I'm Not Daria

I'm Not Daria
Three fingers

"So what's the plan?" Anna asked after breakfast when I said that I would take revenge on Devan.

"The ordinary . I'm gonna put a lot of alarm clocks in his room, exactly three. One from your room, one from mine, and another from Devan's room." I answered while sipping my coffee.

"You should be more creative with your plans. I'm very disappointed" Anna said as she shook her head at me.

"Hey! That's all I can think of. Though I have considered another idea," I reply.

"Yes? What's the example like?"

"First put eye drops in her drink to get her severe diarrhea but I couldn't find any eye drops. Second, I planned to stick wet cotton balls all over his expensive cars but it would only ruin his beauty, so no, I wouldn't do it. And the last one ever stuck a needle in the toilet seat, but it was disgusting, so I let it go" I said, frowning in disgust.

Anna breathed out through her mouth. "Impressive," he murmured. "So you're gonna do this at night?"

I'm nodding. "She slept around midnight so I'll sneak into her room and set up this plan."

"And he's gonna leave the door open so you can do this, right?" Anna asked cynically.

"I've planned this, Anna. There's a key to every room in this house. Madame Daralyn told me she kept it in the kitchen, near the fridge. I'll look for him". I convinced.

I finished my coffee which was already a bit cold and placed it on an empty dining table and before long one of the waiters came out of the kitchen with a tray in his hand containing two empty coffee cups. He took mine and ran back to the kitchen.

"It seems you've planned everything." Anna said after the maid was not seen again.

"I told you," I replied, twisting my eyes. "Anyway, I'm going to go and take a shower right now" I said, jumping off a chair and waving at him.

On my way upstairs to my room, I met Amara who was almost drowned in a sea of clothes and suitcases that looked heavy

"Hey Amara, what's going on?" I asked while looking at her who was struggling to hold her suitcase and clothes.

"Mr and Mrs Daralyn are leaving for Paris tomorrow night to celebrate their twenty-seventh wedding anniversary at the same place where Mr David proposed to Mrs Daralyn," Samara giggled, slightly panting.

"Oh, so they're leaving tomorrow?" many ensure. "My mom didn't tell me about this."

"Yes Miss, they already said," he said, finally giving up and putting down his suitcase to catch his breath even though he was still carrying a pile of clothes.

"How long will they be gone?"

"I don't know, I think two weeks," he said. "But don't worry they'll be back before your birthday" she smiled brightly. "Now I have to really get to work. If there's anything you need, don't hesitate to call me," he said, and he huffled with the heavy suitcase again in his hand and walked down.

Mr and Mrs Daralyn are going out of town - even abroad for two whole weeks?? Of course I'm very happy because there's no need to act like their daughter for two weeks. So relieving. At least it will ease the guilt that haunts me and help me to remove the burden.

On the way to my room, I once again hit someone. And I'm not too happy to meet this guy.

"I see your ankles have improved" Devan commented, exiting his room as I placed my hand on the doorknob to get into the room.

"I groaned, it hurts more when I see your face," I replied, before adding, "and it turns out my day is getting worse, thank you very much."

"Dramatic as always," Devan rolled his eyes. "You should feel lucky because I came to check if your ankle's better, because there's a better thing to do than this."

"Yes? Likewhat? Planning a childish revenge on me?" I sneered "Yeah, that's a better thing you should do."

Devan shook his head.

"At least I'm not like you, a loser who doesn't even want to fight." He retaliated.

He walked away while staring at my back, I just realized that he was wearing a suit to work

Just wait and see, Devan Addams!!. If I were you, I would sleep with one eye open. I should have shouted out loudly so that he could hear it. I murmured inwardly.

His laughter echoed throughout the empty hallway. "I want to see what you're gonna do"

"You'll know what I'm doing, Devan in a moment." I whispered with a grin, not intending for him to hear it, and indeed not.

....

"Eh.. So mom and dad are leaving for Paris tomorrow night?" ask me as relaxed as possible. Madame Daralyn was in my room, with me rummaging through a sea of neatly stacked clothes in my enormous wardrobe to find something simple and comfortable to wear, and it would be impossible if I found a simple outfit.

"Yes, I didn't think that David wanted to keep it a secret for me, but he was a bad secret keeper, so people would know it quickly" she replied. Daraly. I could hear and feel the love she felt for her husband, David.

"That's really sweet mom. So, how long are you two going to be gone?"

"I don't know, honey. Maybe for two weeks, or maybe up to three weeks. But don't worry, we won't let us miss your twentieth birthday. I'll make sure it'll be special for you" he assured me by kissing my forehead.

"T-Thank you, Mom," I stuttered, taking a deep breath before adding, "I love you.

"Ah, I love you too, dear," she clucked, "mother comes down first to take care of some things. I'll be right back and then we can have dinner with your dad"

I nodded at her while looking at her smiling widely, her eyes showing how happy she was. With one last look, he left my room.

"Ah, it's a very sweet mother and daughter moment that you both have." I heard Anna say and I rolled my eyes, seeing her tall and slender body pitching into the room.

"What are you doing here?" I asked to see him plop down on my bed, lying on his back while facing the ceiling

"Someone asked for my clock and I thought I would give it to him" he replied, propping up his elbow to look at me

"All right, thank you. You can leave now" he said curtly

"Your mood doesn't seem to be good. But you were fine at breakfast two hours ago. Who's making you mad?" He asked as he placed his alarm clock on the nightstand.

"I met someone I didn't want to see until nightfall" I replied, randomly choosing a wine-red top to pair with shorts

"Devan?" Anna guessed, she chuckled as I groaned at her.

"Yes, she also made my day worse by showing her ugly face" I grumbled.

"He's not ugly. It's because you're hostile to him, and it makes me his enemy too. By the way he looks very handsome and sexy."

"What's? No!!. He has an ugly face" I protested. "And you should not praise your enemies"!

"Okay, he's a shitty guy with a handsome face," Anna corrected herself with a grin.

"That doesn't make any sense." Answer me with annoyance. "And what if we don't talk about it. You're just making my day worse than ever."

"How much do you hear?" I asked, too lazy to give him a full explanation.

"From the moment he said that they wouldn't miss your twentieth birthday."

"David and Daralyn are leaving for Paris tomorrow night".

"What's? Really true?" Anna asked excitedly.

"Yes, right," I answered

"For how long?"

I shrugged my shoulders. "He said two weeks, but it could be more than three weeks. But they won't miss my birthday - I mean, Daria's twentieth birthday" I said, taking a comb from the dresser and trying to gently tame my curly hair.

"Oh, I think that's good?" Anna asked questioningly.

"Yes, I think so," I shrugged. "I was shocked to learn that Daria was going to celebrate her birthday at the same time as me. Even I'll be twenty in a few more weeks."

....

As I was about to go to the dining room, I saw someone who was not a stranger.

Anna grumbling. "I hate this. What's he doing here?"

"I don't know" I replied as I lay down on the chair.

"Hello, ladies." Gio said, grinning widely as Anna was forced to sit before him. We do not reply.

"I'm honored to have dinner with two of the best women I've ever known like you." Said Gio.

"Stop that acting, it doesn't suit you, '" Anna said

Gio narrowed his eyes at him, before looking around the dining table that was still empty and not filled with people.

"Tell me, oh most holy Anna, what is it that when it is pierced with blood but does not hurt?" Gio asked while grinning and grimacing.

"Gio, shut up" said Anna.

"Wahh, you're a disgusting human being, Anna," Gio replied, ignoring Anna's request to stop, just like she used to do.

Anna was angry and threw away her face.

"Long and hard but useful, what is it?". Gio continued his silly riddle.

I let out a breath. If this continues, I'll be Crazy.

"High education." Anna answered with a grin. "I've read about that."

"Hm .. What starts with "P" and ends with 'ORN and is the hottest part of the film industry?"

Anna opened her mouth before shaking her head and closing it again.

"Popcorn, obviously 140 characters isn't enough to express how slovenly your imagination is." Gio chuckled softly before continuing, "Some people prefer to be on top, others prefer to be on the bottom. And it always brushes with the bed. Whatisit?

"Where's your off button?" Anna asked.

"The answer's a bunk bed, stupid." Gio replied, ignoring him as usual

"Gio, I politely ask you to shut up if you don't want my breakfast and lunch spilled over you"

"Oh, and this is what I like the most. If you raise three fingers"

"Hello, Madame. Daraly. It's nice to meet you. You look beautiful. Howwasyourday?" Anna asked loudly, silencing Gio and I turned from my seat to look at Ms. Daralyn walked towards us.

"Oh Anna, thank you. And my day is fun, thank you." He said, smiling kindly at Anna before turning to Gio. "I heard you say three fingers. You meanwhat?"

"Uh..... "Gio seemed at a loss for words. "Um it was, um. three fingers uh, I-.."

Gio stuttered, failing to find anything.

"She said yesterday that she visited a fortune teller who advised her to wear three different gemstone rings on her three fingers to keep them safe" Anna lied smoothly.

Gio heaved a sigh of relief. "Yes." Yeah."

"The fortuneteller told him that this would be the darkest time of his life.It was likely that his bird would be cut off because his mouth was always dirty, dirty, and disrespectful." added Anna who made Gio glare at her

"What?" Madam Daralyn asked in confusion.

"Nothing." Anna said with a sweet smile at him.

At that moment, Mr. David and Devan sat in their seats and food was served.

"Devan, you look tired. Does taking care of the casino make you tired?" Mr. David asked worriedly and I only saw faint dark circles under his eyes due to lack of sleep

"Thank you for your concern, Mr. David, but I'm fine" Devan replied politely.

I snorted in my heart. Cihh modesty is not something that suits you.

"Don't push yourself too hard, okay?" He said he was greeted by Devan's nod

"Not going"

Mr. David took this moment to tell us about his plans in Paris, which of course we already knew. He asked us to take care of ourselves and not hesitate to contact them if something went wrong.

He spoke to us as if we were children who would be left at home alone. And that was true when I saw Devan and Gio acting childish.

Devan, Gio, Anna and I congratulate them for being a complementary couple for twenty-seven years.
