold it. smiled and put my hand in his hand.

He immediately pulled me closer. His arms were coiled around my waist and wrapped my arms around his neck. We started to move to the music. He dropped me at the right time and pulled me back into his arms. We danced throughout the song and right at the end of the song, he dropped me again.

From the loudspeakers, there were strange sounds, as if there were two people kissing.

I looked at the screen and it was true, the main cast was lip-locking, in the same position as we were with me in the middle of the backrest on devan's arm.

Devan still held me in that position and turned to her to say that she could pull me up, but I swallowed my words when I saw her face so close to mine

Her fresh breath fanned my face and I closed her eyes as she leaned back.
