I'm Not Daria
Daria has changed

"So you have a friend now? What's name?" Anna asked while looking at the ceiling. She was lying on her bed and I just barged into her room to tell her everything that happened in the morning.

"Lilna, . Her sister Ardhika is Samantha's husband and she is my best friend whom I do not know.

"It just got really complicated." Anna mutters.

"Tell me about it. It's all because of you, if you don't convince me to act like their naughty daughter."

Anna breathed a tired sigh. "Let's not discuss this anymore"

"What if it gets more complicated? What will be done when all the families of Daria come to visit at once. I will not be able to follow her! we'll get caught. We're gonna get kicked out of here. Maybe we'll even be handed over to the police!"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa" Anna jumped out of bed and ran towards me.

"Slow down" he said, holding onto my shoulder, "that kind of thing is going to happen. Do you understand?" He shook me, I pushed him away.

"How can you be so sure?"

"Just tell Mrs Daralyn that you're not ready to meet all her extended family. I'm sure he'll understand".

"No, he won't understand. He'd think I was acting like a primitive person who was new to human civilization and was afraid of interacting with others, and that was ridiculous."

"Well then, just meet them all at once." Anna said, shrugging her shoulders and walking towards the bed. He dropped down on it and closed his eyes.

"Anna"?

He didn't answer me. But I know he's not asleep either.

"Anna, I'm freaking out!"

"I've already told you how to get out of here, but you don't want to, so what can I do?"

I didn't answer. There is still a chance to escape from all of this!

"What if we run away?

"No, it's not gonna happen. At least not anytime soon."

"Anna, we can't stay here forever. Let's get out of here."

"I'm not leaving".

I looked at her, she lay in bed without caring about her sin.she knew for sure I would not go without her and she made full use of it.

"Anna, please."

"Daria, no." He imitated me

"Aragh!" I groaned, rubbed my hair, got frustrated with it

"Why are you doing this to me?"

"I'm sorry"

Knowing that he won't give you a productive answer will only frustrate me more. I finally got up from the carpeted floor where I was sitting and started to come out of his room.

"Bas with you." I muttered.

"I love you too" he said before closing the door behind me.

It was six o'clock in the afternoon and there was no one in the house. It made me feel as if everyone was working hard except Anna and I were wasting all day lazing around, and that was the reality.

I walked around a little inside the mansion until I felt claustrophobic there. The polished walls of the mansion looked like they locked me away, so I came out of the mansion to breathe fresh air.

Close to the big house was a large garden. I rarely went to that park, but it was very big and beautiful.

There was even a small pond in the middle of it and it was the most beautiful sight I had ever seen. I decided to come here often because the real beauty is not in the house, but here, in nature.

There are rows of tall trees of various types on one side of the garden and on the other side there is a valley of flowers with different types of flowers in bloom.

I sat on the bench under the sakura tree, I just stared at the scene in front of me. not allowing my mind to think of anything, other than the beauty that was in front of me.

And I feel at peace. Even if it was only for a moment, it was worth it. In a short period of time, everything that happened to me, the situation I was in, seemed trivial or made even the biggest problems seem small.

I smiled gently without doing anything, and told myself that everything would be fine. And then, I feel amazing. This park is my personal paradise. I really like it.

After sitting like that for a long time, I heard the sound of leaves crackling behind me. I turned towards the voice and found someone behind me. "Dorrrr" he said, holding my shoulder. I jumped up and screamed in fear, putting a hand over my heart that felt like it was beating fast on my chest.

I turned to look at Mario who was looking at me with a silly grin

"You're scaring me!"

"That's what I want to do."

He came forward and sat down on the bench, taking my seat beside him.

"Why are you here?"

"I'm looking for you. I didn't find you anywhere inside, so I thought you must be here and it turned out to be true, you're here."

"Why do you think I'll be here. Don't visit this park often."

He shrugged and put his hand in the pocket of his "You look like a girl who loves nature. I just had a feeling you'd be here."

I'm nodding. "Why are you looking for me?"

I'm gonna try a new recipe for dinner. Mrs Daralyn likes it when I try new recipes because she loves everything I make and almost always new recipes are made to be delicious. So I just want to know if you want to learn it with me"

"Oh, of course. Besides I didn't get to make anything in the kitchen today, so yeah, come on."

I got up, waiting for him to do the same. But he sat down while looking at me curiously.

"What?"

"You know, sometimes I think that it's not you. That the one with me right now is not the real Daria. You look very different. It's as if you're not the real Daria, but you look like her.

I laughed nervously, pushing a hair off my face. He wouldn't believe how good he was.

"Why do you think so? I'm really me."

"You've never been this happy or willing to be friends with cooks or waiters. What's happened to you over the past year and a half? Before everything happened, you almost never even turned your head towards me, you didn't even know my name back then."

"People change, you know."

"I think they've changed."

"Now come on," I said as I grabbed her arm and tried to pull her away, wanting to change the subject, "Let's cook in the kitchen!"
