We had to leave at nine so we could get to Paris until seven for dinner at the fancy restaurant where we had already made reservations.
We arrived at the private jet at about ten in the evening and I was sitting in a comfortable seat, but it took a little while until we took off. Once I was in the air, I couldn't stop admiring the world down there. Everything looks so small, but the world looks so big
I never expected that I would sit inside a luxurious and spacious private jet with everything I needed served to me on a silver platter. It felt so real that I wanted to pinch myself once in a while to make sure I wasn't in dreamland.
A couple of flight attendants came to meet our needs. I ordered the juice because I was so thirsty. There were books and magazines on the table right in front of me and with Anna sitting on the other side.I picked up a book at random and happened to be Nights in Rodanthe. I don't really like to read, but Anna is a very good reader. He said it was a good book, so I sat in my seat and opened the first chapter, I read and occasionally looked down at the world below me, I can say I feel like I'm in the clouds.
After about five hours of continuous reading, with my butt feeling flat and numb despite changing positions many times, I finally put the book down. after reading more than half of the books and stretching the body in a chair. The girls who were previously in this compartment mysteriously disappeared and after being examined, I found some of them were in the bedroom, a nice bedroom. The theme is gold and just looking at the decorations makes me sleepy. So I walked further and found an empty bedroom and flopped on the bed. The bed felt very soft and I lay on it while closing my eyes.
I didn't know when the battery fell asleep, but when it woke up, the room was still empty and everything seemed to be as natural as ever, so I assumed it seemed like I slept for no more than fifteen minutes.
Yawning, I walked out of the room to look for Anna and I found her with my head set in the book.
"Hey."
"Hey," she replied, not looking up to see me
"What time is it?"
"Hour six".
"What?" I screamed at Anna. "Don't tell me I slept for five hours!"
"You're sleeping."
"Wow really? Time passes very quickly. I thought I only slept for fifteen minutes."
I looked out the window and indeed, it was getting dark outside but could still see the world below being lit up. It was a beautiful sight.
"When are we gonna get there?"
"After half an hour, I guess."
I'm nodding. "All right."
I didn't want to read, so I ate right away because I was hungry and the food was delicious.
Luna, Bella, and Samantha with Jessica on her lap were watching a movie. Mr and Mrs Daralyn are nowhere to be seen and Liam may be video chatting with his girlfriend as this is the only time for them to talk. Nathalie is a very busy supermodel and she will even show Samantha's last outfit on the night of her show. I can't wait for him to get excited. It was the first time I saw such a show in real life and I wanted to know what it was like to sit among the audience wearing the best clothes and looking the prettiest while watching a fashion show.
We landed after forty-five minutes and were escorted straight to the hotel. Although David has another big house here, we will not stay there because it is far from where the show will be held in a few days, so it will not be comfortable. Sam has a variety of exercises he has to coordinate and manage today so he won't have any free time at all until after the show. He was the main reason we stayed at the hotel, but I didn't complain because it was so nice. Everyone in this hotel yelled at me that this hotel was for the rich and only the rich could afford such luxury.
Our room is huge. It was about the same size as my room at home. Everything was clean and tidy and had the whole room to myself. I'm sure that David has booked about two floors of the hotel for a few days for all the family members.
After refreshing myself, I started getting ready for dinner. Although there will be dinner at a nice restaurant, there will still be family and some friends of Samantha's model, so do not mind to dress up too grand.
Devan and his parents had landed here a little before us, and I just saw him at the restaurant when I came in. He escorted his mother to a seat on a large rectangular table. I sat next to Anna and the others sat around us. The dinner was delicious and the chat was Amanda and entertaining. I was introduced to some of Sam and Nathalie's model friends. We chatted for a while and after that they continued the conversation with Sam.
At one point, Elena, Devan's mother seemed very interested in talking to me. She couldn't attend my birthday party for some reason, but she sent me a nice pair of stiletto shoes.
"Do you like your gift?" She asked.
"Yes, I like it. The shoes are beautiful."
"It's okay."
"So tell me, is Devan still a bitch? Are you guys still fighting like kids?".
I chuckled, "Oh, at first it was, I admit, but recently we decided to try to be polite and friendly with each other and so far we have made great progress".
"Oh!" Elena looked surprised. "That's amazing. I thought you two would never grow up."
"Did Devan not tell you?"
"Oh, no, he's not a storyteller, especially me."
"really?"
"Yes, he never told me anything that happened in his personal life. He didn't even tell me when he was with Luna. A very pretty girl. I just hope he's really serious with her. At first I started to wonder if he was gay
"Mom!" Devan intercepted him, giving me time to control my laughter
Elena ignored him altogether because her head was always immersed in her books. It doesn't matter if he's gay,
"Mom. Stop talking"
"Oh, shut up, Devan. I haven't talked to Daria in a long time, let me talk for a while".
"At least can you not gossip about my sexuality!". Devab whispered sharply. "I have a boyfriend. That should be enough to dispel any doubts you have about my preferences".
"I don't doubt it, I'm just saying what I was thinking."
"Can't you find another topic?" He whines.
"All right." Elena said, annoyed. "It's your fault if you don't tell me anything.
"I'm telling you all the important things". Devan retaliated.
"really? Then tell me are you going to marry Luna? When are you going to marry her? When will I become a grandmother?"
Devan groaned, "Please, don't talk about this."
Elena scoffs. "You tell me everything that matters? It's important to me."
Devan looks very uncomfortable and although it is nice to see him like that, I feel sorry for him. I also don't want to be in that kind of situation with my parents, if they're still alive.
"So..what are you doing on your birthday?" elena asks to distract him from the topic of Devan's future marriage with Luna, their children, and their future rainbow.
It worked because he immediately told me all the problems in his company. Apparently he is the CEO of a large food company that deals with all kinds of foods - healthy, processed, packaged and grown naturally.
Devan seemed relieved to see his mother's attention now diverted to something else. He quietly ate his food while having a little conversation.
