"W-are you okay?" Anna asked me, waving her hand in front of my face while sitting staring into space.

"Huh? What's?" I asked, not fully hearing or understanding what he was saying.

"I asked if you were okay? You look so scared, "He observed.

I was brought back to the real world.

Gosh darn. What the hell's been going on? That wasn't supposed to happen, I didn't mean to expose Devan like that in front of a dozen people.

I'm so stupid. I shouldn't have done anything in the first place. I've gone too far. Indeed the towel was released because of his own mistake. It was devan's fault because he didn't tie her tight enough.

But I feel so guilty here. If I don't do it, maybe this won't happen, my eyes will still be holy and not have a heart attack that can make me die!!!

"FROM!" Anna suddenly shouted.

"What?" I asked with wide eyes, not expecting that he would suddenly scream.

"You why? What the hell's going on? You okay?" He asked for the umpteenth time.

"Yes, I'm fine" I replied in a daze

"really? Now tell me what's wrong? What's going on?"

I was pondering whether to tell him or not. I didn't want Devan to feel that I was doing it on purpose and now I'm telling it to everyone.

"Something has happened. Something big happened".

"What's? You scared the shit out of me. Does anyone know about us?". Anna gasped when I didn't answer. "Geez, someone already knew that, didn't they? Who her? Shit, we gotta get out of here. I should have listened to you! I'm so stupid."

"God, relax. No one knows. We're safe."

"Then what happened?"

"I was planning to steal Devan's clothes while he was in the shower and lock his closet. Then he came into my room wearing a towel because he had no clothes to wear, I accidentally threw him out the window, because you didn't catch him. So I ran away from him and he chased me and we ended up in a room full of people I thought were the ones Devan was supposed to meet. We both fell because he hit me from behind. And when she woke up, the towel came off her waist and we all saw it."

I shuddered as the shadow came to my mind just like that. Pipiki. I can't get that shadow out of my head

"What?!" Anna's eyes were wide like plates. "You see him naked?"

I grimaced at his words. "Yes, and twelve more people also saw him. It happened in front of everyone."

"Oh. Oh God. Devan will kill you!"

"justified?? I didn't know that".

"Where is he now?"

I shrugged, "How do I know? He must be in his room. I'd do the same thing if it happened to me"

"What are you gonna do now?"

"Don't you know, just pray that he doesn't kill me?"

"Hopefully you're lucky, I wouldn't be surprised to hear you were found dead in a ditch or alley."

"You are a good friend" I said cynically,

"I'm just telling you the truth, I don't want to give you false hope. Devan will kill you".

I was so scared for lunch. All day long I shut myself in my room, busying myself with anything that made me unable to get out of the room. Playing with Jessica most of the time, styling her hair as best she could and letting her do the same, throwing tea parties with her and her barbie friends without tea and lulling her over with lullabies.

However, when lunch arrived , Amara came to tell me that everyone was already waiting for me at the dinner table, I had no other choice but to go downstairs and hang on for thirty minutes of lunch without having to meet Devan. If I'm lucky enough, maybe he's already had lunch and won't be here.

Jessica is taken by Sam to her own room so a waiter can look after her and make sure what she needs.

I hesitantly headed to the table where I knew Devan would also be present.

It was a large rectangular table and the four of us, now six because Gio decided to join us for lunch, clustered in the middle leaving plenty of empty seats at that table.

Liam, Gio and Devan sit together on one side of the table with Sam and Anna sitting across from Liam and Gio, leaving a chair across from Devan for me.

I could have been sitting on the other end or somewhere other than near Devan, but it would have looked weird and made me look like a fool. Plus, I don't want anyone to know what happened a few hours ago.

Actually I wanted to sit next to Sam or Liam, but Sam wouldn't like it because in a short time I knew him right away, I knew he was the kind of woman who really liked regularity , design and style in every aspect of his life.

So I sat in the chair opposite Devan and next to Anna.

Gio entertained us about some of the things that happened at the office that day and some witty comments here and there. Moreover, the lunch went on quietly, at least until Gio decided to open his voice.

"So Devan, have you finished the meeting that was supposed to be held today?" Liam asked as he stabbed his chicken with a fork. "Finish fairly quickly Usually your meeting lasts for two hours"

Devan. "That didn't happen. The meeting was rescheduled for tomorrow."

"Why?" She asked

I held my breath. What if Devan rambles about the incident and everyone will yell at me for my immaturity?

"There's a small problem. But, it made me realize that I can't have a meeting in this place forever" he said briefly.

All the time he refused to acknowledge my presence and I would gladly do the same to him.

I stole a look to see him, he looks so mad at me. His face showed nothing and he had quite an empty gaze the entire time.

"What problem?" Liam asked further, he didn't understand if Devan didn't want to talk about it.

"Don't worry, I'll deal with it soon, '" he assured

I swallowed spit. He indirectly told me that he would indeed repay me.

"Oh, and by the way, how did your clothes get in the park? The gardener gave it to me and said that the shirt fell out of the window." Liam asked puzzledly and Anna choked on a piece of chicken, everyone turned to look at him.

"I accidentally swallowed a chicken bone" he explained, taking a glass of water and chugging it in seconds.

"There will be other, more delicious foods that will make you choke in the near future." Gio announces that Anna has spewed out the water she drank, all over Gio's body,

"thank you. "She said while taking out a handkerchief and wiping her face. "And I will tell you that there will be other delicious things that you will swallow in the near future" continued Gio

"GIO!! Sam jerking. "Silent. We're all eating, don't you know we shouldn't talk when we eat?" she screamed

Gio ignored him.

"Remember in the near future" he murmured. "I'll eat something more delicious later as well"

"I don't feel well". Anna pushed her seat and ran to the nearest bathroom she could find.

"Can't you not be dirty?" Sam scolded. "We don't need to know what personal things you will do in the near future!

"OK, okay. And if you don't think dirty like that, you won't understand what's being talked about. So don't accuse me of having dirty thoughts if you're the same". Gio retaliated.

"You never change" Sam sighed, shaking his head. "Let's eat 'em, and be quiet"

Liam and Devan seem unaffected by Gio's inappropriate remarks. They might be used to it now.

I quietly continued eating and so did the others.

"So as I asked, how did your clothes get there?" Liam asked after a few minutes of silence.

Why are they still talking about it?!!!

Devan shrugged his shoulders. "Eitherway. But it's not at all that crazy girl who thinks that locking my closet and stealing my clothes and throwing them out the window is funny."

"What?" Liam asked, confused.

"Nothing."

The conversation died down after that. It felt like it took me a long time to finish my lunch.

I just want to get out of here, more precisely get away from Devan before we get involved in an awkward meeting.

I said it too soon because I had just grabbed the salt, the other hand had already grabbed it. We both stopped when we were going to take it. Our eyes looked at each other for the first time at lunch and saw a hint of annoyance adorning her Handsome face. Wait, what?

Devan slowly pulled his hand back to let me get the salt first.Take it and sprinkle it on my plate. I put the salt back on the table and gave it to Devan.

Soon enough, lunch was over and everyone returned to their respective affairs. I didn't see Devan again until dinner and even then we avoided each other like there was a plague.

I wanted to say sorry.wanted to tell her that I didn't mean to do that and I felt bad for having done it.

I didn't meet Devan for the rest of the day, except at dinner where we avoided each other as usual.
